My cousin has a 8th gen and I gotta 9th gen, I can tell you one thing is if you like smashing the shit out of your car everyday day “ driving like you stole it “ get a 8th gen. If you want a comfier ride and like the more aggressive feel for torque then get a 9th gen. Both are amazing cars.
compared to other cars at the time, the 8th gen civic when it debuted was mind blowing and the coupe when it came later. Highly studied and copied bu others, it was the standard, even though mazda 3 and golf won all of the awards with more powerful engines and turbos. 8th coupe and sedan have iconic shapes that inspired all the rest, and one of the nicest interiors and seat coverings (minus todays electronics and infotainments Go look at a clean 8th gen, feel the dash and seats, headliner, covered cupholder, wheel gap, overall proportions. Then look at stock 9th and 10th gen. I do like the led front and rear lights that are just no making it to regular cars of the tenth. The ninth gen was a huge letdown, and needed a quick unheard of redesign, although the coupe looks nice, cost cutting hurt it, and do not forget real vtec. The tenth raised the handling bar, with wider bigger tires, better and adjustable dampers, better ride (of course you can mod they others and they were top handlers in their day.
what did you use to black out your chrome on the front grill? i've blacked mine out twice and it keeps chipping ): does yours chip? i even got it painted with chip resistant paint
Definitely!! The new Civics are too big looking, too many harsh creased lines like everything else on the road instead of the smooth fluid look of the 9th gen. Preferred the unique split screen dash compared to the latest gen with the rather ordinary looking dash. I always lease new Civics and the latest is my 2015 SI in the Dyno Pearl blue. Love it so much I'm gonna buy this one outright, rather than re-lease a 2019 model which has lost its smooth curved sporty look overall. Love yours!!
Not really feeling that moogen wing. Looks better with the stock wing and pwjdm gurney flap. Time to get some wheels the stocks gotta go I would just delete the front plate imo cleans up the front end other than that can’t wait to get my fb6

You can put a turbo on a 9th gen civic si but you cant put a vtec on a 10th gen civic si.
