Before this car I had a 07 GTI and a 13 335i. Neither one of those can keep up with this car on the reliability side. No problems so far, while both of those cars had issues all of the damn time. this is my 3rd Honda and I'm happy to be back.
That NBA Guy Josh I agree, I currently have a 07 GTi, And I’m on the side of the highway Waiting for a tow. Definitely go agree, Might buy a Fb6 or an S2k next.
Oh ya dude thanks for the love, Si's are pretty good to be a good priced and reliable sporty car and I couldn't of chose better, congrats on your purchase as well.
Awesome car!!! I have the exact same car. So many haters on RUclips!! New Si is sick! PERIOD!!! If you hate Hondas then why are you watching??!! Good vid bro!
I'm itching to get my hands on one of these man in modern steel metallic. White was my first choice, but I"m concerned about its longevity (will it yellow with time, get stubborn dirt stains on it etc.)
White is always my first choice for anything. The paint is very durable just clean it regularly and never ever run the car through the automated washes. That will mess your paint up. My cars paint is spotless and I love it.
Jason Gomez I got my Si today in modern steel metallic. Man its great and I love it but I just wish I was better at driving stick shift. I'm kinda afraid to drive it because I don't wanna hurt it or get rear ended stalling and what not. Hopefully I'll get much better with practice
So today ( now yesterday lol ) i bought this same one in Red. My question is how can i get all four doors to unlock with Hands Free? The driver door is the only one that unlocks.
I went with white because the paint won't show swirls as much as black will. I wash my car every weekend by hand and air dry it on the freeway. I don't touch my car with a rag ever. I have seen many black si's they are very nice don't get me wrong but the taffeta white with the black accents of the car is amazing. Good luck deciding man
Nice car bro. I have the same exact car just a '14 but it's the same car. Had mine almost a year so far and like it. Can't say I love it, could have a little less torque steer and more power but the beauty of Hondas is very cheap upgrades :) FWIW, I got mine for 23,700 out the door. I've heard from guys on 9thgencivic that Cali prices are insane but that's a bit above insane. Who cares though, enjoy it man.
Yes, I do agree the price was very steep and I might of been able to get maybe 1k off but I did get an extended warranty. This is my first honda and I love it, the internal and externals of the car are perfect and amazingly clean. The cars torque is a bit too much I do agree on that, and I am slowly but surely upgrading everything to be stanced and I can't wait. Thanks for the comment man stick around
One more thing, overseas your Civic came with oem projectors, passwordjdm sells them. And as for the light in the sunroof switch for the cup holders, your car is probably already wired up for it, you just need a sunroof switch that has it. Go to a junk yard, they'll have some. Try Milano auto salvage in Wilmington, ca (close to carson) that's where I got mine from. Good luck.
I was really upset that it didn't come with projectors for a somewhat sports car it should have the amenities of other cars in its class ( brz, frs, gti, etc,). I do love the car though and I can't wait to stance this beast. Thank for the info btw I will be checking them out
What part of the US do you live in? I got my 15 dyno blue coupe for 20k out the door. 26k seems high for the basic si. My gf got her 14 si sedan for just over 20k too.
I live in California and ya it was expensive but this is the last year for the 9th gen and the white is the most popular color as well. They weren't really wanting to haggle so I got it for the monthly payment I wanted as well as a great apr 1.9 %. So I really can't be any happier but a lower priced car would of been nice.
Lightning15 I think the Coupe looks OK, but the Sedan had a lot more room which is honestly the most important thing when dealing with company. The HDMI is used to Mirror your phone, so since my car does not have the navigation feature built in, I can buy the Honda Nav App on my phone and display it on the screen. This feature is identical to the nav package yet you save $1000. You can also display anything on your phone, as long as you are parked with the E-Brake up. This is only ment for basic apps like netflix and youtube, if you are running the honda nav app while in motion it will work on the display but nothing else will.
I'm confused with the HDMI thing... I know for a fact iPhones DO NOT have an HDMI port and I'm pretty sure it's safe to say most androids don't have an HDMI port either so how exactly does that work?
You buy this iOS cable kit the honda sells and it comes with a lightning cable converter so you can plug it in to the hdmi. For the android users they sell converter cables to hdmi so you access the port.
I'm thinking of getting this, do you know if there are any differences in equipment with the 2015 si and exl nav (or whatever was the highest trim level for 9th Gen civic)?
Tech Defender the only difference between them was the navigation built into the system. Other wise the car is the same. There are 3 different si's, base model which is mine, base model with sumner tires, and navigation.
Tech Defender the 9th gen Civic came loaded like that. The navigation system is shit as well so poeple didn't buy it. The summer tires package was bad as well the tires are garbage. So most people including myself bought the base model because it has everything in it loaded for no extra charge.
so this has been my dream car an Si and i want to get one by next year in Spring but i heard you saying that the total price was 26k??? thats a lot of money?? you didnt get any deals on it?
+Edgar Mijangos This was the price at my dealership, and like I said I am in LA. The market in LA is a-bit high, I got an extended warranty along with the alarm system which marketed it up a little. I didn't pay tax and license, nor did I give them a down payment. You will most definitely get a better deal then I did if you don't get any extras things and if you put a down payment.
+Jason Gomez you also mention that your payments were about 400 dollars with a 1.9 percent interest which means that is about 2,000 dollars extra so with that said. how much do you have to sacrifice or put aside for the car and insurance and gas thanks for taking the time in replying the reason I ask is because I want to see realistically if I can afford this car I would get a 2010 civic si but I want it brand new I don't want to do use cars anymore .
+Edgar Mijangos Ya no problem on the response bro, I'm paying 430 a month on the car and paying about 200 on insurance through State Farm. I have a Very good insurance plan so I'm happy with it. I'm 21 in LA and I'm a Guy obviously so the insurance is going to be high until I'm about 25. The gas is about 30 to fill up completely and will last about 2 weeks, this is my daily as well and I work 5 days a week so I do do some driving. Hope this helps out man
Wow thats good insight. So you are saying that you pay around 650 per month On just car expenses!!???? Wow thats a lot. I thought owning a civic was much cheaper...
26k and they didn't give you the little red courtesy/accent/couple holder light next to the sunroof switch SMH. I got a 06 ex sedan, I have the exact same switch but mine came with a blue light. You'll love your car even more once you drop it on your oem 18's, and tint the windows. Maybe even upgrade to the LED Hybrid tailights. They're plug and play and they look fire with a white car.
+Jason Gomez I really like this civic in the white Color. But it's tafetta white. Not sure if Honda has changed it but it never had any clear coat on the tafetta white paint jobs. (Google it) our 03 odyssey tafetta paint peeled in patches about the same time in multiple places. Been seeing the same with 05-07 Odysseys. And my friends accord that is tafetta white (2007) is peeling near the top of the rear window
26k? geez is it the base model? i have the same exact car but i got it at 21.9k sorry man sounds like you got a shitty deal. i put a lot down, but that total price of 26k is HIGH (i got it in riverside)
+Jason Gomez Yeah, sorry I came across pretty rude with my last comment. But yes I am leasing. And in response to Roxas comment, it helps to have two Honda dealerships in your town. I just went back and forth to both until I got the deal I was looking for. It also helps when you have been a Honda costumer for over 10 years and have had over 6 cars purchased with them.
$26K for this? You got ripped off man! At $26K you're already in a completely different class. Try loaded Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.4 or Sonata Turbo 2.0, or Dodge Charger SXT /w Rallye package (8 spd.
+Kimo Stryhn Thanks Man, couldn't disagree
It is sick. Because if it was healthy it wouldn't be so slow
Just bought the same exact car, color and all. Lovin it!
+Beau Michael Congrats Man!
+Jason Gomez Thank you sir!
Right now I have a 07 SI I found a 15 SI in blue thinking about upgrading do you still have yours?
They're 18's not 17's. Look at the tire specs on the sidewall of the tire. Should 225/45/R18 or pretty close to that. The R18 means 18 in wheels
R is the speed rating and the 18 is the wheel size
I am so pissed that i cant get the Si in germany. I drive a 6th gen coupe but i really want the new one.

Hydragurum No Problem man

So today ( now yesterday lol ) i bought this same one in Red. My question is how can i get all four doors to unlock with Hands Free? The driver door is the only one that unlocks.
_ES UN BUEN VEHÍCULO EL HONDA CÍVIC LA VERDAD VALE LA PENA INVERTIR EN UNO BUENA CÁLIDA SALUDOS DESDE COATZACOALCOS VERACRUZ_
I bought this as my son's first car. He loves it and so do I. I was surprised how roomy it is despite being a compact car
yes this video did help me alot thanks be goingvthis week to test drive one..
Not sure if I should get white or black si
I went with white because the paint won't show swirls as much as black will. I wash my car every weekend by hand and air dry it on the freeway. I don't touch my car with a rag ever. I have seen many black si's they are very nice don't get me wrong but the taffeta white with the black accents of the car is amazing. Good luck deciding man
brooo get white. I got mine white, you won't regret it.

What's better 9th gen or 10th gen?
cool thanks for the replie thinking of purchasing this car!! i have heard gears are close
+Cesar Hernandez No Problem Man, I hope the video helps in your decision.

What's the difference between the 2014 si & the 2015??
Pretty much the same. But a 13 si don't have the red strip seats and rim
Why are they so highly priced in L.A. I got my 15 si sedan here in NYC for 22k...no navi. I got it in orange fire pearl
Congrats man, and yes LA is very expensive
nyaman dan aman..... sporti, elegan & memukau.
So you paid wel over 30k for this car? 26k plus taxes plus looks like you got gap alarm etc
I got the extended warranty along with the alarm by the end of my term I will pay 29k
I got the car tax and license for 26k
Beautiful car
did you get this car brand new? how much for the total price?
Kimberly Catabay Both questions were answered if you watch the video.

Getting one of these soon ✍
Amazing. Car
Thanks 😁
how does it drive smooth shifting????
+Cesar Hernandez Ya I love the Shifting other then the Gears are very Close. Yes Smooth shifting is very achievable.
Wish it had flat bottom steering wheel:( but still nice!!!
@mehmeh2121 thanks for that
Put Megan racing coils ... And your set .. I got 2013 civic s.i ... On megan racing ezll coils i put 25k on them no problems at all 👍👍👍
Sweet car!!! Wish mine was white lol.
Thanks man, I love it I couldn't of choose a better color.

Nick Wong im in LA and shits expensive but ya i know its alot
Nick Wong The Si's in my area of LA are 25k and over
I'm buying the ivtec sticker for my accord sport
congrats man!
Pretty good deal...? Jesus Christ. In Canada our SI costs 32k. Just picked one up for $303.41 a month. 48 month term. 0 down. It's called negotiating!
+Allen Marks lease? I ended up with the EX trim.
+fo0lishguy Hes Obviously Leasing the Vehicle that why its so cheap but at the end of the day he's just renting the car.
+Jason Gomez

17" rims

$26K for this? You got ripped off man!
At $26K you're already in a completely different class. Try loaded Hyundai Sonata Sport 2.4 or Sonata Turbo 2.0, or Dodge Charger SXT /w Rallye package (8 spd. ZF auto, paddles, etc.). From what I gather you either paid MSRP or just above. Check Edmunds/TrueCar/KBB once in a while. But hey, it's your money! Don't get me wrong, I like the Civic Si, but not for $26K. It's still got a crappy engine, not any better than any other 2.4L out there.
PS: Finance guy knows about cameras... right, lol! Bought over 20 cars in the past 8 years, I know how finance people are. Did you buy a maintenance package by the way?
Wolf Man Yes, the car was expensive but the market for Si's in LA are very overpriced. I got an Extended warranty that bumped it up to 8 Years 100k Miles. In all fairness, it is your hard earned money :-) Plus, you have access to the same info as everyone else, so I'm sure that you cross shopped and evaluated your option. Didn't know they were so expensive in L.A. - Here in N.C. Honda dealers can't give a Civic Si away, so they rarely keep them in stock. Beware of 3rd party warranties, they are usually scams. Google "US Fidelis" sometime, they've also been featured on CNBC - "Americasn Greed". Enjoy your Si, it's an awesome car! Wish you'd payed less for it :P
+Wolf Man ya thanks for the info man, and I do wish I saved some more $
Dont support stance. Stance is for people who can't afford make their car fast.
I can definitely afford parts to make it fast, but I don't wanna race. I don't want to put money into a car that will just get me into trouble. Where is the fun in that? And to say that people that are into stance can't afford internals is just a dumb remark.
theirs actually Auto for '15 SI not Just Manual
***** Where did you see that? The U.S version Si is Manual only im 100% sure.
...they're 19"!!!??? you're doing a car review and you don't even know how to read your wheel/tire size!? well.... you got a start somewhere.... good effort! ;)
I didn't think it was that important, I felt the interior was the most important part. That's why I took my time to show the cars internals. Next time I will take my time and look I honestly just eyeballed it.
I went to look at the Si, I was incredibly disappointed with the cheap feeling plastics inside: The turn signal levers, dash, the door latches, the flimsy skinney shifter, and everything felt very light and cheap. No sale for me.
Ya I do agree on some of the things but a lot of cars have flaws based on preference. I love the car and it offers everything that I could ever want in a great package. Thanks for your comment though bro
SI Guy The Si performance and reliability is great....I want one, but why cant Honda step up that interior!
You want Honda to step up their interior??? HAVE YOU SEEN HOW THEY'VE IMPROVED OVER THE YEARS?! And for a $23k car, you're getting a well over $23k interior. It's a performance car, you're gonna get cheap plastics. But, for a $23k car, I think you're getting a decent interior IMO.
Ishieness Have you seen the Golf and base Mini interiors? No comparison! They don't feel as cheap as Civic...no offense but it is the truth. I want to love the Civic Si, but everything I touched felt skimpy and cheap.
The Si engine and chassis are great!
Not a single difference between the 14 & 15
Yea I realized it but I still felt like putting a video up of it
cop
