I am deciding for dad. He's 90. He is mostly at home, but in hospitals a lot where there can be a lot of confusion and noise and beeping medical equipment. Deciding between 4 hearing aids: OTICON MORE 1, OTICON MORE 2, RESOUND OMNIA 9 62 series, RESOUND OMNIA 7 62 series. I've heard some say there's no difference for dad between middle and highest technology given his environments. I can't help but feel there is some benefit for dad even in non-concert venues and at home in the highest technolgy, which in the case of Oticon More, includes some kind of 360 technology and more bands to work with. Some people claim Resound is so much better, I'm so confused. I want dad in the last part of his life to have the most natural, rich sound and I don't want him to miss a word. Of the four, I could use a rec for the single best option of the 4. Thank you so much.

Im a first time hearing aid user. Yesterday I talked to my audiologist and didn't think to ask if this hearing aid comes with a basic charger. I know dumb question. One would think so with the cost . Oh my .
Thanks for posting this video. Good to know all the bells and whistles octon more comes with.

Jess, another great video. A small suggestion. Size of the hearing aids in MM would help. Some of the rechargeable ones seem awfully large visually. Thanks for your great work.

I am trialing the More 1 aids and am able to connect them to the Bluetooth on my Sony TV. The bad news is that if my wife is present she cannot hear the TV. The good news is that these aids are so good I can hear the TV sound clearly without connecting to Bluetooth.

    • @Ziphearing

Eventually the TV Adapter will be available again, and that will allow you to stream it directly to your hearing aids, while keeping the volume of the TV on where everyone else likes it.

    Hi Jeff
I spoke to you a couple years back, but still haven’t made a new purchase.
My Beltone hearing aids are now a few years old , and I find aren’t working very well for me as far as clarity. They stream ok, but I still have trouble making out speech, tv, etc. this video on oticon more looks good, and phonak paradise looks good. The oticn concept of speech sounds confusing. I enjoy your reviews!

I start my trial on Thursday. Can't wait! My Phonak Audeos are five years old and can't be used with a phone app so having one of those to optimise my hearing experience should be interesting.

Hmmm...that is a real tough one. Why not try both? Call us at 800-731-6794 and we can arrange for that. But, to try to answer...if you're an Android user, Phonak is probably a better choice. But both are fantastic, they are both our best sellers...you never know till you try them which will be better for you :)

@@Ziphearing Yes...but I will not see Jennifer until Sept 9. I liked Widex esponse time that minimizes out of phase sounds in the ear, but understand that deep neural network will likey provide more benefit for my hearing as my earpiece will be more closed than open.

You made life easy, thanks a bunch! 😊 I was watching Oticon More presentation and did my best to understand what they’re saying but at the same time was in doubt because they’re using heavy words and phrases for their new model just to sound different from
other brands. Maybe it was a marketing strategy. But here in your video, when you used “algorithm”, in just a snap, I started to understand their new technology, what a smart way of explaining! 👍👍👍 You should be on that stage in their next presentation. 😊 I have been using Resound but considering to try Oticon More. And your easy to understand explanation made me more convinced to give Oticon More a try. I’m in Japan, I will apply online for the free two-week trial. If I decide to buy here in Japan, will I be able to get that TV adapter? Or is there any way I can avail it even though I’m in Japan? Thanks!

Wearing Opn1 at the moment and they're pretty good for my severe loss. My audiogram does a steep ski-slope (25dB @125Hz then 75dB @250Hz), and I'm wondering how the More compares with Opn1 for fine-tuning? Is it possible to test at an intermediate frequency, so that the ski-slope shape more accurately shows what I can hear in between 125 and 250Hz?
    Nice video, thanks.

Hi Jim :) The price will vary significantly depending on where you liv, the model you buy (there are 3 tech levels), and the service plan included. I think a reasonable range you could expect would be about $3500-$6500 for a pair.
