You are the first person who has shown us how to take the cover off at the very beginning of the video. Thanks. I still have to do over 85000 kms before I change my spark plugs. Your videos are very clear. I've liked and subscribed.
@ CJR ELECTRICAL Hope you are well! Have you ever looked at changing the pcv valve on this car at all ? Mine is making a high pitched whine and some suggest changing the pcv valve but it looks a bit awkward to get to ...
It's a real shame, I can't seem to find anything for the 1.4 version as the engine layout is different. My coil pack is on the rear of the engine... Any idea of how I should approach this?
Hello, I have a honda civic gen8 2.2 CTDi. I just realised the glow plugs never been changed, got 153k on the clock, no missfires. Been taking really good care of the car since I bought it, general maintance done. Just passed MOT with no advisories, beside all the care, everytime I start the car and I am not moving, it smells like diesel inside (no leaks, already been checked by 3 diferent mechanics). Could this be a cause? Any ideias or sugestion? Thank You
@@Cjrelectrical Also, thank You for the reply. I learned a lot from Your videos since last Year. Wished You would have done a lot more about this model

Cool Mate Mate
+Marcin Staszewski cheers
nice... how many KM did you do before changing the plugs? 120K?
Why is there an obvious cut right before you take off the plastic off completely?
Not like it matters now, I've damaged the cover anyway
Hi great video! Where did you purchase the magnet tool from? Been looking around online for something similar
Amazon/eBay… a few quid…

i think the Honda Jazz has a similar engine, maybe try search for videos on that?
Looks like a nice simple job. Where is the best place to purchase the spark plugs from?
+Guy Johnson I purchased these from a seller on eBay shop around as the price can go from £35-80 , also gear knob in post next week for you .
be careful of fakes though. I am not sure if there is any performance issues if you bought a fake.
Alex Broomop yes stay away from dual or quad spark , you will encounter miss-fires eventually.
@@Cjrelectrical The cheap ones are very likely fake copies.
Our spark plugs have 150 000 km, still going strong. At what interval do you change them? Thanx
Tintoycar around 80-85k miles 👍🏻
How many miles do you recommend changing these, and is there anything else they should be changed with?
Jordan Lucky nope just the plugs and I believe Honda do stat a mileage might be around 85000 miles
A;right, cheers
yeah the plugs are rated around 75k they can go over 100k ez though i have heard.
Hi, have you done the valve clearances? Thanks.
No sorry never got round to it

Cracked manifold?
@@Cjrelectrical Been checked also. It only happens if the car is not moving

Yeah sold the car loved it. Now have new CRV. Have you looked for leaking injectors?
@@Cjrelectrical Reply. I have no leaks, but I have a feeling it might be glow plugs. They have never been change
I have a 2009 1.4 ivtec and the engine looks completely different.
well because it's a completely different engine. you have 8 plugs not just 4. the ideea is the same, just you to do it a couple more times.
What's the price for Spark plugs
£18 per plug for these ngk laser iridiums, from eurocarparts. I got them for £45 for four from ebay, just need to look around.
The civic has 8 spark plugs not 4, why only change 4 not 8?
No it has 4 because it's 4 cylinder
@@Misbah007 no, the 1.4 idsi has 8 spark plugs.
