  • This is my reaction to an insanely fast biker on a Yamaha R6 chasing down a McLaren P1 and a Seat Leon Cupra at the Nurburgring.
The rider goes by Murtanio and the driver goes by xthilox - both are on RUclips.

Got to love a 600. I certainly can't imagine ever getting that sort of speed (or balls on such a rough track), but as a 600 rider I can certainly appreciate just how involved they can be. A litre bike might have managed overtakes better, but I've learnt to love the limitations inherent in the weak low end and that constant shifting certainly makes for a sweet sounding lap here.

I got a chuckle out of you tilting your head while watching from the bike's camera. I also got a chuckle out of it because I was doing it too. LOL

It is not the size of the ship nor the motion of the ocean, but the skill of the skipper.
Fluidity of mind and density of balls.

I've had two R6s and loved them... But I no where near ride them to their limit.... Mine , definitely.
I always had a massive smile on those bikes.
Respect to both of those blokes😎😎

That place is no joke. This happened a few years ago, a couple with a 9-month-old child moved into a house my parents once owned, the guy was into motorbike racing and was a frequent visitor to the Nurburgring, sadly he never came home from his last visit there and he had no life insurance.

Brilliant..... I'm nearly 80 now and don't ride fast these days, in fact my bike is a bit of a geriatric too... a 1988 CBR600... the bike that started the super sport genre back in 1987...... The old girl will still top 230K, but these days I have more consideration for her old parts, just like my old parts... we are more brittle than we were in our youth!
That R6 is an amazing achievement, although in average traffic and on a 500km day, I think my old CBR would be more comfy.
I have a friend who lives exactly 250kms from me and I sometimes visit her for the day on the bike,if the weather is OK.... Even at my age, the bike puts a smile on the dial.....piece of cake... :-)

THIS is were all the so-called 'expert' riders on public roads should be doing their thing. This were you see just how good you really are.

The p1 driver is a good friend of mine. He said the r6 really had no chance because on that day the biker had some serious gastritis issues. Ended up shitting himself by lap 3. All the boys had a good laugh at the pub in the evening!

Thats was a cool edit with the split screens, really shows the fluid motion of the bike. My helmet off to that rider too, many will never understand or experience a skill level that high in anything they do.

That guy is nuts. I flinched when the cars were over taking and he was following on the bike, was expecting one of the cars to of not seen him. Then later when he is on it, Jesus now that's using all the track! Not seen much that looks and feels that quick at the ring.

    How?
    Amazing performance.
    That rider was dialed in.
Made mee nervous while the cars were braking, and the biker caught up to them in a blink before he braked.
    Wheeeew!
