Nice write up video. Want to do a turbo upgrade but being a E99 my options are limited for drop in. This looks like it would be a great performance upgrade along with the Billet wheel.

What was the performance difference noticed most with the s300? EGT? Building boost quicker? Higher boost Pressure sooner? Any 0-60 numbers to compare, before and after? Stock injectors? Thanks for posting!
There wasn't any noticeable performance gain that I noticed, egts are a couple hundred degrees cooler when pulling. Heavy load, it spools quicker with a heavy load which is nice, I have 180/30 full force injectors and also the kc66 kit.
NFG Nebraska thanks for response. Do you have stock fuel system? Rolling coal? Sore for all the questions but I’m in Cali and deciding on injectors and if I need to do full turbo upgrade or rebuild with KC kit to limit the black smoke. Thanks in advance
@@jeremykeith3152 if I want to in my hot tune I can smoke out the car behind me when the turbo isnt spooled up but other than that it is a very clean set up and yes I have a stock fuel system and h pop
Gotcha. I have a bolt broken off in my .84 housing and was researching whether a 1.0 housing would be better since I have to remove the turbo anyway, and came across this turbine and your video. Thanks for your time man!
Still liking the s300 turbine? I will be pulling my turbo here shortly to drop my ww2 in, and figured i may as well rebuild it (02 stock turbo) at the same time. I am seriously considering this s300 wheel, hoping it further improves my towing abilities. My turbo seems to spool really good from stock, I just get surge when towing when I am leaning on it a bit or on a hill.

Yeah because the turbine wheel that came out of it is wake the same size as the stock 38 turbine

I sold that turbo and went to a stage 2 turbo from kc turbos. But worked great!
Did the new KC turbine effect the out the pipe whistle while idling any?

It's the stock .84 housing just upgraded the wheel

You bet! If you go with the 1.0 housing on smaller injectors it takes longer to spool up also.
I do still have stock injectors and a RiffRaff billet wheel, not the KC66 kit. Could be apples to oranges kinda
If you got just the wheel the 66kit is a lot different it has the upgraded 4 Inch inlet with "race porting" it flows amazing.

I just hauled a big manure spreader and it performed amazing, always had boost when I needed it and egts were under 1200 going up hill
