getting to install my new turbo. i cant wait to drive it! !! note! do not hook up the red boost line. The Wastegate is controlled Internally!! I just install the same turbo but i have stock injectors and mine will only do 22lbs of boost
Need boost fooler
PCM defuels at 23psi to prevent over boosting. Need boost fooler to hit higher psi
You can also rev it for 15 minutes

My 2001 7.3 only gets max 10psi of boost unloaded is that normal on a stock 7.3 or is that low boost?
A fully stock 7.3 should get 15-17 pounds of boost.

For some reason my adjuster plate seems like it sits up higher than the hub now idk what that’s about but the chain gets tighter and looser as I roll the wheel idk if it’s just cause my chains beat or if I fucked it lmk please 😂

I just dyno’d my 2000 7.3 and it made 428 horsepowers and 877 torques. Other than 180/30 FFD injectors and a 4” exhaust, the only other mod to the truck is a GTP38R turbo. With 275k miles on the truck, it’s still making great power. Thanks to Brian Jellish at Jelibuilt for his help with tuning and answering all my questions.

Based on my mods he was right on the mark horsepower wise with his estimate. Torque was 140 more than what he quoted. Under promises and over deliver.
My 2002 7.3 F250 is just shy of 300k miles and runs like the day it was made.

Hey bud how do u like that gtp38 turbo i got ? I am really movin towards getting on cuz yours has ball bearings in it right instead of my original with a bushing i believe, and why the hell would anybody think a bushing instead of ball bearings would be good?

I know this is a old video but your carburetor doesn’t look like a normal yfz450 carb. It looks much simpler which is better. Did you change it with a different one?
Bought it when it was new “trail model yfz” is what they called it since it wasn’t a r model fuel injected. But yes loved the simple carb when I had it
its a 2012 it has the Mikuni carb, all of the other non-efi yfz450s had an fcr carb
At 1:00 what allows it for that pressure release valve to do that the?? To much pressure the turbo is building up is that just the tune?

I’ve been running the 91 octane tune for about 2 years now and yeahh big difference from stock

I get 8-10mpg no matter how i drive! What kind of psi do you get when driving? I avg 5-7psi@70mph
I get around 2 to 5 psi around 70 depends if on a hill or not
@@brunssenboy yay on some hills i can build up to 12psi. If you dont mind me asking what mods does your truck have and what kind fuel mileage do you get? How far can you get on one tank of diesel!. I only ask because i get a max of 10.5mpg in my7.3 hwy intown 8 i just feel like this isn’t rigjt
@@bolt2510 I do mostly country driving lately going to work and back but I get around 10pm not sure on highway don’t drive it enough to know. But my build list is 180/30 injectors, kc turbos 63/73 turbo, oil crossover line, medium built transmission with a triple disc billet torque converter, bellowed up pipes, s and b intake, 4 inch exhaust, hydra tuner with Jelibuilt and 1023 tunes, ebpv deleted pedestal. And that’s about it
So I have a 2012 yfz and it's pretty much impossible to find a video on the carb for this quad. I had a question relating to the air filter box, did you run a lid on it or no lid? I've seen mixed emotions on it where the quad does not run well with no lid since it's vacuum-operated but some say it runs well.
I ran it with both the lid on and off and no difference in performance. Only difference I noticed was you can hear more intake noises. But the filter stays a lot cleaner with the lid on. Hope this helps
@@brunssenboy what jets did you run? I currently have a 165 main jet and a 50 pilot with both washer and clip moved to the bottom of the needle, altitude are 700-800 feet

@@davidmaj4259 I haven’t messed with fixing the intake plenums, but fixed the main leak from turbo to spider.
How much faster does is feel with the new turbo compared to stock, I’m also running jeli built tuning
It wasn't stock it was a 66/73 now it is a kc63/73

Did you have to do bellowed up pipes when you installed it?
Remove turbo and pedestal and cut the old bolts out from the manifold and replace. Not a super hard job
Does your truck have the ccv mod?
