This is probably how she processes her food for easy storage, allowing her to spend more time resting, defending her territory, finding mates, and raising young with very little energy investment in foraging in the long term as she can rely on her food stores.

@booniedox Yeah I did the Risen Valstrax with rando's and honestly I think I just got lucky; but we beat it pretty easily. Rise in mulyiplayer has been pretty easy from my experience.

I had that quest fail maybe three times in a row with randoms, and I eventually had enough and soloed it to finally get at least one clear. I've already made the armor (and I make it a general rule to solo every quest at least once before using Join Request), but I'm trying to make the layered version. It's hard to make it when quests are constantly failing. lol One of the quests that failed saw the host cart twice literally within 30 seconds.
Well, my thoughts on this monster and its gear: Pretty fun fight, though not super difficult. Learn the way the ice can form, and try to avoid the misty ice spots to avoid getting frostblight, which is basically paralysis you can Wiredash out of. The theme is absolute (chef's kiss) even though it wasn't changed at all from Iceborne. It also gets a ton of turf wars, mostly with Magnamalo and the elders. Velkhana's armor, however, is absolutely worth going for if you're at all a fan of Great Sword. The Frostcraft skill, available by equipping the chest, arms and waist makes the weapon absolutely bonkers - it relies on boosting your damage by keeping your weapon sheathed, topping out at +30% more damage with a full Frostcraft gauge. Her melee weapons all have good raw, nice natural purple sharpness, low Ice, either 4-0-0 or 4-1-0 decoration slots, a level 3 Rampage slot, and have the unique trait of making the Frostcraft gauge fill 20% faster. Of course, this makes Velkhana's Great Sword one of the best in the game. Also worth noting is that its HBG is an incredibly good Spread 3 gun, as it can shoot AND reload that ammo type while moving while still having a decent clip size on that ammo! It also has a trait aside from the Frostcraft synergy that the other two major Spread 3 HBGs (the Garangolm and Scorned Magnamalo ones) do not: it can use Wyvern Ammo! It also has no deviation, so you can also run it as a semi-support gun thanks to its access to all three levels of Sticky, and all the level 1 status ammos. It's my new go-to for a Shield HBG build.

There was a grind and satisfaction for them. But in rise or sunbreak new update comes and i kill monster in max 1 or 2 hours. Hope they bring big elder dragons like fatalis alatreon or others from old games.

I suspect the next update is the last and thats why I want something like Alatreon and Fatalis tier next. So go fight her in World if you want her to be a challenge. I don't understand the point of people complaining about the difficulty in this game. The more time I spend in the fandom, the more I'm convinced its "hardcore" playerbase just love having their balls smashed in.
I love how Velkhana is portrayed as elegant and refined while also being one of the most aggressive elders who freezes anything with a pulse on sight.

I think it said in the divebook that Velkhana freezes small monsters out of annoyance by them.
