Thanks for the vid. Ur one on the Aer Pro Sling alone helped me chose it as my 1st ever sling :). Funny thing is a couple years ago I thought I was ready for a sling and ordered the Venture. But sent it back. Haha.
You can fit a water bottle upright in the sides of the Bellroy. I had a Pacsafe sling I loved but one of the wires poked out so need to try another sling.
LOL. That Bellroy looks well worn. Something tells me the Pack Hacker team likes it better. I have the 9L version in Ranger Green and love it, but sometimes I find the space excesive for my EDC and most of the time I'm carrying half empty. However there have been a couple of times where that extra space came in very handy. I may go for the 6L version in a different color.
I love the air sling. The material is easy to keep clean. I love the strap that can be removed so that I can use it as a pouch. And the fact that they got rid of the Kooki magnet clasp that always came apart on my days sling.
I really prefer the Aer way of putting the zippers, first it’s as ambidextrous as Bellroy you can choose what side you want to open from, but the added advantage of keeping the zips close is that you can lock them together for security. Bellroy looks maybe more stylish (YMMV) but is more vulnerable to pickpockets that way
Great video per usual. Please review the Bellroy Sling Lite Mini. Would like to know if you can fit a standard mens wallet, phone, and a small point & shoot camera.
just what i was looking for, i have the bellroy 6l and think bellroy missed a trick by not having a rear pocket. tempted by the aer to try, nomrmally love aer products.
I went with the Belroy cause I like the dual buckle placement on the edges, also the strap is wide. The two sided opening and self compression was a draw too.
Both are very nice, I have the Aer (and other Aer slings as well) and I particularly got this one because the strap can be removed, so it can easily double as a pouch when traveling (i would really like that if Aer would apply this to the Go sling - a very nice one and I always have it with me in the go backpack but would be so much nicer if it had a removable strap (this is less an issue with Aer’s Other slings that would not really work as a pouch)
Own both. Bellroy is much better in my opinion. Lays nice, the wide zipper comes in so much handy…. And that front pocket is so helpful when in airport or a city. I don’t know how to explain it besides…. You can fish your hand into any of the pockets and without looking just kind of easily land to your items. Not sure that makes sense but… I can easily grab an item without looking or digging through my bag.
Can either of these bags be worn like a crossbody? My son has an old canvas crossbody bag with a vertical orientation and we are looking to replace it, but he prefers a looser crossbody carry versus a close to the body sling. Unfortunately it's been incredibly difficult to find a high-quality crossbody bag for men that can still fit a small water bottle but isn't too big....
I wanted to buy the Bellroy before the Aer pro line dropped but the Bellroy has the holes on the side and I couldn’t ever feel 100% secure about it which is a bummer.
i wish i knew that the ecopak edition of the venture sling has fewer pockets in main compartment than the standard edition., before i bought it lol. I'll take the trade off for the sale price, the more waterproof materials, and the fun and super comfy bungie strap.
The Bellroy venture buckles are only metal on one side and the plastic side is super fragile. Folks have encountered catastrophic failures and reported mixed responses to warranty claims.
The buckle is probably the biggest downside to the bag in my opinion. Because of the reports I don't unbuckle it and just throw it over as a work around.
I don't know about the Aer but I had the Bellroy sling and I hated it. It uses to much materials with the folds and dividers which makes it feel bulky even when empty. The collapsing mechanism doesn't help either especially when you're carrying light items, and since its folds add bulk, it defeats the purpose of making the bag smaller when not full. I also didn't like that they placed the main zipper closer to the body. This makes it more difficult to browse inside the bag while you're wearing it since the collapsing mechanism pushes back towards your body, which squishes your stuff inside while you browse.
Love these side by side comparisons
Thanks for watching! 😃

Agreed, the aer’s strap is too thin for the size of the bag.
I purchased the Bellroy after researching and talking to the lovely PH Pro members
It's great to hear from folks who own the thing you're looking at! 😃 See you in Pro!

What size water bottle?

Will my ipad pro 11” fit the aer pro sling?

How comes? - I'm trying to decide between the two

Would be nice if you guys could pack them out with typical edc items like a thin jacket and a water bottle just to see what they can fit

Holes? what holes?
@@DigiDriftZone 4:56 , its the gusseting, allows for expandable volume but may be a security risk for some
I have both, I couldn't decide. 😂 I do think that I like the Aer a little better though.

Have you guys seen the newest Greenroom136 stuff?

Can you guys do a Chrome Kadet (standard size) vs Bellroy Venture 9L comparison sometime?🙏
Thanks for the suggestion! I’ll pass it along.

bellroy looks better, Aer does more.
