It has the same number of ports, but charges faster and has higher capacity. You could fit 2 of them in the same space as your 6,000mAh unit at less weight and bulk.

This is a really interesting setup... I have an ipad pro which might be the primary reason i can't get things this compact. Makes me wonder how I'd do with an iPad mini... maybe fine for most trips, but not as ideal for photo editing on-the-go? Anyways, I think if you like that aurora a2, you should really give the a8 and a28 a try. When I found myself walking on the side of a poorly lit road, I attached the a8 to my bag in a flashing red mode to keep myself visible, and used the a28 to light the way ahead. Both of them clip on to a hat to use them like a headlamp and the side white lights + magnetic clips great for ambient light in dark places. Very functional lights!

How is your experience going through airport check with having multitool like victorinox in the bag? Very similar to my daily carry! ❤ For keyboard I went with Logitech Keys-to-Go - it’s soft, slim, and the same size as the Mini. I add a Sea to Summit nano shopping bag in the end pouch, an S-biner and Heroclip (one either end on the outside), some mints, a Sharpie, and the Apple Watch 15cm cable. Optional addons are a Memobottle Slim, or a Sea to Summit umbrella. The inner liner tag in the Bellroy also doubles as a pouch for an AirTag. Have taken this kit domestic and international, no issues. Jetsetter always gets a raised eyebrow but has passed so far. Gerber Shard is another option I tried but it never made it past security in AU. Hope the trip goes well!
@@MarcusCreates I recommend any Memobottle if water is important to you and so is organisation. Because it's flat, they slide great into a sling and give support/protection/structure to the iPad Mini. I prefer the Slim because the Venture can accommodate the length/height and the bottle feels more traditional in style. I use it daily, but I'm a camel who can never have enough water so YMMV!
Great that you are bringing up this keyboard, since I am currently looking for a Sling that will fit my Logitech Keys-To-Go! May I ask you which sling you use? I'm currently trying to decide between the Bellroy Venture Sling 6l and 9l version for my Boox Tab Mini C + Logitech Keys-To-Go Keyboard + EDC-Stuff. I would greatly appreciate any input regarding the fit of the keyboard in your sling! Can you fit it in with the "Tablet-Holder" attached? Thanks in advance!
@@MKFuro I’ve used both the 6L and the 9L, it fits in both! 6L is a bit tight to zip up but it definitely fits. I use it with iPad Mini 6th Gen with a standard Apple cover. Edit: no tablet holder, I let it sit free and flat.
Bummer. You spotted the mistake. 😊. After I shot the video I looked over to my right and had forgotten my 6 inch Apple Watch usb c puck. I bring it with me everywhere. It plugs into the usb c on the MIISSO charger. Well spotted.
Thank you for your time doing this video, it was quite intresting. Bu what does EU airport security says about the Victorinox Jetsetter, i ask because 2018 on Arlanda Stockholm i got a Leatherman Style PS confisqated, because the file could be taken for a blade. I said it was TSA approved, the answer i got was we are in EU now.
I’ve been successful traveling through Dublin Airport with the Jetsetter. It was probably the most scrutiny I faced in getting it through though. Honestly it’s down to how well trained the security agent is, if they’re having a bad day or not etc. It’s easier for them to just say ‘no’ out of an abundance of caution.
Pretty much any sharp object is not allowed in the EU. Have to unload a mini screw driver and my Victorynox every time I fly… it sucks but I guess it makes everyone much…”safer”….or something
I personally do not know anyone who bring a multitool when they travel? Why do i see so many western RUclipsr who must have their tool/blade? May I asked how thay have help in your travel?
Mostly for clipping nails, cutting tags, opening things. I think the thing here is, when you’re going away for several days but only bringing hand luggage, what do you do?
@@MarcusCreates I guess I just usually tear through my snack packaging or use a key to puncture it. A multi tool is definitely better yet I don't want tomrisk losing it to the security.
Hi Marcus! New subscriber here, just wanna say that your videos are really helpful for my upcoming trips. Amazing quality channel ! Keep up the good work :) Just ordered the Bellroy bag as well!
1. The Nitcore NB 10k powerbank. So lightweight, thin footprint, gets it done. 2. Anker GaN 67-140w charging station. Gets me into plugs in tight small spaces. 2a. If short vacation trip, just the Samsung 15w charger duo--fast charges phone, watch 6, Buds2Pro with one flat devices. The 25w power adapter/usb-c cable are bonus when I want a direct plug or a cable. 3. The Microsoft universal foldable keyboard is my go to. It's waterproof, pairs to Apple, android and pc, pairs to two devices, and has an extremely small footprint. 4. Quarles magsafe air vent mount. (Not all Rental cars have android/Apple Auto and a video display) 5. InCharge X 6-in-1 cable has saved me many-a-times. Such a small lightweight option. 6. (a & b) Hand sanitizer and mini compressed towels. 7. Trident chewing gum for the flight The Osprey Ultralight 1L waist pack fits all that and much, much more. Then packs down to nothing if not needed. Weighs 2.88 ounces.
love your travel setup! I am trying a brand called alpaka? I use al elements tech case max? Got pink limited color, added teal zipper pulls and a Miami Vice keychain bottle opener. I just got a nitecore tiki? its small like your light, but got it at tractor supply black friday sale for $5! Couldnt beat it. I have a 2 port folding prong anker charger like the one youre talking about, it was expensive iirc, my daughter got it for me to be able to charge my macbook (which I do not use, my ipad mini6 does everything I need...), my ipad, my folding keyboard with mouse pad, a short and long quick charge cables, I keep eye drops, hand wipes, hand non alcoholic hand sanitizer, beats gym bt earbud things from costco, I carry a dark angel medical kit, an extra tourny, a small anker battery for phone and light refill. Have a 2500L coast usbc full hand sized light in bag, sometimes I dont bring it if the keychain light and headlamp are all I need. My headlamp is a small coast light, rechargeable, has red, blk, and standard light. Toothpicks. granola bar. jerky. sunglasses. sunblock. thin utl gloves that double for warmth. usually I wont bring multi tools or anything with me. depending on where I am going and what I am doing, I also do foodie stuff, so sometimes I'll carry dining set on me, ive used those in defensive situations. Same when I have traveled for automotive related activities, I carried a screw driver, utl blade, and etc. Ive defended against being robbed, assaulted, etc. I also usually acquire a multitool when I am in country somewhere. When I leave if it was cheap, I just give stuff away. But if it was something nicer, like when I was visiting a buddy who was SAS, he gave me a special gerber tool with topography lasering besides deep engraving for their chicken insignia haha. Your videos help me find all sorts of neat things, I am really glad I found your page!
Thanks for the video, I just bought my friend’s LCD since he is upgrading to the OLED. Definitely seems nice, will have to see how much I end up using it. One thing though, a nominal increase is not noticeable and vice versa; I was a little unsure what was being expressed about the battery/boot times at first.
Would love to see a personal sized one bag travel load out with a Nomad Lane Bento Bag, PAKT 25L travel duffle, or the Samantha Brown Essential Carry-All bag. I can pack for 2 weeks in those, or with access to a laundry facility...indefinitely.
the Ipad mini is an awesome product, I really hope that when they update it they will keep the same size but make ik more "pro" (best chipset, promotion display,...)
Nice kit. I’d suggest a fisher space pen instead of that Olight. Fisher space pen bullet in particular. In matte black or brass. It’s got a classier look than that Olight, just as small when capped and it posts into a full size pen. It’s also pressurized.
You should try getting a Samsung fold phone. You can leave the iPad mini at home. It's a phone/tablet. Can use a stylus on it as well. Plus it's not an Apple which is awesome.
Marcus, thank you! I appreciate how you manage to review and show the sling while at the same time sharing your light travel setup. Great stuff and food for thought.
I just checked. I have an A7C II and it won’t fit with the 28-70mm kit lens and an iPad mini. I also have the Bellroy 9L and it’s just about fits both in that.
@@MarcusCreates Thank you for checking. So when you want to bring your iPad Mini and Camera, what bag do you use? - or is that something you don't usually bring together? :)
@@DigiDriftZone oh man. Now you’re opening a whole can of worms. I have various options. Maybe I’ll cover in a video in a couple of weeks. Bottom line it depends. Day trip I use a sling. Few days away I use a backpack. Favorites are Peak Design, Bellroy, Tom Bihn and Victorinox.
@@MarcusCreates The niche I'm trying to fill is we have airlines here in the UK that have BRUTAL bag limits. So I have a specialised shitty bag to maximise for space allowance - but it's not a good day bag. I want a sling to use at the destination that is small enough for the airline not to complain if I wear it on the front, but large enough to fit an iPad Mini and my ZV-E1 (A7C II sized) with a compact lens (like the Samyang 18mm f/2.8). I bought the Aer Day Sling 3 and it almost fits this, but just too small by like 1cm. I was hoping the Bellroy 9L would do but maybe not, also lack of a tablet compartment is not great. Now I'm looking at maybe the Aer Pro Sling, but there's no front pocket which is not great :( - any thoughts heh?
Great list. I wish Victorinox sold a version of the Manager without a blade so we could get the pen and the file. Or just add the file to the Jetsetter!
I found a fantastic RUclipsr with a channel called Fit to Survive that creates all these custom Victorinox mods for people. Really quality work too. Check his channel out. I’m tempted to give it a go myself. ruclips.net/video/NGIQuttJ37k/видео.htmlsi=KGr4K3Y4cVLVkGGy @fittosurvive
Another great vid Marcus! Lots of useful yet practical gear when on the road. And you're looking a lot leaner and more fit especially compared to that older inserted clip when you ask to subscribe
Thanks for the positivity Josh and appreciate you calling out the hard work I’ve been putting in at the gym. Having a second kiddo and Covid work from home was killing me. So doubled down on health and exercise this year. Down 40 lbs fat so far. 💪🏼
Very timely. I just returned from a trip & I like to analyze what went right/wrong. It’s definitely a compromise game but that is part of the fun. I like to carry the Logitech keyboard which is also splash proof.
Leading up to a trip, I make a checklist of what I want to bring. I use a free app called drafts and check/add to it as I think of things. What’s great is you can uncheck everything when you get there and re-check as you pack to make sure you didn’t forget anything, but I start with my old packing lists from previous trips for the next trip and it has helped me a ton!
Nicer ideas however i need to stream from weher ei go, so i need obs and my macbook air m1 for that. Also i use a cheap amazon hard case to transport all my filming gear
That’s fair. If you need specific software 100% get it. And a lot of the time I have to bring my M1 Mac with me to get more serious work done. Or a camera if I’m going to shoot a video. And a mic if I’m doing a podcast. So I get it. But I try to bring as little as possible on any one trip.
@@MarcusCreates I go to model railroad exhibitions, where i have to take tools, camera equipment, and the models.so travel light sadly is never a thing for me...especially since its usually a 5 day trip so my clothes bag is full.. I usually cant get my drone and DJI had problems inside so i try to just do it by hand, timelapse, cabview of the event, plus live streaming online. i try to minimise it as much as possible, but it's just so hard. managed to get it to 2 backpacks last trip, 1 for personal and one for tech stuff, and a bag in the back of the car we spread across how we could along with the train modules. Here is a movie i made last year, this years is still into works. ruclips.net/video/ue9qinsAFV0/видео.htmlsi=JMmYL-49Nb6da73v

Wow. That’s not been my experience. Where do you live? In the US they’ll take even the Victorinox Jetsetter off you sometimes even though it is a TSA approved bladeless SAK
@@MarcusCreates I live in Europe and there are no problems when flying with the classic. Also flights to the Los Angeles or Austin went smooth. Maybe i was lucky? :)
Anyone watching this, I suggest you get the 9L version. All your stuff fits better and isn't as squished. I got the green 6L, and while I love the colour, the 9L feels better in every way. I think the 6L is fine if all you bring with you is a phone, keys, power bank, and a few other small items. The 9L is if you might wanna carry around things like a small camera, water bottle, or umbrella.
Hello Marcus, very nice video. I have two questions. Because of your positive comment I bought the olight baton 4 premium edition, I can use it as flashlight and also as charger for my phone or headphones, would you use this instead of your flashlight and charger? And I normally wear full ANC headphones when in a plane (Bose), they will not fit in this bag, maybe using a small carabiner but I think it will be complicated. Any thoughts?
I have a similar carry (same sling and ipad mini) and I have to say, the folding keyboard is brilliant! You might be interested in Sharge Flow. It's a tiny 10k mAh powerbank that fits perfectly inside the side pouches of the sling
Regarding the victorinox. So i am travelling frequently with the small victorinox with a blade and had never problems with it on flights in the eu, as blades up to 6cm are TSA approved!
Marcus, one of my favorite videos of yours. So practical and very useful. I am able to adapt my own personal carries with this and you've also give n me some great add on ideas. Thank you as always. :)
I love your setup very much! :-) I have learned a lot of cool stuff from you. I do have many bags that I carry and I think that I should downsize them sometime to something that makes more sense but I am continuously drawn to having to take all of them.
I recently started travelling 11 inch M1 iPad Pro only, leaving my old MacBook pro at home. My carry on is almost 2kgs lighter and love the IPADOS 17.1 external display support 😊. Really enjoyed the video Marcus, keep up the great work! 👍🙏
Very nice! My only problem with the Mac mini is it doesn’t run Final Cut Pro so I can’t edit videos on it. FCP only works on M1 chips. So I’m tempted to either buy a new 11” M1 iPad or wait for the mini to get the M1 upgrade. Your setup sounds awesome. 😎
@@MarcusCreates Does the 11" iPad fit in the Venture Sling 6L? I agree the mini is great, I used to use it, but I'm using 11" now and would love that to fit. Thanks for the thoughtful video, very helpful
@@john.heinlein Late response but no, it doesn’t fit. I have the 9L version and it *barely* fits an 11” (diagonally across the whole main pocket, zipper is tight to close).
Just wondering if you've ever thought of something like Remarkable as an option for note taking and thoughts/ideas? I see you use a compact notebook. Alternatively is there any way to use an Apple pencil to write notes in OneNote or other app on an iPad Mini.
It’s the one drawback. It has micro usb to charge it. But I get 20+ hours of use out of a charge so you don’t need to bring a cable on the trip. But would be perfect if it was usb c

Whahey! Gwan Marcus
Thanks Murray!!
Hi Marcus, great video, but how do you charge your Apple Watch ? Do you only wear the Rolex on travel ?
My jetsetter was taken from me by TSA at the ATL airport. :(
Booo 👎🏻
I really like your Chanel. Just got mi iPad mini 6 and love it. I am putting together all of my minimalist etc for traveling.
Game changer. Let me know if you discover anything fun. 🤩
hello Marcus, are you still happy with the Arteck? after 6 mos of using? thank you :)
It’s fine. Just fine. Not great.
Thank you for taking the time to reply. You save us a lot of time with your reviews.
It seems you would like anker nano power bank :)
Will have a look
Can this bag protect the 3C products inside the bag when it rains while riding a motorcycle? Because there are gaps on both sides of him...😢
Yeah there are gaps. I wouldn’t trust it in heavy rain.
@@MarcusCreates Thanks for sharing, but I still buy Bellroy, the appearance is really good!
Nice video, Marcus. Shame you casually dropped in vaccine cards halfway through. Like it was normal. It was terrible that they made people do that.
Such a polarizing time we’re in. Each to their own. Hope you enjoyed the video nonetheless and thanks for watching. 🙏
I clicked on the thumbnail 100% expecting a Maurice Moves video. 😂
Anyways. Great video!
What a compliment. The man’s a legend. Been watching @mauricemoves for years.
What do you carry to clean your glasses?
(Not all Rental cars have android/Apple Auto and a video display)
5. InCharge X 6-in-1 cable has saved me many-a-times. Such a small lightweight option.
6. (a & b) Hand sanitizer and mini compressed towels.
7. Trident chewing gum for the flight
The Osprey Ultralight 1L waist pack fits all that and much, much more. Then packs down to nothing if not needed. Weighs 2.88 ounces.
You know what you like. Thanks for sharing. Haven’t tried out the MS foldable keyboard but it’s on my list.
love your travel setup!
Sounds like you’ve got your travel EDC locked in. Thanks for watching and for the support. 👍🏻
Hope you enjoy it!
tbh your edc is cool. But seems like a lot of work in lue of just having a macbook air and a mobile phone.
Fair
Hey Marcus, love your videos. I was wondering where I could get the bracelet you wear on your right wrist. Thanks in advance
Hey buddy. Thanks for watching. Here you go. mene.com/bracelets/platinum/narrow-verona-cuff-platinum
Would love to see a personal sized one bag travel load out with a Nomad Lane Bento Bag, PAKT 25L travel duffle, or the Samantha Brown Essential Carry-All bag.
I can pack for 2 weeks in those, or with access to a laundry facility...indefinitely.
Would love if they sent me one. Dear Nomad…
Marcus, leave the Swiss Army knife home if you’re flying to or in the US.
Good advice, but I need a little scissors with me 😊
the Ipad mini is an awesome product, I really hope that when they update it they will keep the same size but make ik more "pro" (best chipset, promotion display,...)
100%. Please Apple. iPad mini pro.
Nice kit. I’d suggest a fisher space pen instead of that Olight. Fisher space pen bullet in particular. In matte black or brass. It’s got a classier look than that Olight, just as small when capped and it posts into a full size pen. It’s also pressurized.
I love the Satechi Slim X1 keyboard which is a super good keyboard that connects to three devices. I can do anything on the road.
Nice!!! Have you had it for long?
Guinness?? How can I take this seriously without a Guinness packed?? 😂😂🙃
Hahaha. Just off camera.
Great video! Ir Will be great to see an specific video about You first aid kit. I'm very interesting about this content because i'm doing one
Ok cool. It’s not very exciting. Maybe I’ll make my first RUclips short about it. Watch this space. 😊
Glad it was helpful!
Uuhh. Remove the Sandisk SSD! DANGER OF DATALOSS!
So I hear. I’ve never had a problem but appreciate the heads up. 👍🏻
btw, bought the royvivon aurora and love it. it lights up the entire yard, thank you for this.
Welcome. Glad you like it Roberta
I got a little confused at first hearing the familiar Irish accent and seeing an American charger on the desk at the same time.
Ha. Ive been in the US now for 8 years so glad I still have a recognizable accent.
this one seems better than the Tomtoc of 4L... the bellboy has more though onto detail no doubt, but for the 35$ I paid for the Tomtoc I am very happy
Will this fit the iPad Mini alongside a small mirrorless like an A7C with a 20mm lens?
@@DigiDriftZone try the 9L Belroy and return it if it doesn’t fit. It’s a great sling.
Hi mate! Do you know of a good tool similar to the wave that hasn’t got a knife blade?
Hey buddy. www.leatherman.com/knifeless-rebar-832299.html?gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQiA35urBhDCARIsAOU7Qwk-klwcfmS2wlCNkD6GNrOd4dHJYhjdGI2sgFearNLsY8XrCmsveUEaAikJEALw_wcB
A great informative podcast .The products which are used are 1st class ,and designed to perfection . I could listen to Marcus for hours.🤙🤙
Glad you enjoyed it!
I really like the keyboard paired with the right bluetooth device it would be a very useful tool.
I’m super happy with it…for now. Always on the prowl for something better. 😂
I love that you bring a medical kit. Most people just bring tons of tech which is stupid at the end of the day.
A mini personalized medic kit is probably the most used item in this whole video 😂
Nice vid! What kind of Apple Watch band is that? 🤔
It’s called the Trail Loop.
Very timely. I just returned from a trip & I like to analyze what went right/wrong. It’s definitely a compromise game but that is part of the fun. I like to carry the Logitech keyboard which is also splash proof.
Smart move, especially if you’re traveling with the kiddos. 💦🌊
Love this idea. I almost always make a packing list in notes on my iPhone that I share with my wife. Thanks for the heads up.
Great video Marcus, taking much away for my own travels from your vid.
Great. Safe travels and have fun!!!

Bit of a shock at 5 minutes. You're half the man you used to be!
Boom. Thanks for noticing buddy. I’ve been hitting the gym and dropped 40lbs. 💪🏼
$500 mini flashlight?!
🤔
Great Video Marcus. I’m curious what is the strap you have on your left bicep?
It’s a Whoop 4.0 fitness tracker. Would recommend.
Great. Thank you. I’ll check it out.
Hey Marcus! Great video. Loved your bracelet! May I know where you got that? 😅
Hey buddy. I actually bought it 20 years ago and I don’t think you can get them any more. I’m sorry. The closest I’ve seen is this one mene.com/bracelets/platinum/narrow-verona-cuff-platinum?sku=MCP17.03C&gclid=CjwKCAiAmsurBhBvEiwA6e-WPGsWsb-fnV8PEm7XlcKHJPLPnwbrKrPCXUEbu5ItkTvlrKqDKhMBnxoCl_8QAvD_BwE
Thank you for finding that for me! Cheers ✌️
A man purse is the thing we all need but most dont have😅😂
Everyone should have one. Epic
What´s about a charging adopter for european power outlet?
Great Video. Regarding the Victorinox: I always cary the Victorinox Classic with me. Blade is so short that it is also no problem in carry on luggage
@@pothast I think you were. 😊
How many go is your mini?
256gb
THIS HAS BEEN DONE TO THE BALLS AND IS PLAYED OUT ....YEARS AGO ....typical Irish always 4 century's behind ...
I have a similar carry (same sling and ipad mini) and I have to say, the folding keyboard is brilliant!
You might be interested in Sharge Flow. It's a tiny 10k mAh powerbank that fits perfectly inside the side pouches of the sling
That’s awesome. I have the same sling so it’s always nice to see how others utilize it (much neater than me)
I love it!
Hey 👋 great video 👍🏻 I’m from Sinaloa Mexico
Maybe you could change the victorinox nife for a mini champ victorinox it’s model has a pen 🖊️ inside
Regarding the victorinox. So i am travelling frequently with the small victorinox with a blade and had never problems with it on flights in the eu, as blades up to 6cm are TSA approved!
Really enjoy your videos. Keep up the great work 👍🏼
Thanks, will do!
Marcus, one of my favorite videos of yours. So practical and very useful. I am able to adapt my own personal carries with this and you've also give n me some great add on ideas. Thank you as always. :)
Thanks as always for the positive feedback. Glad you found it useful and that you can adapt your own setup. Let me know how it goes ☺️
I love your setup very much! :-) I have learned a lot of cool stuff from you. I do have many bags that I carry and I think that I should downsize them sometime to something that makes more sense but I am continuously drawn to having to take all of them.
Hello from Qatar. I am new here and I subscribed. I like your video.
I have the 9L version and it *barely* fits an 11” (diagonally across the whole main pocket, zipper is tight to close).
sure they let you bring a knife on a plane buddy
Good presentation and a well thought out kit. Thank you.
Thanks Alan ☺️👍🏻
Just wondering if you've ever thought of something like Remarkable as an option for note taking and thoughts/ideas? I see you use a compact notebook. Alternatively is there any way to use an Apple pencil to write notes in OneNote or other app on an iPad Mini.
Is the reMarkable 2 worth it - why i'm returning it?

@@MarcusCreates Thanks, very useful. Going to give Rocketbook a try. A mixture of written and e-storage.
does the Arteck keyboard have usb-c?
It’s the one drawback. It has micro usb to charge it. But I get 20+ hours of use out of a charge so you don’t need to bring a cable on the trip. But would be perfect if it was usb c
Liked & Sub’d. great content
Thank you!
What colour bellroy is your sling?
I’ve got a Black 6L and Brown 9L
