That's a great video, I've been searching for. Thanks a lot. But while checking the "Data Display" and the "Engagement" tab, I can't find the option called "Conversions" Also, after creating the event, the event is not getting listed under the tab called "Events", under our account. What could be the issue?
Thank you for the tutorial. I have a question; what if we have multiple thank you pages? lets say I have 4 different freebee form pages and 4 thank you pages and I want to track each freebee form thank you pages as conversion. Do I need create 4 different "generate_lead" event? I wish we could give names those events tho. Thanks in advance 🤙🤙
If you want to track them separately you need to create 4 different events and use equals and specify exact URLs. If you want to club those use can use contains in parameter conditions.
My conversions are not shown under event nor the report page after I have added them to Conversion Events? What have I done wrong, because I followed every step.
Will something bad happen if I name the event generate_lead_newsletter or generate_lead_pdfguide ? I want to be able to see which is which but if Google is recommending specific event names it must be for reason?
FYI: In GA4, goals are replaced by key events. "This means you don't set up goals in the traditional sense. Instead, you identify events that are crucial to your business's success and mark them as key events."
It depends on the type of conversion you’re wanting to track. As I mention in the video, if you want to report of conversion for a page being viewed (or another event already in GA4), then you can use the method I cover. Otherwise, you can use GTM and I’ve included a link to my tutorial covering click, button, and form tracking in the description.
@@LovesData I followed your video on tracking conversions in GTM for thank you pages but should I do it this way instead? I'm still not so sure what the difference is. Just tracking a newsletter sign up page!
Hello. What if your "thankYou" page is a actually a pop-up? The URL doesn't change. I have 2 pop-ups, one for Thank You, one for Error. What can I do? Thank you in advance
Conversions are now Key Events. Watch the new tutorial at ruclips.net/video/XxCUVqhovEA/видео.html
I got a LOT of value out of this vid. The instructions are clear and well paced, and easy to follow. Thanks a million Loves Data!!
This has been a huge help! Thank you for putting in the time to create this tutorial.
Thank you so much - this explained the tracking so simply - I had been looking at a much more complicated way to do this.
Hi I have a problem when creating new events. For some reason, when creating and saving, it does not appear when refreshing page. Any help please?
I have the same problem and when i get to test the thank you page the conversion counts do not move from 0.

You would see after conversion would happen on webpage. Or you can manually add in analytics shown in the video

Do you know how to use google analytics or google tag manager as a CPA network to track campaigns from propeller ads?
My conversions are not shown under event nor the report page after I have added them to Conversion Events? What have I done wrong, because I followed every step.

Lifecycle is no longer in GA4?
Thank you! Now I know how to track

Very informative.
Can you please tell me why my google analytics would not show Data Display/Events/ but its not showing CONVERSIONS?
Conversion is now changed to key events
So do you not use Google tag manager for event / conversion tracking anymore?

Under Data Display, I do not have Conversions for some reason....
Any ideas why?

Thank you.
not working unfortunately; not surprised though. Pretty much any Google UX and product experience outside of search is a shitshow.
Can you provide some more details? What exactly isn’t working?
yeah they change everything each month it seems like, its a fking maze
AI saying GOALS and Conversion are not same.
New Analytics drives me CRAZY with RAGE. This is infuriatingly awkward. The transition from old Analytics was a disaster.
