    About this video:
    In this video Yaro from Aviator Inspirations talks about Pilot Personality Traits and the qualities of a good pilot. Pilot traits and personality characteristics of a pilot are important to understand. Certain personality traits of a pilot or character of a pilot cannot be learned, while some strengths of a pilot and features of a pilot can be developed. The right pilot attitude is important in knowing what makes a successful pilot. Taking a pilot personality quiz or pilot personality test can be handy. This video covers the pilot personality, qualities of a good pilot, traits of a successful pilot, and traits you need to be a pilot.

    I'd like to thank you for your honesty. Sugar-coating it, and saying just about anyone can become a pilot could get you more likes on the video, as it would be music to people's ears, but you chose to tell the truth. I really appreciate it, and respect you even more. 👍

      @@AviatorInspirations Becoming a pilot has been one of my dreams, but one thing led to another - I work in a different profession, and I recently have started looking into the possibility of being able to fly a small aircraft, like a biplane, in my free time. Anyways, I think the qualities of a good pilot that you mentioned in the video are great not only for the ones that are in a pursuit of becoming a professional pilot, but also the others that would like to excel at any other jobs. I also think it would be a huge help to your subscribers, myself included, if you could explain how you have trained yourself to be calm and also work efficiently in highly stressful situations. 😊 (English is not my first language, so excuse me for any errors in my writing.)

    Thank you for the great insights! I am a girl, based on my research, the airline is encouraging female to join. But pilot career is still dominated by male, do you think female has any disadvantage in this career? for example being discriminated, harder to become a captain etc...just curious, can pregnant pilot continue working? because radiation is higher up there

    • @AviatorInspirations
      @AviatorInspirations  4 года назад +1

      The industry is very much encouraging females to become pilots, but yes it’s still a male dominated profession & challenging road, with many male pilots looking down at women, but its changing. You have to be an extra strong person to potentially deal with these hardships as a woman, but larger companies and airlines are fully non-discriminatory. I forget how many weeks into pregnancy you can fly, but many female pilots make it work. You just have to figure out a plan with your partner for when you have to be away from home. There are even scholarships for women you can look into for becoming a pilot to encourage more to join.

      @@AviatorInspirations Thanks! Will definetely check out the scholarship program out there, it seems like they require some type of pilot training in the first place to show candidates' dedication. Yaro, would you be able to talk about the three ways to become pilots in Canada, through College/University, through flight school (iATPL or modular program) and through military, do graduates have different capability or employability through different streams? And what is the pros and cons for different streams?

    • @AviatorInspirations
      @AviatorInspirations  4 года назад +1

      I have videos covering most of those topics, except military, as I don’t recommend that path for the average person. Have a look through my channel, as I cover the most frequently asked questions

    • @summer920829
      @summer920829 4 года назад +1

      @@AviatorInspirations Will do. Is there a specific reason why you wouldn't recommend going through military, cuz someone highly recommend going to military, his reasons are they provide free and very good training (seems like aviation industry prefers candidates with military background), good benefits, and Canadian army is not as aggresive as American one...not sure if it is true though, will appreciate your opinion.

    • @AviatorInspirations
      @AviatorInspirations  4 года назад +1

      The reason is because very few candidates make it through training all the way to becoming a pilot. First, however, you have to become an officer and finish 4yrs of Kingston, then if you don’t get selected for pilot, you still have to serve out your duty to pay off the training. If you make it, Air Force pilots might fly 2000-2500hrs in their WHOLE career, so if you get out of the military with 800hrs, that’s not even enough to get hired by a regional airline, when you can build those same 800hrs in 1.5yrs vs 5yrs+ in the Air Force. To join just for the free training is not a valid reason, and you have to want to serve your country as the primary reason for joining.

      Not unless you get single day pairings. If you are doing 2-5 day pairing you are away usually every night until you get back to base at the end of your pairing. If you are a commuter, then you also have to commute home. Check out my commuting video👍🏻
