What’s your opinion on the wind up spring loaded starters, I like deleting or welding the compression releases in place, in makes for a steadier idle and I’ve had them come apart in the block before, this is fine on stock compression but on high compression it’s a problem, if the spring loaded starter can turn an 11 to 1 motor I can eat my cake and have it too
Honestly I have never messed with spring loaded starters but my opinion is water you like for your build and think is cool go with it. These things should be a reflection of your personality. Have a great day. Paul
What will i need to put 32/28 and dual 40lbs valve springs on a predator because the ones people are selling are expensive and i want to use the stock cc head
The amount of knowledge that goes into this is amazing! You are the man
I appreciate that!

I want to put a 330 lift and 280 duration cam on a predator 212 but I don't know if the duration is to much for it to run right
Its got to much duration. You need more compression ratio to run that cam. Hard to even get the 12:1 that a 260° cam requires.
I got a 356 cam 1.3 rockers and a shredder head that flows 120 but wet flowd alcohol 30mm carb 15.5 to one you think it will run close to 30 hp
Its 462 lift and i plan on turning 10k rpm 32 25 valve 212

Well you’ll need seats installed and the seats cut , also a good time to do bronze guides. Then you’ll need spring pockets cut.
Quick question paul i have a tillotson 225rs and i just bought a 308cam what head do you recommend stock bore 72mm stock crank 55mm got a 28mm carb
