Patton is my favorite vocalist of all time, he started out really high and nasally and within a couple years he got really low and more crooner-esque. FNM's "King For A Day..." is my current Patton release that I haven't stopped listening to for a couple weeks, but it changes. Patton is a true original and something that all rock vocalists should strive to be. Original and at the same time, accessible with his more mainstream projects. There will never be another Patton. I try as a vocalist, today even I tried to emulate his vocals on "Ugly In The Morning" and had a serious gag reflex reaction. Only imitating Patton could get that reaction.

This was great to listen to. I've enjoyed everything I've heard Patton perform in. I think almost anyone can find something they enjoy as he's covered so much musical ground. To me his biggest evolutionary step was hearing him on King for a Day (1995). Just the diversity, discipline and tone he got on that album was just a big step up from his previous material. You can hear it in Discovolante (1995) which was just pure insanity which left us asking 'why' but more importantly how?
