I love the way the colors “bleed” into the water or into each other. Like how they are free to go where they please. You can’t predict the outcome with them so each piece is unique! 🖌️🎨
Agree! Watercolor is one of those special mediums where you have to allow it to do its thing, and when you do, magic happens! Thanks for posting a comment! :)
I love all of the beautiful colors. It reminds me of when I was a child with a new big box of crayola crayons. I love to watch the magic that happens when you lay colors side by side and watch them mingle together. I love the granulating paints and the magic they create wherever you put them. I also love all of the things you mentioned! I love the challenge of learning each technique and trying to work through the difficulties each painting presents. Watercolor is such a fun and rewarding hobby!
I just got 2 new M Graham colors for fall painting, can’t wait to use them!! My #1 reason why I love watercolor is that it isn’t messy. No chemicals needed for clean up, no smell to deal with, no ‘forever paint’ on my clothes. #2: colors can be reworked (unlike acrylic) so I usually don’t have to worry about working too slow….. this also helps me to avoid wasting nice paint on my palette ! =)
Great comments! I have some M Graham paint tubes (the Quinacridone set) and they are very nice. They re-wet very well. What colors did you get from them?
@@morrisonwatercolors I got Quin Rust and Nickel Quin Gold, which I kinda regret getting because it looks identical to DS Quin Gold. But I’m really liking MG - I find it’s easier to rewet than DS - and would like to build up a collection.
@@R_H21 Good color choices! Both of those are part of the Quinacridone set I have from M Graham. I also have DS Quin Gold and agree that it is very similar. :)
@@morrisonwatercolors Do you know if quinacridone is a heavy metal (like cobalt) that is toxic? I don’t touch any of my paints but just wondering if Quin is one of those that I should be extra careful with.
@@R_H21 good question! I am actually not sure but I don’t think there is any toxicity warning on the set I have. Maybe there is more info available on their website. Thanks!
Morrison this video is so entertaining and fun!!! I agreed with every single thing you said… my least favourite one being maybe dry brush (not my forte) and my best one mixing colours…or maybe the washi tape thing? Or granulation??? Awesome video you really made me smile!!!! Have a great week
Thanks Elisabetta! You are right, it is really hard to choose one thing, there is just so much to love about watercolor! I love getting new colors and trying new supplies, something I left out of the video. Thanks for posting a comment! :)
So the larger one is a generic palette purchased from Michael’s Arts & Crafts. I checked to see if it has a brand name, but it just has “Watercolor Palette” imprinted on the outside. I added a ton of extra pans to it with Blu Tac. Thanks for checking out the video! :)
The main brush in this video is a Chinese calligraphy brush, which works very well for watercolors. I found it on Amazon. Thanks for watching the video! :)
This is a generic plastic watercolor palette from Michael’s. It comes with a clear plastic insert for additional mixing space, not depicted in the video. Thank you for watching. What do you love most about watercolor? :)
This video was fun to make. It was hard to pick just 10 things. What are your favorite things about watercolor? :)

Nice Video👍👍❤
My favorite thing about watercolor: Color can express the mood of the artist at that time easily 😁😁👍❤❤
So true! Watercolor can be very expressive! Thanks for posting, glad you liked the video! :)
Yay, our second video with over 1000 views! Thank you for all of the support! :)
