I’m bisexual and if been since I was little, I always loved God but since quarantine if been getting closer to God. I made the decision to live my life without sex because I just don’t wanna have sex with someone I don’t like and sin. I can’t change who I am and you know it. I love God and I hope he will make me straight but he made me bi for a reason. God made all of us, why would he make certain people straight and certain gay just to say “hey go be just like them, straight.” It wouldn’t been fair at all. God loves us and we love God. Homophobia in Christianity is big and for no reason, nobody talks about divorcing. Why do we alway hate something we don’t understand? Why? Ink Black Jesus is LITERALLY the most proven historical figures of all time. Anyone who says otherwise has ignored a chunk of history or is completely ignorant. go back and learn your history. Jesus is not only acknowledged in the Bible but also in other religions. Even so, there are eye witness accounts of Jesus outside of the Bible by famous philosophers and a big part of Roman history.

There are 6 million Christians alive today who are lgbt. Not one became heterosexual via Christ during the 40 years of ex-gay ministries. Prayer, Bible study, Christian counseling, therapy, deliverance, nothing changed anyone's sexual orientation. Every major, decades-old ex-gay ministry from the US to Australia closed.

It says to love our brothers and sisters and our parents and neighbours doesn’t mean we have to marry them. If God did than he will say in the Bible for our future generations but there is no strong proof of it.

@ I actually have a solution for this: Unitarian Universalism. It's my religion even though I guess I'm atheist. It's awesome and totally works if you want to be religious, but you don't like some of the stuff in the bible or the Torah or any other religion. It also works if you can't decide what religion you want to be. It works for anything and you can believe whatever you want as long as your beliefs follow the seven principles which, if you're a good person, should be a piece of cake.

I listened to man instead of God my whole life they always said homosexuality is not in the Bible or it’s man and child or it’s just love. I was bisexual for 18 years I’m 23 now and I always thought I was born this way until I started questioning if it was okay. It was always in the back of my mind when I was with the same gender and God showed me it wasn’t okay, the reason I like the same gender was because of sexual abuse from the same gender I was 6 and she was my teacher. That is what created me gay and perverted my mind. Jesus will not shame you he loves you all equally so much. He just wants to help you and save you turn to him before it’s too late when he comes back he won’t be merciful anymore. Jesus delivered me from homosexuality, video game addiction, depression, self harm, gay relationship, fear etc… he can to you too. It all boils down to a choice the individual has to make, it can be early on in the person's life (or even later on). It's not about "re-interpreting" it, it's about correcting the misinterpretation that it's about homoxesulaity. If this really was about that, then wouldn't it say "don't lie with the same secs"? Or even "men don't lie with men, women don't lie with women"? Read it carefully. Does it even say "men don't lie with men"? The fact that it says none of these proves that it's not about homoxesuality. Classifying people according to whether the like the "same" or "opposite" secs is a modern concept that did not exist in those days. In patriarchal society, women were considered inferior to men, so a man taking a woman's role was degrading. So you see, this prohibition is only against penetrative secs between two men, not all acts between two men and certainly not acts between two women. Even then, it was only taboo because women were considered inferior to men. It's pretty obvious that promoting this kind of attitude to secsuality today is reprehensible. Please don't do it.

I don't know how you can be ok with being gay and be a Christian. Read effing Romans for God's sake. Paul was on a mission to convince traditional Judaism in Rome to accept the teachings of Jesus, and so he rehashed some stuff from Leviticus and threw it into his letter to Romans so that they could relate to it. The new testament was basically a collection of writings designed to sell the teachings of Jesus to the powers that be at the time. It didn't really take hold or make any traction until a few hundred years later, and when it did, that is when Jesus the profit turned into Jesus the holy savior and the son of God, and the rest is history.

You can twist the words in the Bible to say what you want them to say, but if you study God’s word in its entirety it’s clear what the Bible says about homosexuality. It’s a dangerous practice to put words in God’s mouth, but the devil loves it when people twist God’s words.

They had nothing in common with the types of relationships these guys are on about. The Bible nowhere explicitly says "guys shouldn't sleep with guys or women with women." That's just a possible interpretation, and not a very good one because it ends up contradicting other parts of the Bible and what we have now worked out scientifically.

There’s many layers to this issue. I’m attracted to the same sex but am in TOTAL disagreement with this guy, and that’s not gonna change. HOWEVER, I’ve also been just like this guy before. Love is something all of us want to experience, and I think that many Christians have taken their view of homosexuality beyond a biblical standpoint to justify hate for so many years or to justify their own internal prejudice or disgust with this particular sin. This leads to people like me to feeling like there’s something disgusting and vile about us, and even if we aren’t pursuing guys, that the attraction in itself is disgusting and then we begin to actually believe it about ourselves. Many times this also causes us to feel shame at a young age to where we don’t seek help, and by the time we’re adults, it’s already been further perpetuated. This results in us feeling like a sick, unhealthy lonely person, leading us further into depression and destroying our self worth. This isn’t a feeling of just guilt or shame from doing something wrong, this begins to bleed into our very being, feeling like as long as we are the way we are, nothing we do in life will ever erase the perverts that we’ve been made to believe that we are. This results in gay people becoming desperate to try to unwire the deep rooted belief that being gay is somehow more sinful, vile, or disgusting than any other sin. I think if Christians would realize that sin is sin and not disown their kids for being gay or speak about gay people as if they’re non human, unnatural, and disgusting, at least we could all come to common ground and say we’re ALL vile creatures who have disobeyed God, not just gay people, and maybe gay people will be less forceful about trying to get Christians to accept and endorse their ways. Face it, some sins are harder to deal with than others. Imagine rehab, imagine a meth addict. Going to rehab and getting clean is a rare occurance. Now imagine trying to change what you’re attracted to. Many times this results in even more psychological damage. It is never right to change the word of God, but it is absolutely okay to wonder if some people are willful homosexuals out of rebellion and some are born different than God intended and need an unimaginable amount of help to ever overcome it. People need to at least listen to what homosexuals have to say and stop treating this as something that you can just stop doing, like lying or stealing. Because we all know your romantic desires are much stronger than an impulse to lie or steal or murder. Sin is sin, but God is rich in mercy.

Being gay is just like being straight, and gay people cannot mentally or physically change their sexuality. When Christ died for us all he then had the power to change us into new creatures and cast off sin from us. The bible does not condemn same sex "attraction" (being gay).. The sin lies in fornication or adultery (homosexual)... it is the same for the hetero community.. having sexual relations outside of marriage is a sin.. That is the distinction we need to be aware of.. Problem is that comes with extreme loneliness for the gay person because the church/bible say that marriage is only for 1 man and 1 woman.. I don't think a person change an attraction because it is a chemical thing. The first thing a person thinks when they meet/see someone new is "Yes", "NO" or "maybe"... For me, as a gay man, this leads to extreme loneliness and a feeling of hopelessness as a Christian. I stopped fornicating when i became a Christian and have remained celibate for over 7 years. I understand why marriage is important... And until i have a ring on my finger, i remain celibate. Homosexual acts seem to be what are condemned in scripture, not merely the proclivity or the orientation. In the context of the Bible, to be born gay (which certainly isn't a choice, no matter what some say) seems to be a unique calling to singleness and celebacy, which is tough but has its own rewards. It does break my heart that the church, supposed to be the ambassadors and hands and feet of Jesus have for so long rejected, hated, and refused to embrace homosexuals as if they chose to be that way. There seems to be a while demographic that need the love of God just as much as anyone else, but they've been told "no, not you. Change yourself first." Which is just so contrary to the Gospel.

@ I actually have a solution for this: Unitarian Universalism. It's my religion even though I guess I'm atheist. It's awesome and totally works if you want to be religious, but you don't like some of the stuff in the bible or the Torah or any other religion. It also works if you can't decide what religion you want to be. It works for anything and you can believe whatever you want as long as your beliefs follow the seven principles which, if you're a good person, should be a piece of cake.

I listened to man instead of God my whole life they always said homosexuality is not in the Bible or it’s man and child or it’s just love. I was bisexual for 18 years I’m 23 now and I always thought I was born this way until I started questioning if it was okay. It was always in the back of my mind when I was with the same gender and God showed me it wasn’t okay, the reason I like the same gender was because of sexual abuse from the same gender I was 6 and she was my teacher. In patriarchal society, women were considered inferior to men, so a man taking a woman's role was degrading.
So you see, this prohibition is only against penetrative secs between two men, not all acts between two men and certainly not acts between two women. I don't know how you can be ok with being gay and be a Christian. Read effing Romans for God's sake. Paul was on a mission to convince traditional Judaism in Rome to accept the teachings of Jesus, and so he rehashed some stuff from Leviticus and threw it into his letter to Romans so that they could relate to it. The new testament was basically a collection of writings designed to sell the teachings of Jesus to the

You can twist the words in the Bible to say what you want them to say, but if you study God’s word in its entirety it’s clear what the Bible says about homosexuality. It’s a dangerous practice to put words in God’s mouth, but the devil loves it when people twist God’s words.

There’s many layers to this issue. I’m attracted to the same sex but am in TOTAL disagreement with this guy, and that’s not gonna change. HOWEVER, I’ve also been just like this guy before. Love is something all of us want to experience, and I think that many Christians have taken their view of homosexuality beyond a biblical standpoint to justify hate for so many years or to justify their own internal prejudice or disgust with this particular sin. This leads to people like me to feeling like there’s something disgusting and vile about us, and even if we aren’t pursuing guys, that the attraction in itself is disgusting and then we begin to actually believe it about ourselves. Many times this also causes us to feel shame at a young age to where we don’t seek help, and by the time we’re adults, it’s already been further perpetuated. This results in us feeling like a sick, unhealthy lonely person, leading us further into depression and destroying our self worth. This isn’t a feeling of just guilt or shame from doing something wrong, this begins to bleed into our very being, feeling like as long as we are the way we are, nothing we do in life will ever erase the perverts that we’ve been made to believe that we are. This results in gay people becoming desperate to try to unwire the deep rooted belief that being gay is somehow more sinful, vile, or disgusting than any other sin. I think if Christians would realize that sin is sin and not disown their kids for being gay or speak about gay people as if they’re non human, unnatural, and disgusting, at least we could all come to common ground and say we’re ALL vile creatures who have disobeyed God, not just gay people, and maybe gay people will be less forceful about trying to get Christians to accept and endorse their ways. Face it, some sins are harder to deal with than others. Imagine rehab, imagine a meth addict. Going to rehab and getting clean is a rare occurance. Now imagine trying to change what you’re attracted to. Many times this results in even more psychological damage. It is never right to change the word of God, but it is absolutely okay to wonder if some people are willful homosexuals out of rebellion and some are born different than God intended and need an unimaginable amount of help to ever overcome it. People need to at least listen to what homosexuals have to say and stop treating this as something that you can just stop doing, like lying or stealing. That is the distinction we need to be aware of.. Problem is that comes with extreme loneliness for the gay person because the church/bible say that marriage is only for 1 man and 1 woman.. I don't think a person change an attraction because it is a chemical thing. The first thing a person thinks when they meet/see someone new is "Yes", "NO" or "maybe"... For me, as a gay man, this leads to extreme loneliness and a feeling of hopelessness as a Christian. I stopped fornicating when i became a Christian and have remained celibate for over 7 years. I understand why marriage is important... And until i have a ring on my finger, i remain celibate. If it is God's will for me to be married, He will have to perform a miracle and change my root attraction. I will never lie to a woman, and pretend to be attracted. So that only leaves one option for me, celibacy and loneliness.

The bible is clear in the old testament and New Testament-that 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ is a sin. It even details that its sin and wont enter heaven. Romans actually explains the activities these people are doing!

So the same would apply to gay men..... "Men did shameful things with each other..." that is a sinful behavior... That also applies to a man doing shameful things to a woman. You can be attracted without going further.
Let me ask, the first time you saw your wife (before you were married), were you attracted to her..? By your previous statement, you sinned by being attracted to her.. Attraction doesn't mean lust nor does it mean fornication. It is natural to be attracted. Same applied to gay men.. Just don't let your attraction become sin by lusting or acting on it.

Actually the Bible teaches us to Judge righteously. Jesus teaches how to judge in Matthew. If you’re going to judge someone righteously just don’t be a hypocrite, that is what Jesus taught. For example if I’m telling a homosexual that it’s a sin to be gay and I’m gay myself, that’s being a hypocrite. READ for yourself and don’t listen to everything you hear. Jesus says that only FEW will enter into the kingdom of Heaven, that means MANY will go to hell. Read the Word!!

Homosexual acts seem to be what are condemned in scripture, not merely the proclivity or the orientation. In the context of the Bible, to be born gay (which certainly isn't a choice, no matter what some say) seems to be a unique calling to singleness and celebacy, which is tough but has its own rewards. It does break my heart that the church, supposed to be the ambassadors and hands and feet of Jesus have for so long rejected, hated, and refused to embrace homosexuals as if they chose to be that way. There seems to be a while demographic that need the love of God just as much as anyone else, but they've been told "no, not you. Change yourself first."
Which is just so contrary to the Gospel.

My cousin she’s gay. I wouldn’t advise her to to listen to a book that’s been revised throughout the centuries by so many different cultures with so different many interpretations. Walking on eggshells throughout life trying to fit a standard in fear of going to hell is messed up. It’s a lose lose situation for someone who’s gay cuz lying is a sin, so if my cousin pretended to be something she’s not she’s committing a sin either way. Lying about who you are is prob the biggest lie to make. Love is love. We are all just people. you've hit the nail on the head. the gospel much of the church has been preaching is flawed. It says "God will forgive you if repent and trust in Jesus - so long as you also stop being gay". that has caused many people to lose their faith, since of course we know now they can't change their sexual orientation.
but these days they've changed it to "God will forgive you if repent and trust in Jesus - so long as you also stop having sex if you're gay". Well if you told everyone they have to stop having sex, our churches would be empty! It's hypocritical.

when people used to think that homoxesuality was a sin, it wasn't because they didn't have the Spirit of God. it was because at the time we didn't understand it - we thought it was a mental illness. Combined with the church's traditional insistence that non-reproductive secs was wrong, we just made a mistake.
but you may be right. i guess now that we know it's not a sin, people who arrogantly refuse to repent and continue victimizing innocent people probably aren't following the leading of the Spirit.
