Binging this episodes rn. I think you guys really nailed this one. I was raped in college when I was 18. It was hardly a month later that I started struggling with homosexuality. Because the love I felt for the girl I was seeing at the time felt so real- I didn't even think to corelate the sexual abuse to my new found sexuality. I am 30 years old now and have figured out that I am not gay...but still haven't been able to find comfort or safety or trust with a man since those early years of my life. I've always struggled with my religion and earlier perceived sexuality. I have recently been bringing some light back into my heart and reconnecting in my relationship with God and I am being flooded with this heavy desire for healing and forgiveness. Someone took the light of trust in men from my heart without my consent and I've been the one left carrying the darkness since. I'm finally ready to let it go and trust again. Thanks for what y'all do and bravery for being able to stand beside the Lord during a time that is so infested with hurt, confusion, and darkness.

I won't change anyone's mind on this, so am not going to try. I wish sometimes we could feel one another's hearts... actually experience the beingness of another person. I think we would have so much more empathy for others. Anyways, I just want to say that as a LGBT Christian, I hope good things happen to you all.
"Man with man" was though, and "abusers of themselves with mankind" was also. So yeah it was Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13 with Romans 1 showing this. That word was created to help others adapt to a change in language. Same way how it was translated from greek to english.
@@itstriplem2069 There are translations that say "man with boy". So, condemning pedophilia and not 2 consenting adults. I would like to hear more about why there are so many issues with the translations.
That’s an issue with the English language more than an issue with the Bible. Until the early 1970’s, it was just thought of as something so repulsive that people didn’t even want to give it a name.
I've asked over 100 gay men over many years "HOW" they "became" gay. Usually the same 3 answers were noted. 1. They were molested as a child ( Family friends, Uncles, Relatives, Neighbors etc) 2. Their first sexual experience was by same sex child/teen ( who had been molested or perverted at an early age) 3. Absolutely no Father Figure in their lives when growing up, or an extremely over bearing mother and their relationship with the fathers was minimal to null.
You're bearing false witness. I don't believe you for a second because you're getting your 3 "answers" from debunked science studies (absent dad, molested as a child, etc.) used only by anti-gay Christians who can't stick with the Bible to make their argument against homosexuality. The Word of God should be the only source to be for or against homosexuality.
Thought I would give this a try and see what is said. But really a lot of this is awful and so inaccurate. I'm a LGBTQ Christian and very proud of who I am. I am accepted by everyone in my life. There is no science behind why someone is gay. I had to stop listening

While it's true that scripture condemns homosexuality, Christians should do a deep dive into the false apostle Paul. Because there is a lot of evidence that points to Paul himself having been gay, even though he condemns it in his epistle.
@@dansaber8435 Nope. You can call yourself a Christian, but it doesn't make you one. Same as drunk who goes out drinking every night, that shows up to church worship on Sunday. He isn't really a Christian. You NEED scripture to prove anything. It doesn't really matter what you feel in your heart.
This is a form of "out-grouping"--what one group does to take pride in and to solidify their "we-ness." This video doesn't shed any new light, doesn't help anyone really do a better job of understanding the issue. It's propaganda. Congratulations.
