I agree! I think bringing back intermissions and having bounce back tickets would definitely make the movie-going experience better. Two-parters tend to become this awkward feeling length. Most of the time it feels like they should be shortened to one or commit to a mini-series.

Preach! it just feels so incomplete! make it more of an experience or go full LotR on it and give the big fans the extended cut later!

These are some really great points. This is why I tend to gravitate more towards TV shows rather than movies. 2 and 3 parters just seem to be movies that want to be TV shows, but do us all a favor and pick one or the other! Great video, and great ideas for the industry!

haha thanks Adam! yeah they gotta figure this thing out soon! :P If dune is a 4 parter i think I'm just going to personally renounce it, I've seen too many shots of the desert in 1 and 2 :P

The Problem with dune is that the story is very difficult to compress. It often depends on the viewer to think a specific thing to work. This is not easily done when you compress a whole book in one movie. If you ask me, more movies or series should be either in more parts or go longer to get more of the story. I'm there for exactly that, the story, not only for a cinema experience.
Many films failed because they were compressed too much.

That's true, compression is not always the answer, would you prefer Dune as a series or in movies in parts?
