My favorite song of hers is Jacobs Dream. She has perfect pitch. You did her before. It was When You Say Nothing at All. She is a fiddle player.
I listened to her for the first time because many years ago…I heard Whitney say her voice was angelic and she was so talented as a singer and also as someone playing a musical instrument. I was also surprised after watching her that since it’s not exactly what Whitney performed herself that she had such high regard for her. That also taught me a valuable lesson. Great performers understand and can hear a great performance and it doesn’t matter what type of music they are performing. It is what it is. I also made a mistake and I apologize saying that she had 24 Grammys. She actually has 27 Grammys and is the most decorated female singer in that regard. Grammys are not given to you by someone like me who likes your music and listening. You have to be voted on by many different people from many types of variations in the music industry. Thank you Whitney for mentioning her name or I would’ve never heard of her at that time in the past. I also hope that Whitney is resting in peace.

That album with Robert Plant was about the only time she got the credit it felt like she had earned. And had he not been on that album, I'm not sure if she would have gotten it even then.
They do upbeat bluegrass numbers...her hits are mostly slow.

Wonderful! Alison is amazing, such a pure voice. 'Atlanta', 'New Favorite', 'The Lucky One', "Just Let Me Touch You For AWhile' are all biggies for her, but almost any song by her is great.

She is a great artist. she can go from being lead, as in this song, to singing duets with the likes of Brad Paisley and Robert Plant, to singing back up with Vince Gill. Her band is awesomely talented as well. Dan Tyminski was George Clooney's voice in the movie O Brother where art thou! Need to check him out as well as the Duet with Robert Plant.

Your right. I have been lucky enough to watch her live. I thought she used falsetto for that high sound…..no….she belts it out. She plays with her group that she started with and they’re called Union Station. If you watch them in a video where they were playing together. They are famous not only for her saying but the perfection of the groups musical talent with instruments. As another famous singer has said, they are one take union station. He is correct in the recording studio is where that name was given to them. The one take band. It’s absolutely true they are so good almost everything they do is in one take
