    It took me a year but I finally took your advice and did the faucet upgrade. Half hour in the Home Depot parking lot is all it took. For future reference, the needed adaptor is 1/2"to 1/2" male to male (two of these cost $13 at Home Depot, ouch!) Don't forget the teflon tape!
    Looks/works great.

    The "square hex head" screws you mentioned in the first upgrade (got a chuckle out of "square hex") are called Roberts head. Just like the std "plus sign" shape in the U.S. is called Phillips head. Roberts head is common in Canada and is less prone to having the driver slip out, or the head to be rounded out and damaged during use. Wish Roberts head had caught on in the U.S. as it provides superior performance. The History Guy channel here has an interesting video on this called "Robertson, Phillips, and the History of the Screwdriver".

    nice job on the faucet! The rear cabinet, I would have installed a net instead of the the repositioning of the door. Most likely you will use that cabinet frequently and would required a net instead. It's crazy that for a brand new van, you have to fix so many things. The QA is not the best on Thor and Winnebago. They may have great designs and marketing, but the craftsmanship grade is 60%, almost a failure.

    Nice to see you both smiling! Upgrades…yay! You did an awesome job with the table, cabinet and faucet! Why didn’t you connect the shore power to an outlet in your garage and run the AC? We had a rubber triangle adaptor thingy..we could plug into.

    Thanks for another great video. We have the Sequence 20L and I am looking to install a Lagun mount to replace our table. I just need to find a good spot for it but your install will help me. I love the idea of buying the table like you did to use for the table top thanks for that.

    I think I'm going to do the same faucet. But the cabinet, wouldn't it have been better to mount it going either up or down? That way you could access it from either side?

  • @houstonstarbuck
    @houstonstarbuck 2 года назад +1

    I am trying to decide between the 20a you have and the solix px. I was leaning very much to the to thor for: solis bed setup is ONLY fully down and does not offer twin bed option. But your troubles with your unit certainly have me thinking about quality. are you still sold on the thor?

    • @Vancaskeys
      @Vancaskeys  2 года назад +1

      Yeah that’s a reason why we went with the 20 a also. Yes we are still sold on Thor. We’ve heard from so many people that RVs all classes can come with issues lately. And as long as Thor makes it right we will still be happy…but only time will tell. Makes us want to build our own out one day though lol

    • @houstonstarbuck
      @houstonstarbuck 2 года назад +1

      @@Vancaskeys I've owned a 5th wheel, a, b and c RV's over the years. EVERY unit had issues. It always comes down to the dealer and the support from the factory. But, build quality factors into the mix.
      I have a buddy who did build his own. I followed his exploits. It better be a labor of love because it sure seemed like a lot of work !
      Thanks for your videos and let's hope you got all the bugs out now.

    Hi Bob, I bought one of the faucets off of Amazon and sent it back because the connections didn't fit. Can you tell me the parts I would need? You mentioned that something came with the faucet, and then you connected the "nipples" I guess to convert it to male parts. What are those called? Also you need to tape the connections right? Thank you for these valuable videos!

    • @Vancaskeys
      @Vancaskeys  Год назад +1

      Hi! I will have to double check…I believe I had to purchase 2 brass 1/2 inch nipples and I taped the connections. The facet doesn’t come with the nipples I went to the hardware store. Another option would be to install a sink water shut off valve.

    • @lovematters7122
      @lovematters7122 Год назад

      @@Vancaskeys "sink water shut-off valve" I will have to figure out what that is! Why can't they just make a faucet for an RV? I've searched the internet for one and they don't seem to exist!🥴
