- In which Jon Anderson of Good Buddy Fly Fishing heads to the Tuckaseegee River in Sylva, NC. This is part of the annual Good Buddy trip and this year it was the best part of the delayed harvest. Plenty of rainbow trout and brook trout to go around.
Thanks for the shoutout! Natural bugs have been working the best. Sprinkle in some small dries and it’s a recipe for a pretty good day.
Glad to see you guys out there fishing.
Us too!
Nice Bow and Video! Does the river stay cool during the summer months?
To my knowledge is does not. I think it is a pretty good smallmouth fishery in the warmer months though.
Merry Christmas, really enjoy your videos. Fly information very useful.
Thanks, you too!
Enjoyed this a lot. Thank you.
Wouldn’t mind a float tube review video with your gear, thoughts, technique, etc. been thinking of getting one and this video really makes me want to even more.
Thanks for the great content!
My float tube is pretty inexpensive and Steve’s is much nicer. Maybe I’ll borrow his and review it sometime. But fishing in a float tube is pretty awesome.
I am hoping to see Steve catch some big ones.
I really enjoy fishing the Tuck, is never disappoints.
I really want to get up there when the small mouth are biting.
Great video as always! How long ago did you film this? We're headed to float the Tuck in Bryson City on the 20th. Looking for some big browns on streamers with Fly Fishing the Smokies.
That looked like an awesome day. Steve must not have caught as many as you or he would have made sure the viewers knew it. Have a great 2022!
Yes it was. You too!
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Love the vids, keep up the great work.
Thanks! You too!
That's what I call a tub o' fish. The Tuck!
There were so many fish. I was 10 or 15 fish in before I even started the video.
Happy holidays!
Same to you!
A Hot Wire Prince huh???...lol
It looks a lot like what I was fishing.
So I just moved to Georgia and currently live 10min from Chatahoochi river will I catch trout anywhere on that river and are there any fly fishing groups here ?
There is a pretty good group in a forum called NGTO but I haven't been very active there in a while. The trout fishing is best from Holcomb Bridge up to the dam. There is a lot of water that is best accessed by boat but some good wading too. Shoot me a message on Instagram and I will give you some more details.
Great!
Thanks for watching!
Mary Christmas buddy’s
Hope your Christmas was good man. Happy new year!
50 seconds in and I see a red and white legit bobber…are you tippin yer flies with wurms buddy????? Does Steve catch that many more fish than you these days???
It was a pink air-lock indicator (also known as a bobber) and no I don't tip my flies with worms. This is in a delayed harvest river and it is artificial only. Steve has always been a great angler and catches plenty of fish. We just give each other a hard time and I could care less if he catches more fish than me. That's not true. I care a little bit.
