They're both great, yeah. But how do guitar players from a certain genre in general need proof that they can be good? Gotta rate or 'judge' every single one individually, always! Guitar players, people, everyone....
Great!! Here's the proof that reggae guitarists are quite as talented and great players as any classic rock guitarist. Blessings to you breddas!! Respect!!!
I continue to love these Icons... The 'rock' sound of the Wailers is because of this duo, creating breathtaking rifts and licks that would live on for generations... Nuff respect Al Anderson and Juinor Marvin.
@@funkrocker8011Listen to Concrete Jungle on Babylon By Bus Album . I didn't talk about Catch A Fire. Al played all Concrete Jungle solos on tour with Bob. Wayne Perkins played the studio version solo.
There is nothing as pleasing as seeing the original Wailers keeping the light burning. Guys we love you dont ever forget us when we see you we are comforted as we lost the greatest of the greatest in Bob Marley
saw him yesterday in rottweil, germany and I was totally faszinated by his soli (I didnt knwo him before) you have to experience this live, but you can hear that he has staggering thoughts and he can translate them perfectly with his guitar. the whole wailers have to be seen live and the atmosphere on the concert was great, everybody joined the music, sang, danced, clapped, shouted, ... and the band is very open down to earth, after the show they made photos with fans, signed cards, ...
wikid piece of solo den the duo, dem men badd!! I'm loving it guys. Keep that pure reggae vibe and heritage alive. It's nice to see the continued fusion of reggae and blues sounds in this. Blessings
@1Delta Al is your guy on the left and Junior is on your right. Remember this duet rift goes down in history as genuine and pure as the music can be. One more thing, this was unrehearsed. Bob would would be watching, laughing and blessing he's left man who would carry on his legacy in music. The performance was just brilliant. Jah bless
They did four different shows at the rainbow, if you look up bob Marley live at the rainbow. 1st, 2nd, or 3rd of June you will find it, the only one they have on video currently is the 4th of June. Also the solos are very different-
Jamaica is the breeding ground of some of the mightiest people in history period!!! 😊🇯🇲Music ,sports, politics , military prowess. In the UK,USA, Canada and Jamaica .
AL Anderson & Junior Marvin is Smoking, string bending and pull-offs, with feelings, Very talented duo, obviously only got limited glimpse of showing their talent with Bob,
Reggae guitarists of The Original Wailers, Al Anderson and Junior Marvin, show that they are on a par with the biggest names in rock music! They are guitar masters and belong to the Reggae Legacy that Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, and Bunny Wailer started five decades ago! Incredible guitar playing!
Yes that guitar solo went on for far too long. I'm sure that Bob would never have tolerated or accepted it in any of his live performances whilst he was still alive.
@@bm6563 at all. These guys were really jealous of bob.. hence why they still living in his catalogue and touring off his name instead of creating their own shit lol

yes because in that date there was only 1 Wailers band with Aston and Junior together. Now they have some trouble and made 2 different bands: The Wailers with Aston Barrett and The Original Wailers of Junior Marvin and Al Anderson.
They refused the leadership of Ziggy Marley...look what happened to the Wailers...4 different Wailers band...and no success at all. They should have followed the instructions of Rita Marley instead of playing smart like they did.
They are touring the world now, without stop for two years. Familyman Aston Barrett with Julian Junior Marvin and Donald Kinsey. Beloved everywhere, Jah bless
Al Anderson...one of the most underrated guitarists of his generation.
They're both great, yeah. But how do guitar players from a certain genre in general need proof that they can be good? Gotta rate or 'judge' every single one individually, always! Guitar players, people, everyone....
Al has always been my man on the axe, Rastafari.
Unfortunately in reggae all the focus is on the drummer and bassist, but truth be told reggae has great musicians in every instrument.
true

Al Anderson is a shredder! Concrete Jungle, Lively Up yourself and many more title! IMO he is the best reggae lead guitarist of all time.
He didn't play the solo on Concrete Jungle

Brother you’re right!....Sooooo right!
The solo guitar that was played by Junior Marvin to same song in 1977 London rainbow concert remains the best version😉

Just saw Junior Marvin play with his ‘Wailers’
its al because of bass player ashton barrett that man was dificult. its al his fault that the wailers band every time had others players.
