the number one thing that makes baking less annoying/stressful for me is using a scale and weights instead of cup measurements! then you have so fewer dishes and you don't have to worry about filling the measuring cup wrong :)
Watching a RUclipsr get stressed and fail a baking recipe was so validating and realistic (and hilarious) compared to all the perfect recipes I usually see! More adventures and failures please, we love youuu 🎉
Love that you are branching out and trying to learn new skills. Way to go girl:). Also, I know the struggle of cookies drying out when stored. I enjoy their texture more if you make sure they are fully cooled before storing AND place a few saltine crackers in the storage container with the cookies. The crackers will soak up any excess moisture and keep the cookies a nice consistency.
Love making scones! I recommend making the mound on your baking tray, cutting them into triangles on there, and then you don’t have to move them too far to separate them on the tray.
ooooh you should try the bakery style white cake recipe by yup it's vegan!! it's kinda a complicated recipe but it's never failed me, and everyone says it's the best cake they've had 🎉 it's also easy to customize, I've made it strawberry, pandan, rosemary and thyme, earl grey, and lemon lavender!
advice for the cursed marshmallow slime: add a little water, like 1tsp at a time. butter has water that evapourates the longer it's on the stove and (i think?) not-butter might be solid fat, but if not, then its liquid will evapourate off and instead of fat+marsh+water into a nice smooth slime, you have fat+marsh into a very thick glue that makes it hard to combine the cereal without crushing it. if you add too much water, let it steam off again. congrats on FINALLY getting rid of those weird old minty marshmallows btw
Yayyy, I love baking so much!! I'm happy to see you try it, and I hope I learn something new. Also, I kinda like the night lighting haha, it feels like I'm chatting with a friend at a sleepover or something.
That's so funny as a "youngin" you said you would prefer a cupcake over a scone and I guess I was weird over here honestly hating cupcakes growing up but LOVED to get a scone as a birthday treat at my favorite local cafe growing up! And like you, my tastes have become more sophisticated and I hate cupcakes less now XD ps I am now going to go make scones they're so easy to make idk why I don't make them more
This is such a fun series! I remember your gluten free peanut butter cookies, they were so easy and so tasty and might be fun to bring back for this series
Idk how crispie treats are easy I nearly had a breakdown last time I tried. Maybe my marshmallows were old too. Would you consider making a strawberry rhubarb crumble? Crumbles are easier than pie and rhubarb and strawberries are plentiful now!
Ugh, I REALLY want to eat those scones now!!! By the way, at least in England they’re not really breakfast food hehe 🤭 And I love your kitchen so much, it’s so cosy, clean and beautiful! 🌸
Idk if you already know, but that looks like the Ovenly's secretly vegan choc chip cookies. Just in case you want to link it! I love that recipe it's the best and so easy 👌
@@ashleigh1159this actually means so much to me, i just recently started baking and I've doing it to help me with my depression and anxiety, so thank you very much

I've never thought of that. What a great idea!
I love the fact that you are so validating about how things that seem small to some, but are still new to you, is still challenging yourself.
You're my comfort creator
the one stubborn cookie that wouldn’t get on the spatula really made me giggle, thx for that lol

Matcha Cookies! Never tried them but they sound yum

Your voice is soothing and calming like Mr. Rogers. Love the food recipes.
I've always wanted to make scones 🤔 you've convinced me. Also, put a piece of bread in the container when you store your cookies.

Those scones look amazing. I love the Schitts Creek reference!
Watched this while eating some of the strawberry shortcake I made, I'd suggest making that since it's berry season 😊 the scones looked so good!
I love making scones they are my favorites I make mine with orange instead of lemon and cranberries instead of blueberries. They are delicious 🤤

“All glaze is good glaze ammiright ladiiies”
Thank you for this!! I had been feeling uninspired about baking, but now I'm excited to try creative ideas!!
Iconic as always!
you should get a cooking scale cause it makes baking way easier and you don’t have to dirty up any cup measurements!!
I keep meaning to make molasses cookies and strawberry oat bars 😋
Even fresh vegan marshmellows melt like that. Theyre just a little different but it works!
let the rice crispsies freeze for like 15 min and use less butter! that's what worked when i did it.
Hooray, a new series! 💛🙏

Dude I’m literally a classically trained pastry chef but once I went vegan I basically stopped baking. Vegan baking is so hard!!

Idk how crispie treats are easy I nearly had a breakdown last time I tried. Maybe my marshmallows were old too. Would you consider making a strawberry rhubarb crumble? Crumbles are easier than pie and rhubarb and strawberries are plentiful now!
You should try making your own granola or granola bars! I think they're pretty easy and the homemade granola I've had has been delicious, so toasty!
Savory scones next!!
