    I've put a work order in for over a year due to a leak in the ceiling under the bathtub. They close the work order out and lie about doing the work or being able to enter my unit. They have keys. They've had plenty of time. My house smells funny and when we shower water pours down at the landing of the stairs where there's a big hole in the ceiling.

    I was told that doing so the land lord can still evict me even tho my rent is paid on time and in full then they don’t do the repairs and I wind up filing for escrow

      Take that to your local news- if you get sick that’s a lawsuit on them.

    Ok what if it’s time to renew your lease while paying rent to escrow but you plan to stay, do you renew with the increase rent or does the escrow protect me from the increase rent?

    What keeps the landlord from retaliating and after you drop out of rent escrow they kick you out for turning them in?

    • @Jayevlofficial
      @Jayevlofficial 2 года назад +2

      There's a retaliation law that wont allow them to do so, if you have proof they have tried evicting you after placing money in escrow you can sue

      @@Jayevlofficial but it's a month by month lease so what if they say they're kicking me out now because I'm causing problems and that would be after escrow ended?

    How about, I live in Norman Ok. We had a hail storm and only Norman had the hail storm. No other city. Since then I let them know three times about my window being broken. At that time about the window, I also let them know my toilet is making a rambing noise after I flush. I tried to do the best at duck taping my window so things couldn't get through.
    Today I killed 5 or 6 wasp
    I can show pics. The wasps couldn't get through the blinds. So I hit the blinds with a shoe killing the wasp. Is this enough for escrow?

    I'm living in Cleveland Ohio as of now. So can you make another video explaining step by step how people can go down to the courts and the proper paperwork needed to put rent into escrow and how will the rent monies be handled after it goes into these systems. Thank You.

    She never explains how to hold rent in escrow, which makes her video a failure.

      I agree. The problem is most people don't realize this is their right. I speak to people all the time that just stop paying their rent to punish the Landlord, and it works against them. I say pay your rent. If the Landlord fails to make repairs, contact the Landlord and Tenant Court in your State/County and ask about the procedure to open up a rent/escrow account. Let your Landlord know your intentions, and follow-through. -Trust, the Landlord will make those repairs. Most of the time, the Landlord knows most of their tenants don't know their rights and they take advantage of it, but when they know the tenant knows what to do, they will take care of the problem. However, there's a procedure and if you are going to do a video, this needs to be explained.
