What if tenant has no Lease but has lived in residence for for 6 years before new tenants move in beside them with vicious dogs.We are threatened nearly every time we step outside and Landlord knowing does nothing can we refuse rent till dogs are removed or a fence is put up?
Hello, I do have a question about the lease. There is a lease signed between 2 person but in the lease there is nothing mentioned about both tenants have to pay 50/50. So my roommate wants to leave and I can't afford full rent. She is not looking for anyone to sublease and I am an International student so she is too. She signed the lease 6 months ago I got this lease in sublease and I am staying here from this January. What should I do? Thank you so much in advance.
Ohio law- a LL has 30 days to give tenant back any security deposit due, IF the tenant has provided new address, or if LL reasonably knows address. (Such as tenant works with LL).
I'm not a lawyer, but a lawyer advised me to be very careful. If I were to claim tenant Tom stole from me, or tenant Tiffany stiffed me on rent I could be at risk of libel or defamation of character unless I could prove a court had already determined they were true.
