Think a little more about that question you asked "Why would Yachiru 1st touch the sword?" Kenpachi released his shikai, calling it's NAME for the 1st time. Then a flashback of Kenpachi shows him asking a little girl "Where did you come from?"...she responds by touching the sword, then he asks "What's your NAME?" and it goes back to Kenpachi slicing the meteor. Hmmm....put 2 and 2 together...
9:24 the issue with Gremmy was that he's an inexperienced & sheltered kid. If he had the experience & knowledge of Urahara or Mayuri he'd be one of the most dangerous characters in all of Bleach.
yeah i do believe Gremmy was cold. He was just outmatched.
@@theblerdbae they cut this from the anime for some reason (I'm guessing for pacing issues?) Askin Nak Le Vaar (the Quincy dude who people thinks looks like Aizen) is talking to another Quincy.
Basically Gremmy is very dangerous & unhinged. He was caged up pretty much all his life due to the whole Wandenreich fearing his powers.
I feel like if he had good parental guardians to raise, nurture & properly take care of him to become experienced & intelligent he would've been way more methodical & dangerous.

I 100% agree with the visionary theory and that’s why he couldn’t just imagine kenpachi dying either. He had to create multiple bodies just to try to defeat him and in return lost the fight due to not being able to comprehend kenpachi’s power fitting in one body when he tried to use his power to fix his own body.
Nobody else noticed Maki Maki from season 3 in the squad 11 shot lol Remember the dude who was running around with Yachiru, Orihime Kenpachi Ikkaku and Yumichika

This might be a little long because Gremmy’s whole character isn’t translated too well onto the anime. The anime cut some scenes of dialogue regarding him and we also got to find out more about Gremmy in the Bleach light novel, Can’t Fear Your Own World, which delves more into Gremmy’s character.
So first lets talk about Gremmy’s power. Gremmy’s ability is simply to make whatever he imagines into reality. Now the question is “why did he just imagine Kenpachi to be dead”. The answer is that he didn’t want to. Gremmy throughout the fight makes it clear he wants to prove he is stronger than Kenpachi. Instantly killing him with a thought wouldn’t prove a thing, it would just be another case of “oh his hax ability did it”. Gremmy has a huge superiority complex because of the fact that it is commonly said he is the strongest and since nobody ever challenged him on it, he believed it to be true. Kenpachi however is the first to not only challenge him, but basically tells him “Don’t you want to prove you are the strongest by beating the Strongest?”. This shifts Gremmy’s mind from being completely uncaring to “oh wait….i guess I DO want to prove it”. Thus, he never goes for the simple “I imagined you dead”.
Now lets get more into Gremmy’s mindset and why he ends up losing. The anime cuts some dialogue but its stated by the other Sternritter while he was fighting Kenpachi that they had kept Gremmy locked away in a cage. This caused Gremmy to be very limited in mind and ability
He was kept in isolation his whole life so when he fought Kenpachi, he finally got a taste of how life is and how great it feels to fight someone. However, the issue was that he had no battle experience and had no real grasp on his full potential. This caused him to not only be very meh in terms of what he imagined but it caused him to behave careless in battle.
In the light novel, “Can’t Fear Your Own World”, it confirms that the isolation caused Gremmy to be nerfed in his abilities due to him never having the chance to grow and learn more about the world, himself, and what it was to be in a fight. The novel also states exactly what it was that killed Gremmy.
Gremmy was just a brain. A brain that was given “The Visionary” by Yhwach. When this brain received the ability, it entered a sort of dream state to where it could make whatever it imagined into reality. He created a body for himself which is what we see him as normally, the boy known as Gremmy Thoumeaux. However once Gremmy tore his body apart after imagining a power stronger than Kenpachi, the pain he took on cause his brain to “awaken from his dreams” which is what killed him in the end.
I would have hoped the TYBW would have at least added in these details that we learned in the light novel + the lines regarding Gremmy from the manga considering its been doing a great job at adding new stuff to the arc but I guess Gremmy took a backseat in that regard. Hopefully this helps you understand him more though!

@@sasagrcevic475 Yeah that was honestly a bummer because that was my favorite part about the meteor scene. The fact that we see people like Bazz B and Askin literally freak out because Gremmy did that. They knew they were all going to die which built up the hype for Gremmy being the strongest. Even Jugram had to order people to try and protect Yhwach because of the danger Gremmy is posed

I’m not going to spoil anything but there was some major foreshadowing in this episode you may have missed
10:28 basically he viewed Kenpachi as this nigh unkillable beast & tried to transform onto being capable of defeating said beast. Unfortunately his body couldn't handle it & broke down. If he was wiser he'd wish for a more durable body....... Or imagine that Kenpachi got teleported in the sun ☀️ lol.

Gremmy power is the Visionary = the Power of imagination, he created the old man that attacked Yachiru which is why he blew up because he erased him from his imagination thus removing him from existence.
gremmy can bend reality via his imagination however affecting others with his power requires touch in the case of Yachiru turning her bones into Cookies.
Yo your analytical skills are on point compared to most reactors. You really follow powers and details very well without being a manga reader. Impressive 4real.

no it didn't! I actually cut out my comment about Yachiru touching the sword. Kinda feels obvious that they're connected.
