Item 1. When I bought my BMW, the same day as I collected it, I Whee'd the security wheelnuts over a hedge and relaced with normal. Item 2. Never allow a garage to tighten wheelnuts with an airgun.
I noticed that the shroud was very loose once inside the wheel nut housing whilst you were trying to steady it and hammer at the same time. If you had wrapped electrical tape around it to widen its girth it would be far more stable and easier to hammer…..
I find the dynomec supplied impact driver to be pretty poor. Only seems to work on nuts that aren't very tight. Usually end up using a breaker bar to get most nuts opened.
A really interesting video considering I've been watching my neighbour, for the past four days, trying everything to remove a jammed locking nut.

I put a bolt up inside it with a long thread the bolt head touches the ring and you can nok it straight out
You may also punch out the ring from the nut with a small pin punch. That avoids destroying the nut over time.

have you tried to squeeze with wise until it cracks it's soft metal should crack
how long it takes to remove the wheel lock? I have a tool which I made it takes 10 seconds remove. we can discuss if you are interested

I did mine with 22mm socket and hammer.. unfortunately just sleeve came off and my removal tool is too big to get inside the alloy 😢
Am old enough to remember when Mercedes charged extra for wheel nuts that rusted within a year.

I find the hammer a bit under powered but not sure if it's the compressor
