I remember singing this when I was a student in Christian Day School. (in the 1950s) Our teacher prepared us and we sang this song one Sunday in church. My mother cried, the words touched her so deeply
What a beautiful song! This has always been a favorite of mine, and especially now amidst the whole Coronavirus quarantine, this means even more. Thank you heavenly Father for safely holding us in your bosom.
A truly beautiful version of our Swedish hymn - "Tryggare kan ingen vara" ("No one could be safer"). I am not religious but there is something about beautiful hymns that always touches me.
It's a wonderful hymn. Our church (Presbyterian) used to sing it when newly baptized babies were presented to the congregation. Beautiful job (as always) by Concordia.
Wow. Sounds just like a Welsh Male Voice Choir with female choral voices added. That is the very highest compliment I can think to give. Wonderfully and so sensitively conducted, too. Well done.
TRYGGARE KAN INGEN VARA by Lina Sandell = SOLI DEO GLORIA =Children of the heav’nly Father Safely in His bosom gather; Nestling bird nor star in Heaven Such a refuge e’er was given. God His own doth tend and nourish; In His holy courts they flourish; From all evil things He spares them; In His mighty arms He bears them. Neither life nor death shall ever From the Lord His children sever; Unto them His grace He showeth, And their sorrows all He knoweth. Though He giveth or He taketh, God His children ne’er forsaketh; His the loving purpose solely To preserve them pure and holy. Lo, their very hairs He numbers, And no daily care encumbers Them that share His ev’ry blessing And His help in woes distressing. Praise the Lord in joyful numbers: Your Protector never slumbers. At the will of your Defender Ev’ry foeman must surrender.
Wonderful, thank you!🙏

Magnificent and beautiful. Would have loved to have seen and heard this in person.
