  • Heena and Paresh Patel run one of San Francisco’s most exciting restaurants - Besharam, a Gujarati Indian fine dining establishment. The name Besharam means “shameless”, a trait that the family has used to great benefit in their journey. Moving from London to California in the 1990’s, they worked for over 20 years running a liquor store/flower shop, before finally earning a chance to run their dream restaurant, all the while raising two successful children and maintaining the family. Today they’re proudly shameless, serving an exclusively vegetarian menu that’s exciting and delicious.

This is where #Munchies excels at what it does best. Introducing a family that works together for the common good with respect for each members individuality -- the complete opposite of what I grew up in. Thanks to the Patel family for sharing their story and continued happiness and success (not just in business, but in life).

Most restaurants' chefs dont, its easier AND safer to wash hands more frequently than sanitize the gloves. If you don't "want anyone touching your food".... you'd kinda have to restrict to fast food chains only, where workers DO wear gloves as they are part timers that can't be trusted to do their job efficiently.
Like, most pizzerias have chef spread/shape the pizza by hands afterall, most don't wear gloves while doing so.
