I use this tool for over three year and haven’t change the blade on it yet. I cut with 5/8 to 1-1/8 copper all the time and it doesn’t take that long to cut it. I did have a coworker who had that problem with one he had to replace the whole either gear assembly in order for it to work properly.
Update, this tool does not cut irish copper. I got 3 replaced and spoke to another user said the same doesnt work. then i went to a different supplier that had the inox versions and they told me they dont stock this model as it does not cut irish copper. After getting the inox model it cuts perfect on irish copper and any other round pipe So basically if you want it to cut irish copper you need the inox version Milwaukee inox copper cutter
What is the wall thickness of each pipe. They are broken down by types. I have this tool as well. There is a sweet spot when your pushing pipe into cutter. If you push too far with slides the cutter wheel doesn’t touch.
Junk. Mine breaks down all the time. While under warranty I had to take it in at least 3 times because it would not reset after the cut. This happened 7 times in 3 years period. The tool company that works on these told me they are constantly fixing these because of the heads not working right. I own all Milwaukee cordless tools but they dropped the ball on this i ended up buying the DeWalt cutter and yes I have to switch heads from 1/2" to 3/4" but at least it doesn't break down all the time and it cuts twice as faster than the Milwaukee.

Same with 16mm copper
