Was the coil pack still functional after this? I'm doing my gasket and spark plugs soon because of oil down spark plug wells, I was going to put a new coil pack on aswell but dont know if i need to spend the extra if it's not needed. My gasket isn't as bad as yours, I have no oil around edge of cover just seems to have failed around spark plug part so far.
If you take the rocker cover off and the oil has been leaking on to the spark plugs then I would definitely replace them. It's fairly simple to change them anyway and they don't cost much.
Bit late but it might be worth changing the crankcase breather valve while you're there.

The coil pack was ok just clean the oil off it and you should be fine
I was wondering if this car could even start after so much oil around the spark plugs and coil?
Surprisingly yes it did but was very sluggish. Runs great now 😃
Do you think it would be OK to leave the spark plugs alone, change the gasket and get them looked at when it's next in for service?
