    Hi mate Paul here going to give this a wee watch.. I took my beam off the car u seen at summerlee to fit powerflex bushes, trouble was they went in far too easy. I ended up getting into some tech details with the powerflex tech department over the issue turned out their mould machine over time had started to produce bushes ever so slightly undersized so didn't fit in bore properly 😂 ended up stopping their production line for a few wk till they resolved issues haha tbf to them tho they sent me a set ASAP once things were sorted... thinking of doing zlet subframe bushes soon what brand u use on this and you notice a big difference??

    • @Street_Fitter
      @Street_Fitter 2 дня назад

      @@paulmc9314 funny you should say that I've fitted powerflex in the rear axle as well and since then my rear tyres have always worn on the inner edges! I got these godflex bushes a while back for the turbo but never had the subframe out so figured I'd fit them to the diesel seeing as the subframe was out for doing the gearbox and it does the most miles anyway. Tbh I don't think it's made a massive difference because the original bushes weren't that bad but it does seem stiffer and the handling is good because I do rally it about to be fair 😄 here's the eBay link I got them from: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/334740913146

    Thanks for making and showing this video. Just to add the VW manual says you should ALSO quickly pump the clutch pedal 20 times after the bleed valve is opened. The reason for doing it fast is that the fluid is pushed down taking air bubbles with it. The air bubbles will try to rise back up on their own, but they move slowly. The repeated fast pulses of fluid overcome the back flow of bubbles, and they gradually get carried down to the bleed valve and out. Air cannot get back into the system via the open valve as the pressure from the pressure system is always forcing fluid out of it. The pumping ensures that a full force of fluid is shot out to remove trapped air. Hope this addition and explanation helps someone.

I'm sure the petrol f17 gear ratios are different. The eco4 ones are different as well but the gb in mine now is from a low mileage dti estate feels great nice smooth gear change although it seems a bit slower on acceleration but about the same top end.

    Some of these bolts could be very tight due to excessive amount of lock-tight during manufacturing. I stripped one of the bolt heads and broke loose one of the nuts in the chassis during this process. If I would do it again I think I would use a nut driver like he used in this video. Don't be afraid of this step, but be careful guys when you loosen these bolts the first time.
