@@Liquid12322 yeah this isn't my style either, they just went in a different direction. I wonder who their influences are now? Never been into punk very much & this has that upbeat punk vibe, especially the drums. But the very end of the song sounded nice. I think their first 3 albums were the best
@@frankmarano1118 since Fred left the band I think they just went down hill. His influence on the band was very apparent once he left.

Four of my favorites as well. Are you from the UK? I'm American and have not met a single other American who knows about Funeral For a Friend. I wouldn't have discovered them if not for hearing one of their songs in an episode of Torchwood five years or so ago.
Whaaaat?? I'm not sure if you're in a weird part of the US, but I'm American and started hearing about FFAF in high school (10 years ago) and know tons of people that love them! I'm talkin small town USA where there's not exactly a huge music scene either.

I had a couple beers with Adam one night after a concert out in Houston across the street from the venue. for all the showmanship he has he sure is collected when not on stage.
I peg Adam as a ham and cheese kind of guy. John is more of a roast beef kind of guy.

Wow, why does this video have 1/6 dislike. This song is amazing. Most bands suck after producing a lot of albums. But Taking Back Sunday always has kept their stuff fresh and amazing.

Never been a fan of TBS, but THIS is fucking EXCELLENT.
That's because this isn't TBS. This is a completely different sound than what all of us who love TBS know.
One, I didn't know they were still together but I love it. To me, it sounds like their old stuff, mixed with a more upbeat version of Modest Mouse. I absolutely love it.

I really enjoy the punk edge on these new tracks. It seems like so many big pop/punk/emo bands of days past have been neglecting the punk aspect of their music.

Great song. Great album. I do love louder now/Wywb/tayf and think it's some of their best, but tbh the first three albums are romanticized waayy too much. They'll always be there, but those three stylistically are different from one another....which is what this band does. Each album has its own uniqueness to it. Some more than others, but this one? This is something else, and if you don't know it now, you'll know it when you see them play the whole album live on their tour. They're clearly proud of this and are not afraid to showcase the whole damn thing live night in night out.

I don't know if it's quite legendary, but what this song is, is pretty good, and the best effort so far for Taking Back Sunday's new album. Spin the song a few times, and it really is catchy.
Side note, there are some interesting, to say the least, references in Nolan's lyrics.
