THANKS
Great video Rob. Getting the original plate off was still hard as the text mentioned it has hooks. The grommets are a bit of a pain to align all three and bolt in. Wiring was super simple. The LED light bar looks brighter in real life. Thanks to the help.
Glad it helped and thanks for the comment and feed back
My z248f will be here in a few days and I will use your link to buy this kit, great video, thanks
I appreciate it but the link doesn't work, they kicked me off since I didn't make any money for them. But I'm glad the video helped you. Oh and congrats on the new mower, I hope it's as good for you as mine has been for me.
Love the video....just got my 54" today, thought the light came with it. You made it look easy....im going to give it a try.
I ordered a light kit myself as well..!!!
Don't know that I would use the light but I watched the video just in case. Very informative. Thanks. Liked
Thanks, we have used it a few times when it got to dark, works good. Not great but good.
Great Mower that’s the one I want
I put springs on rubbers under seat(no drilling ),lot better ride
That's a great idea
Cool. Something I want to do also. Wondering if it fits commercial zero. I have some open clips nothing on them. Cool
Take the plastic cover off also. Makes it so much easier.
Yep definitely great idea. Thanks for the comment.
I was wondering if there are other kits that put out more light then I'll go buy the best. Talk to me...
There may be but I happen to get these, I guess you could always mount an led light bar for a car/truck and would work good (in a worse case senerio). Thanks for the comment.
Don’t tighten the rear bolt. Slide light on to grommet then tighten. Very easy install 20 minutes
Did you have to modify the hitch place to install the ball?
If you get the correct shaft on the ball you won't need to, if not then, yes. You can get a step bit (uni-bit) and open the hole on the plate and you should be good. Thanks
Do you have any ideal why my PTO would just stop working the blades still turn the belt don't look like it is off
I know some times if you start it and the arms aren't pulled in then they won't come on. Could be a loose belt. Other than those I'm not sure. I have over 400 hours on mine and haven't had an issue like that yet.
The only caveat is that it doesn’t have a fuel gauge. Otherwise it’s an awesome mower.
I wished that from the first time I ran out of gas and had to walk to get the can. Lol
Great video trying to get a sun shade cause I’m in South Carolina it’s HOT if you know or have a suggestion much appreciated?
I haven't looked into it but I have thought about it so maybe soon I'll do that. Thanks
I was trying to figure out if that hardware had left handed threads or what! Then I noticed the text on the instructions was backwards. Mirror image video!
Yeah, I use my phone. If I have the front camera recording it's flipped and if I use the back camera it's correct, but I can't see if it's recording the correct area. Thanks and sorry about that.
Is the transmission very slow or would you say pretty good in speed and power (i think it's zt 2200 right)?
It's an ezt 2200 I'm pretty sure and as for the transmissions, they are ok. With me loving to race cars it's not fast for me but for a mower it's not bad. The speed keeps up with the cutting blades so im good with it. Now if you are asking does it have the speed of the $10+ commercial mowers, the answer is no but does okay. Hope this helps and thanks for the comment.
Is there any other place made on the mower to put light ? Like under the switch? Is that for lights do you think is what i am trying to ask
It's possible but I don't know to be honest with you
Ok thanks for replying
I have the same mower, when are you going to install arm rests?
I would love to but I don't have the spare cash to get them to try, but if I ever get to that point I would love. I'm sure it would help my shoulders from hurting after being on it for hours. (Bc I have bad shoulders from sports). Thanks for the comment. ( I hope one day I can make that video though)
Do you know if you can install it with the bagger counter weights on the front?
Any links where to purchase? Cant find this online?
I went to Amazon to get it. Go there, put the zero turn model (eg. Z254f) and put hitch plate.
And it should come up. Thanks
Ate you happy with the light output?
Yes I am
the link shows its not available. nor do they know if it will be
I got the links fix, thanks for trying. They had the wrong address to verify and got it straight. thanks for the comment.
where do you order the other headlight ?
I got them on Amazon
The only caveat for the machine is no fuel gauge. Otherwise it’s a GREAT machine.
Agreed
Have you thought of putting armrests on the chair?
Yes i have, but I may swap to another chair, one with springs. But I would like to get the canopy as well
Is it worth getting the armrest? Does it help having it?
For me no, unless you have longer arms, I would assume they would hardly be on them. In my opinion.
My dealer told me today when I bought a new Z248F and inquired about seat with armrests...he replied, "with shorter arms as you and I had, they wouldn't come into use much whatsoever".....
Not realizing you could fast the lap bars, which I did, I have to think f those armrests are any length whatsoever, they would come in good for me....I think I may do as the guy mentioned in this thread as well...I may just look at any/all seats with springs and armrests too.!!!!
just a suggestion, edit out all of the idle time where your reading and saying "uhm". We all know that you have to read them but don't need to watch you read, I was fast forwarding just to get to the meat of the video
Sorry you had to do that, im working on it. When I start recording I didn't have any editing software and even now I'm trying to figure it out. Which is why most of my videos are live or on the fly. But thanks for the comment and sorry about the super late response, I'm just now seeing these.
Have you ordered the armrest for the seat yet
No, at the moment i have not. It would be nice but not necessary for me. However i may look into getting a better seat, one that has some springs. i have lots of horse hoof craters in the yard and sometimes it sucks. lol,
How much for kit?
I believe $74
Should have welded it
Curious, what would you do if.. say the light went out and you needed access to it.??? With it welded..?? I don't mean to be rude by NO means, as I love to weld...it's a hobby of mine......just doesn't seem it'd be the best thing to do right there...idk.!?!?!?
This must be a mirror image because screws are screwing the wrong direction.
i was using the screen side of my phone and it is a mirror image. sorry about that. thanks for the comment.
Lefty tighty righty loosy.
lol, yeah was on the screen side of my phone and it makes it the mirror image sorry about that. thanks for the comment
Nice video, but Husqavarna z254f SUCKS! Big mistake! Will never own another one!
I appreciate the compliment, and sorry you didn't like yours. I still love mine and I have over 600 hours on it. Thanks for the comment
Probably the worst mower I ever owned. In the same cutting I have bucking bronco and Tokyo slide.. It’s hard to even get it out of the garage without it bouncing around. Took it back to a place to work on it and they said “ nothing wrong “ …. Well crap……
I'm sorry you had a bad experience. I've had mine for almost 5 years with about 460 hours and it's still doing great. Matter of fact I did a bit of maintenance on it and it's running better than ever
