Showcasing my Daniel Defense MK18 with a Colt lower. The Close Quarter Battle Receiver (CQBR) is a replacement upper receiver for the M4A1 Carbine, developed by the US Navy.
The CQBR features a 10.3 in (262 mm) length barrel (similar to the Colt Commando short-barreled M16 variants of the past) which makes the weapon significantly more compact, thus making it easier to use in, and around, vehicles and in tight, confined spaces. The overall length of the upper receiver is 19.25 inches (489 mm). With the stock collapsed, the overall length of the weapon is 26.75 inches (679.4 mm). Those created as complete rifles (rather than only upper receivers) are type designated as Mk 18 MOD 0/1.
This showcase was done on a private range safely and within regulations of the Law. This firearm is legally acquired and owned by myself.

I have a DD MK18 too ... I bought it about 6 months ago and put a Trijicon 4x 32 , B5 system stock a Radian charging handle and Vickers sling , im itching to get her out , I have a date Saturday night im going to let her send it for the first time

Can anybody explain me diff Between Mk18 and M4 carbine?😮
Short answer:
M4 Carbine is the rifle with longer barrel meant for warfighting while the MK18 is the rifle with the shorter barrel (the one in the video) meant for CQB.
Long answer:
The M4A1 Carbine is the military designation for a shortened M16(A2) which is also the military designation for the civilian Armalite AR-15 from the late 50's. The main difference between the M4 and the M16 is that the former features a cut down 14.5 inch barrel that helps the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge be fired with enough velocity to hit targets while being maneuverable enough in close distance engagements provided the area a soldier operates in isn't tight.
The MK18 is basically an M4A1 but with a very compromised barrel profile as it runs on a 10.3 inch barrel solely meant for (at the time before the War on Terror) close quarters battle (or CQB) while raiding a ship since the interior of a ship is very narrow and sometimes too tight and claustrophobic. It was conceived by the US Navy's Naval Special Warfare's CRANE division and was built on a M4 upper and M16A1 lower which the Navy had lots of both in storage.

As a UK resident and complete novice when it comes to firearms, can somebody tell me what it is on top of the gun. I'm guessing the first one is some sort of sight or scope but I'm not sure and as for what looks like 2 more optics of some kind above the muzzle, I haven't got a clue. Can anybody fill me in🤷🏻♂️

@@SofaSpud_ it displays a reticle. they take the reticle and place it on the target and shoot.
the other thing near the muzzle is some sort of PEQ-15 or PEQ 15 clone (google it). it is for night vision. it shoots out a laser that can only be seen by night vision goggles.
and then you have the flash light attached. self explanatory.
