Clover's rage rapidly amplified their LOVE by 7 LV thanks to Axis' revelation, however they only knew that Axis was forced to kill that human, with _no further detail._
Imagine which LV Clover would jump to if they found out that Axis had basically blasted that human's face off, as implied by Chujin in a tape, and the damaged pillar for fun values 24-26, depicting the human in the tutu and ballet shoes.

Honestly, the blatant disregard for canon in this scene only makes it that much funnier.
Clover was so angry that they broke every rule in the book and immediately went "That's right, this is what you get, my SUPER LASER PISS"
Level of violence is about how easy it is to make yourself hurt somebody. The revelation from Axis basically just removed all of the empathy left in Clover’s heart.
In regular UT, as stated by sans in the final corridor, LOVE is defined as "...the more easily you can bring yourself to hurt others". Axis literally told clover that he shot and killed a child. That alone is horrible to hear, but what makes things worse is that Clover was looking for those kids. he wanted to serve justice, and justice came too late. All of that information coming from a failed metallic science project results in clover righteously believing (and im sure alot of others would too), that destruction of Axis would be the only way to deal justice in such a situation.
@@cosmicalize And it is exactly this line of thinking that demonstrates how the UTY developers misunderstood what LOVE is on a fundamental level. LV has nothing to do with someone being angry. It is a general measurement of one's capacity to kill and state of detachment from the world. It's directly associated with EXP, which can ONLY increase by killing someone. Anger is temporary and generally targetted, it can make it easier to kill in the moment, but LV is not affected by emotion.
The laser is also an issue for reasons that should be obvious. The yellow SOUL mode is already in a weird spot by simply existing(as in Undertale, it's only possible thanks to Alphys' upgrades to Frisk's phone. That Kris was able to use an improved version against Spamton for unknown reasons makes it feasible for Clover to do it, but in Kris' case it will likely be explained down the line(possibly some kind of chosen one BS, given how Spamton makes it clear he didn't consciously cause it), whereas it's not explained in UTY why Clover not just suddenly realized they could shoot during the opponent's turn, but also was able to do a [Big Shot].), but the laser, which has absolutely no reason to exist besides the coolness factor of giving the child a "f*ck everything in that general direction, including canon" beam, makes no sense. There's zero explanation for it, it just manifests out of nowhere for no apparent reason, and somehow still manages to get more screentime than Dalv. The dash, similarly, has absolutely no basis for existing and is just there as an added gimmick, and doesn't even fit the theme, but that's not in this scene.

There is, actually. This act is repeatedly foreshadowed by Flowey, who repeatedly insinuates that his ultimate plan is to erase everything(repeatedly referencing destroying the world across all routes), he's just never succeeded in becoming sufficiently detached from the world to bring himself to go through with it.
Chara seems to have believed that Frisk was aiming for this goal the entire geno route, becoming noticeably irritated if Frisk proves that, no, there was no greater goal, they just did it because they could, believing they could avoid the consequences, whether they prove this by refusing to erase the world or by coming back afterwards.

Ignoring the incredibly awkward phrasing of that claim, it's just blatantly wrong. Sans explicitly states that LV is calculated with EXP, which only increases when you kill.
In any game, seeing someone's "LV" go up by 7 from a single statement is terrifying enough.
Combine that with the definition of LOVE, and I was left staring at my screen for a solid minute trying to process the monster I created.

The UTY Genocide route is for me, although the same in terms of grinding and killing, different from UT Genocide.
I felt guilt initially but slowly but surely convinced myself that it was Justice and not murder.
But when i realized that Axis killed the Integrity human by blasting off their face, i FOR SURE felt like Clover.
Justice must be served.
I'd go as far to say that it's not as morally bad as the flawed pacifist route, while on one it's a kid going down looking for other kids, finding out they were all killed, then being attacked by everyone they see, eventually filling with rage, the flawed pacifist is a kid learning to accept that everyone is nice and has their own lives, making friends, making lives brighter, then switching it around right at the end, killing the psycho mother who just realised their mistakes, and breaking the hearts of the people they met, knowing that they would have a worse ending in spite of one person.
Axis: i killed the third human.
Clover: so in that way, I. STARTED. BLASTING.

Maybe ut yellows is justified but not uts because its not about self defense or justice, its about destroying everythin in the world out of curiosity.
What I like about Undertale Yellow's genocide route is that even though you're cleraly evil as sin, if you look at it from Clover's perspective, it is kind of "jutified" in a sense.
But then you remember that humanity already won the war, and the slaughter of even more monsters wouldnt really help anything or anyone.
You forget that the monsters literally intend to destroy humanity with those souls. Freeing them prevents a genocide.

surprisingly, the genocide route is the best route for clover, they and the souls leave with judgement casted upon the monsters.
imagine how you would feel, hearing these self-righteous monsters go on and on about how "humans are horrible" even though they've killed every human that has fallen down, child or not. and because LV stands for level of violence, which measures your capacity to hurt, it makes sense that clover's level went up, because clover felt so inclined to kill axis after hearing that they killed a human, their capacity to hurt went up.
