I like the fact Lighter and Fuel appear in this scene, showing that they did not forget about what Flint did in the first chapter. But Bronson's presence kind of bugs me. Other than telling Flint the bad news and repurposing the Drago Fang into a weapon, he does nothing relevant. Why could he be there? Other than him just being nice, that is.
I always thought of Bronson showing up in this scene as redeeming himself for falling into Façades illusion of a perfect society, like he was showing the others and Flint especially that he was loyal to the ways of how things used to be in the village before porky.
Really late answer but... I feel like Bronson represents all the villagers. Like them, Bronson eventually adapted to the new society and fell for the lies of Porky and his army. Not to the exent of say, Isaac, but he did anyways. Obviously it'd be a bit silly to place every single villager sprite in that scene, so they just placed Bronson there (who, while not as important as others, is still somewhat memorable for his involvement in the revelation of Hinawa's death) to symbolize the redemption of the whole village.
I always thought that Wess, Alec, and Lighter and Fuel showed up since they were the few villagers that didn’t buy into the happy box thing and helped DCMC go to the top floor. Idk how Bronson is there too
bronson was actually gonna be a party member in an earlier version of the GBA port, iirc he'd have replaced thomas i remember seeing something like that in a mother 3 unused content video, maybe that's why but yeah i guess he just represents the villagers here so it works regardless
I was curious, so I figured this out. So, the elevator ‘ride’ down the building, assuming we see the fall in real time, it takes about 45 seconds to go from the 100th floor to the final cave. Using a free fall calculator because I’m too lazy to actually do the math, I find that the fall is about 10,000 meters (about 33,000 feet). If you take a rough estimate of a floor being 3 meters (10 feet) tall, which is somewhat standard for many buildings, Empire Porky Building is about 1000 feet or 300 meters. Even if you say a floor is closer to 20 or 30 feet, which is more realistic to what Porky would want, you’re still looking at, at most, 3000 feet or 900 meters in height. So basically, unless the assumptions I make are wrong (which they very much might be), Locria’s needle is _really_ far under the ground, even considering the ridiculous height of the Empire Porky Building. I suppose it’s nothing new, but I guess there’s some numbers to it.
Porky's logic kind of reminds me of Kefka's from Final Fantasy VI. I mean, both of them are villains because they lost hope for the world and its people's foolish actions, and they both want to pull the plug on the world in the most exciting way possible to sate their boredom.
In terms of all time great villains Porky is second only to Kefka. Kefka did manage to destroy the planet, but not quite kill the hope that people had. In the end, like Paula's Prayer, Hope is what really enables finishing off Kefka.

Well Porky was bad person yes I've played Earthbound before and he actually turned bad after Ness got Porky back home so I would imagine that Ness probably didn't defeat giygas completely
So many old friends appear for the finale. They knew of the danger ahead, and that they needed to stop it. I like that- how old friends such as Alec and Wess appear, and they know there’s a battle ahead.
This, I believe, is the first video I ever saw of Mother 3. Far before I knew of the Mother series, it remained in my mind, idle, till I heard of Ness from Earthbound. I was intrigued, as like most others, found him from playing SSBU, but unlike all the other generic sword fighter characters I heard of from series I didn't know, this boy intrigued me. He was just a child with a cartoony look. I didn't understand, so I wanted to know more, but once again kept it idle. A while before, I had randomly checked out what Earthbound was on my SNES mini. On first impressions, I was confused, and let it sit still. Putting two things together, I remembered that the main character from that series looked exactly like the one from SSBU. I picked the game up again, and my love for JRPG games started, primarily my love for this series. Thankyou for this video, and for causing my curious confusion to learn about this series that changed my life, even if you never read the comments, and this video is 15 years old. Thankyou.
Very late, he wasn't brainwashed at all, Giygas' influence made him delve into his darker traits and at the end of EarthBound, he became even worse than Giygas
Giygas is the personification of evil with no mind, while Porky is an evil genius and dictator bent on destroying everybody in existence because they don’t like him. Porky is a also much more realistic threat because real sociopaths like him care not for others feelings but are secretly very insecure. They will pursue an endless hunger for content and when you combine that with immortality the fury only grows… THAT is why he is one of the scariest threats in the Mother universe.
i dunno how he did. but he just feel in the capsule spider thing and live on forever. even the end of mother 3 he was a the absolute safe capsule. he would still live when the earth end in 5.5 million years. scary but werid.
@tomatosanimation Porky Minch time traveled, and brought people from many different eras and brought them to this time period to build his empire. Look up Leder's speech on RUclips.
Both Giygas and Porky hate humans with a passion due to pass events(George stealing PSI/abandoning him, Porky's abusive parents/Ness not forgiving him). Porky's case is kind of more interesting as he is human himself.
It sickens me to the core that after all teh suffering he caused, after all the pain he committed, admitting it was out of pure boredom and no great plan or anything, and then has the gull to ask for PITY. This shit is why hes on my list of truly contemptible characters.
Meanwhile in Europe, none of the earthbound game were released... And people complain about mother 3 in America while we never get to play to mother 1 or 2
Porky kinda reminds me of a mix of both Joffrey Baratheon and book Euron Greyjoy. They're all twisted, power hungry fucking beasts in human skin, however.
So thats what Porky does next after he teleported to a different era to think about his next plan so this his next plan after 11 years since Earthbound
I wonder what his plan originally looked like in the Nintendo 64 version or what would it look like in mother 4 he will probably be a cyborg or something or a new body i don't know
Dude this the 3rd version of the game and shigisato itoi the creator of the game series decided to bring pokey Minch back, man the Japanese make some decisions.
+elijah jackson during the final battle against giygas in earthbound, porky wasn't defeated. he just got scared of giygas's true form and teleported away 200 years into the future (that's why he's in mother 3). Ness and his friends eventually defeat giygas and go back home.
I have genuine reason to believe that nicknaming him Porky was inspired or influenced by Looney Tunes. It's a name obvious taken from the world famous Warner Bros character Porky Pig.

DarkMario9000 He had the power of time travel because his mecha spider had a built in time machine. Obviously, he survived the Dark Dragon, but he's not getting out of that capsule. After all, it's absolutely safe.
I'm a bit confused, isn't Andonuts (sorry if I spelled wrong) Jeff's last name? But I'm sure its not the same. I've not played M3 but I know a bit of the story here and there.
Daniel Saldívar There's no proof to that. Lloyd and Andonuts are totally different characters. And yes, Andonuts is Jeff's last name, but unlike some people speculate, the Andonuts in this game isn't Jeff. Porky time-travelled to a different timeline and kidnapped Andonuts and the Mr. Saturns to the planet they're now in, just like he brainwashed people from that time period to become pigmasks.
Just a little fyi on japanese culture. The "spankety x3" is an infamous immature one liner usually done by kids; it's "oshiri-pen-pen" which translates to "here's my butt spank spank" which is similar to "kiss my a$$"

And to think that everything started just because Ness didn't answer his request of being his friend Funnily enough Ness didn't answer cuz he is a mute character
i don't think he's mute, i'm pretty sure you just don't see him speak, even though it's implied that he does. there could be number of reasons he didn't say anything, but it's not that. he literally talks in smash
Nothing did Porky wrong
And wrong did nothing Porky
Also, did Porky wrong nothing
Might I add, Porky nothing did wrong.
Wrong nothing did porky
In conclusion, Wrong Porky Nothing Did!
The many reasons porky was the way he was is. 1: the way he was raised. 2: The staue. 3: Giygas.
Nah, ele sempre foi assim, essas coisas só deram um pequeno empurram pra ele virar isso.
I hate everything....
+Masked Man Claus Why???!
Because, I hate everything...
Everything?!!! No that's so boring!
But, I like young ladies....
Ooh, that is amazing!
Well Porky was bad person yes I've played Earthbound before and he actually turned bad after Ness got Porky back home so I would imagine that Ness probably didn't defeat giygas completely
Ridley... your far evil.. er.
Ness defeated Giygas, but Porky continued being evil afterwards, probably because he got bored after 1,000+ years of time traveling.
So many old friends appear for the finale. They knew of the danger ahead, and that they needed to stop it. I like that- how old friends such as Alec and Wess appear, and they know there’s a battle ahead.
S M A A A A A A A S H!!
PORKY 4 SMASH
The safe capsule it's a Spirit in Smash Ultimate... But theres no Porky, so...
Oh no...
@@blueknightskeleton8424 So is porky....
Oh man
This, I believe, is the first video I ever saw of Mother 3.
Thankyou.
Well Porky was a good kid, but a cosmic horror alien called Giygas brainwashed him, then he traveled in time and now he is the evil king.
Very late, he wasn't brainwashed at all, Giygas' influence made him delve into his darker traits and at the end of EarthBound, he became even worse than Giygas
ALL HAIL ME
...
Hello, fatass.
No stfu fat boi
NEEVEEEEEEER!!!!!!
HAIL KING P!
The Duster face at 4:31 makes me laugh xD
4:31
In my opinion Porky is scarier than Giygas
5.5 *BILLION* years
Porky in his spider robot thingy for Smash!
Swap the mame pokey for Kim jong-un.
They are pretty similar
It's a little bit weird him not mencionate about Ness and his friends, or even Giygas
Brazilian Soldier maybe he is the “great hero” he spoke of?
@tomatosanimation Porky Minch time traveled, and brought people from many different eras and brought them to this time period to build his empire. Look up Leder's speech on RUclips.
I only just realised “no problem here” in deltarune is an earthbound reference.
@tomatosanimation Yes most likely. Pokey time traveled as clearly stated. This is set in another time era. Pokey kidnapped him.
no, in this version, his name is porkey. the pokey from earthboun was a slight mistranslation.
Both Giygas and Porky hate humans with a passion due to pass events(George stealing PSI/abandoning him, Porky's abusive parents/Ness not forgiving him). Porky's case is kind of more interesting as he is human himself.
1:30 that orch hit was so perfectly timed
Porky Did nothing wrong
Trump said nothing wrong
true
DoctorMario606 This was truly ness's fault...
Sergio Juarez It was Pokeys fault for losing his brother
The Mexican president did nothing wrong
God that music creeps me out
Oh My God.
It sickens me to the core that after all teh suffering he caused, after all the pain he committed, admitting it was out of pure boredom and no great plan or anything, and then has the gull to ask for PITY.
This shit is why hes on my list of truly contemptible characters.
Porky!
Why won't Nintendo release this in America? Well... just LOOK at it!
Abuse of time travel
Flint:PORKY!?
Porky:FLINT!?
Flint(ness):no im ness
Porky:oh
So thats what Porky does next after he teleported to a different era to think about his next plan so this his next plan after 11 years since Earthbound
This wasn't 11 years after Earthbound, this is 200 years after
I know I actually talk about EarthBound’s release in 1995 and Mother 3 in 2006
I wonder what his plan originally looked like in the Nintendo 64 version or what would it look like in mother 4 he will probably be a cyborg or something or a new body i don't know
Noone has ever mentioned this, but in porky's lair, did you hear a sound effect that sounded hollow? 0:01
If you listen to "It is finished"..
Yay, Porky!
The point of no return
Jotaro and Co meet Eyes Over Heaven Dio
Dude this the 3rd version of the game and shigisato itoi the creator of the game series decided to bring pokey Minch back, man the Japanese make some decisions.
He's just built different
OH SHUT IT!!
So if porky lived what happened to ness and his friends?
+elijah jackson during the final battle against giygas in earthbound, porky wasn't defeated. he just got scared of giygas's true form and teleported away 200 years into the future (that's why he's in mother 3). Ness and his friends eventually defeat giygas and go back home.
I said What Happened to Ness and his friends!
they lived and defeated giygas and eventually died?
+elijah jackson They're most likely dead in this timeline.
+Karkat vantas you are right!!!!
I have genuine reason to believe that nicknaming him Porky was inspired or influenced by Looney Tunes. It's a name obvious taken from the world famous Warner Bros character Porky Pig.
Porky in earthbound 2 be like
Lore of mother 3 porky momentum 100
Does this mean porky is stronger than giygas?
No
This doorknob seems familiar...
Rip doorknob... I meAn flint
I cannot get what that doorknob is supposed to represent at this point of the game. It is still bothering me after all this years. -_-
@@franciscoj.marambioalvarez9132 When there is a fire, the guy (I forgot his name) pulls off Flints doorknob in panic. Then there are about 10 easter eggs about it in the game. In the credits you see the doorknob still fine
Cool!
*PK DISCOMFORT*
wow nice ^^, just found it in a modulator here, well at least I think it is MOther 3, but decide to start with Mother (NES) since I got the SNES version (original, and I know they are not cheap lol) but don't feel like playing it soon before knowing the truth beginning
Wow 11 years
Why dose the theme here sound diffirent then in I am porky like...
On here I am porky sounds different then in a video to I am porky.
Ness? Oooohhhhhh I thought you meant Wess.
Patrick you're fired.
Why do I hear a chicken ?
I think that happens when a egg you're carring turns into a chicken...
4:26
Doctor Andonuts?
Yeah.
Whats the name of that soundtrack
Wait wait if Porky have the power of time travel maybe Porky after the release of the Dark Dragon(i think) still's alive in another era and maybe out of the Absolutely safe cage(i think)
DarkMario9000 He had the power of time travel because his mecha spider had a built in time machine. Obviously, he survived the Dark Dragon, but he's not getting out of that capsule. After all, it's absolutely safe.
I like pokey as a better name do some reason and I wish mother 3 had events after the events of earthbound like starmen for example
I meant some reason
78shaweyes starmans are the fighters of giygas, who got destroyed after earthbound
I'have fear with Porky....
I'm a bit confused, isn't Andonuts (sorry if I spelled wrong) Jeff's last name? But I'm sure its not the same. I've not played M3 but I know a bit of the story here and there.
i don't really mind spoilers, also don't have really anything for me to play it so it's alright
but thanks for the explanation
Candywolfa The Furry The doctor from this game is Jeff. His father was the doctor from earthbound and Lloyd from mother.
Daniel Saldívar
There's no proof to that. Lloyd and Andonuts are totally different characters. And yes, Andonuts is Jeff's last name, but unlike some people speculate, the Andonuts in this game isn't Jeff. Porky time-travelled to a different timeline and kidnapped Andonuts and the Mr. Saturns to the planet they're now in, just like he brainwashed people from that time period to become pigmasks.
whataver Hush my child.. Let us believe in what we want to believe.
Well in the game it explains porky brought people to the nowhere islands from eagleland including the pigmask army AND Jeff's dad
Just a little fyi on japanese culture. The "spankety x3" is an infamous immature one liner usually done by kids; it's "oshiri-pen-pen" which translates to "here's my butt spank spank" which is similar to "kiss my a$$"
Is it just me but does this kinda give off jjba vibes, ness and porky are pretty much enemies since they were children then dio goes into the coffin aka porky having immorality and coming back for the next part of the game
Speaking of which, Lucas and Claus could very well be future descendants of Ness considering they are virtually identical to him.
