I’ve had SPANX Seamless Higher Power Short - Lightweight, Comfortable Fit - Core Control Shapewear - High-Waisted for about 10 years. I love them. I sized up and they have been perfect for so many occasions. Definitely get the “shorts” version though. Thank for the video! We’re taking our very first cruise this year and am doing all the research.
I loved the video and made a mental note for when I pack for my next cruise! To prevent chafing I use a chafing stick and Maidenform makes some good shape wear. Loved all the dresses! Thanks for the video because it really is so helpful and I will definitely be making a few purchases for my next trip!
Use a Mr. Clean magic eraser on that suit case and you'll get those scuff right off of there. It looks like a shiny finish so that should make it even easier. I have a really nice set of Samsonite white luggage that looks like carbon fiber and they still look like new with the help of Mr. Clean. 😄
Taos Footwear has amazing arch support…leather & canvas options & lots of colors. I have friends that like Ecco for slight arch support. good luck, it can be a little challenging finding the right support.
I don't do shape wear but I do the bike style shorts under all dresses and skirts. And they usually have a pucket on the thigh. I order them from amazon
While not “shapewear” Snag chub rub shorts are brilliant, they don’t suck you in and are breathable. (I live in Tropical Queensland Australia) I believe they are available in the US. The slightly longer length do not roll up, I have tried the shorter ones and have had the occasional problem so stick to the longer ones. I love them under dresses and tend to colour coordinate them with the dress. 😃
Replacement option for your backpack: Takeoff luggage makes luggage that becomes personal item size when you take the wheels off. This would allow you to avoid weight on your back while also being able to slide it under the airplane seat
Oh about the undergarment for your dress- I just use bike shorts- there are all kinds of expensive shapewear options, but bike shorts are cheap and you can get them in all kinds of colors to go with your dresses. Since bike shorts are typically made for exercise, they are more breathable than a lot of the shapewear options out there too!
being a fellow shortie, shapewear is HARD! It's not proportioned right at all. I sew a lot of my own clothes, but shapewear requires specialty fabric. I'm interested in seeing what you end up with
There are also “anti-chafe” sticks (looks like underarm deodorant packages) if you don’t like to wear shapewear or ‘boy’ shorts under dresses. Also good for shorter shorts to keep your legs from chafing. Edit: saw others comment on this.
@@CruiseTipsTV they both look great but they are larger in at least one dimension than the 22x14x9 - I think they are international size though. We’ll be flying Alaska Air next year and I understand they are really strict. Our old luggage was called carry on years ago but won’t go this year.
Thigh society. They aren't shape wear, but they will save you from the thigh rub & they have a version, the cooling, that don't make you sweat. I have several pairs & wear them all the time. Totally worth the price IMHO.
Thigh Society, they have all lengths of bike short type underwear. They don’t roll up at the waist, and they have some that are very thin for summer. Bye bye thigh chafing.

I'm so glad you found this video helpful - you'll have a wonderful time on your first cruise! I’ll get the spanx
I wear jockey slipshorts they are not shapewear. They don't roll down and they are perfect
I wear the jockey slip shorts too
Same. I love the wide waistband too.
Another vote for jockey slipshorts
Love the video! Packing and unpacking content is my favorite from you!
You're so welcome! It's my favorite type of content to create, too!
Love this so much! Thanks Sheri! 🎄❄️❤️❤️💚💚🌨️🎅🏻🎁🎁🎁❄️💚💚🎅🏻☃️☃️❤️❄️🎄🎄❄️❄️🎄
Fitflop sneakers and sandals are the best! And Jockey slip shorts for comfort and to prevent chafing
Have you tried Shapermint undergarments? They’re great, and reasonably priced.
No plans for Dubai but I still loved video. The truthfulness of things that didn’t work is refreshing. Again thanks!
You're so welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

So glad you found it helpful! I need to get a chafing stick! Any brands you like???
@ I use body glide and find it works well
Gold Bond makes a great stick.
Biking shorts work well too.
I don’t wear shapewear under dresses in the heat. I use body glide. Haven’t had an issue in 20 years

Great tip - I'll have to try that!
Jockey Slip Shorts! They’re great. I’ve bought them on Amazon and at Target. I’ve used other brands as well, but I think the Jockey are my favorite.
Love it!!!
Wool& roam bike shorts are the absolute best for chafing issues, they breath , regulate your temp and don’t smell bad!
Thanks for the tip! I’ll have to check them out.
Merry Christmas happy holidays Sheri!!❤️❤️❄️🎄❄️❄️☃️☃️❄️❤️💚💚💚💚🎁🌨️🌨️☃️🎄❄️❄️🎅🏻🎅🏻🎁🎁🎁🎁
Happy holidays!
I wear Thigh Society. Excellent brand.
I second the jockey slip shorts. I hate shapewear because I hate feeling squashed. The Jockey slip shorts are so comfortable.
Macys sells great shape wear!!!
Taos Footwear has amazing arch support…leather & canvas options & lots of colors. I have friends that like Ecco for slight arch support. good luck, it can be a little challenging finding the right support.
I need to check out Taos Footwear! Thanks for the tip!
I love my white leather Taos! I’m a 60 yr old teacher and they are supportive and don’t hurt my bunion either. Eccos do hurt my feet
I don't do shape wear but I do the bike style shorts under all dresses and skirts. And they usually have a pucket on the thigh. I order them from amazon
That’s a great tip, thank you!
Do you recommend a particular brand?
I highly recommended Birkenstock sandals. The arch support is awesome. I can walk all day in comfort. Trendy too.
Birkenstocks are a great choice for cruising!
Another vote for bike shorts! My favorites are the Mondetta brand from Costco (when the have them)
Nicole - 4forAdventure
Thank you so much! GREAT suggestion to check costco!!!!!!!!!!!

I have these in the uk they are excellent.i have several pairs

Shapermint has some light weight shorts with pockets and different colors
Wow! Those must be some ultra-comfortable jeans in order to wear them on flights!
Yep, they're my favorites to wear on flights!
I always fly in jeans. Super comfortable
I love thigh society. Prevents chaffing, helps when there is sweat problems, and some styles are more shaping. It's more expensive but SO WORTH IT!
That is such a great tip! Will buy!!!
@@CruiseTipsTV they are also not shapewear, clingy, but no binding at all. I wear their “cooling” ones lol year long.
being a fellow shortie, shapewear is HARD! It's not proportioned right at all. I sew a lot of my own clothes, but shapewear requires specialty fabric. I'm interested in seeing what you end up with
It is so hard to find shapewear that works for us!
Jackie Skimmies are a must to prevent chaffing
Try chub rub patches!!
That's a great idea! I've never tried those, but I should!
try some arch support insoles in those cute shoes
I will! They’re so cute

Snag tights chub rubs aren’t really shapewear just a buttery soft, thin and smooth layer
You should try Vionic tennies.
Yes! Vionic shoes are awesome if you have low arches. I really wat their white sneakers but I need a sale! Lol
I agree! Almost all my shoes are now Vionics. But you can also get orthopedic inserts to use in your old favorites
I wear biker shorts - they are thin and comfortable. I do have some shape wear but I don’t wear it unless I absolutely have to 😂
I always wear shape wear or shorts under dresses ..for your reason and also you never know when the wind will work against you
You’re so right, it’s always better to be prepared!
Hi Sheri, I’m about your height. What size did you get in the new black dress? Thanks!
Hi! A medium and it’s just perfect!!!
Do you have links or full names for the luggage please?

I wear the Knix brand thigh saver. They are amazing, super lightweight and you feel like you have nothing on.
That sounds amazing - I will have to look into that!
Amazon has Jockey Women's Shapewear Skimmies Ultralight Smoothing Seamfree Cooling No-Chafe Slipshort-AMAZING with any dress I wear while vacationing.
Do you have to have most of your dresses hemmed? I’m 5’ 1” and everything is too long for me.
Usually no but I do wear edge sandals and that gives me a few inches!
Knix makes amazing shapewear
Hi
Thigh society. They aren't shape wear, but they will save you from the thigh rub & they have a version, the cooling, that don't make you sweat. I have several pairs & wear them all the time. Totally worth the price IMHO.
That is such a great tip, thank you!
I wear either biking shorts or the boy short style shape wear underneath my long dresses.
Spray dry deodorant to the inner thighs works like a charm.
See if your favorite sneakers have a removable inner sole and get new arch support inserts. Try bike shorts; they did't roll down on the waist for me.
Thank you for the tip, I've never thought about bike shorts!
Thigh Society, they have all lengths of bike short type underwear. They don’t roll up at the waist, and they have some that are very thin for summer. Bye bye thigh chafing.
