I read after the show that the Golden Globes people made them gave a special award with Jack Lemon's name on it, so he gave back Ving's award. They both got theirs.
That is hands down the best moment of any award show. Jack Lemmon inspires so many people with his work even though he's passed on. Vingh Rhames is a wonderful man for doing that.

I remember Ving playing Kevin Kline's bodyguard in that 1-derful movie 'Dave'; in a scene he tells Kevin's character that he would have taken a bullet for him, even knowing Dave was not the real president. And after seeing this I have no doubt that he is a great human being, God Bless him !
I remember seeing this live on TV and here now, That a dry eye in the house , This just shows you that kind of character and brilliance of Actor ving rhames, Most actors never do this if you go back in history I think it's only happened one other time other than that it just shows the man's great character and love and Passion for acting and that a simple trophy doesn't quite do Justice to what a real person feels and does for their craft. And giving the award to Jack Lemmon was and says all of how Ving rhames is As an Actor a performer but most of all a person and deep inside a person's soul and heart. I watch every movie with this man in it because of this particular award ceremony. Ving rhames you're the best and an unforgettable moment of generosity. Of course the Academy did give Jack Lemmon A secondary award with his name on it and they did give the original award back to Ving rhames. What to think of the Passion and generosity it takes for people to do that is simply incredible and unheard of even today.
