  • Monday morning me and Cane had an awesome time hiking "The Waterfalls Trail", a section of the Sheltowee Trace out and back to Vanhook Falls.. Pounder Branch and it's tributaries are loaded with waterfalls and cascades, some just along the trail and some farther off-trail.. We hiked the Sheltowee Trace passing some smaller falls and cascades until we reached Lava Falls.. From there we headed off-trail down into the Pounder Gorge to see some of the hidden falls, Pounder Falls and Pounder Gorge Falls.. After checking out those falls we continued downstream along Pounder Branch, passing another falls I never knew about, until we found a scramble up the cliffside and rejoined the Sheltowee Trace.. From there we followed the trail, crossing two footbridges, out to Vanhook Falls.. After relaxing at Vanhook for a bit, we hiked back out along the Sheltowee Trace back to the trailhead.. Thankfully we had the whole area to ourselves and had incredible flow on all the falls, making it a great day out chasing falling water 🤙

Gonna have to return to your video with some rain, that trail is absolutely insane. I will be going down into the gorge next time! I saw where you'd said you came back up to the trail while we were walking today, mental note made! Thanks for this video again, David!@@thelifeofdavid859
