Hi David! LOVED this hike!! Such Beauty! My granny used to live at the very end/bottom of Brushy Fork / Byrd. How was the road going down there? About 5 years ago the sheriff said it was all rutted out and impassible for regular cars. Did you find my great uncles still in any of those cubbies?

I've been to Eagle Point Buttress a few times, but only once via the Douglas Trail. It's hard on an old guy's knees. That hike along the top ridge to the Osborne Bend trail is a bit of an adventure itself. Kudos on finding the Copperhead. I keep looking for them, but have yet to see one. I might be in the minority, but snakes just fascinate me.

That cave really doesn't go too far...ends up to a big sink hole. Lots of layers and a little water fall ....it's been awhile
