Great video. I design books for a living. Most novels are very simple as far as layout goes and I have found Pages to be an ideal replacement for Word. If you need more functionality, there are some rather complete word processors in the app store. Pages is a great way to go because it gives tou most features writers need. That said, most writers writong for legitimate publishers only need to create plain text documents.

A friendly suggestion: do a breakdown of the content in the menu would be super useful. Its discouraging to try and look for a single function you might have explained here. Basically you’d gain more views and likes bc you dont have to see the entire video. I didn’t see it for this reason

I couldn’t figure out header and footer when I used an iPad . The rectangles never popped up. It’s not three weird on a MacBook or iMac . I couldnt figure out print preview either . So disappointing
This was a very useful video although it did not share what I was looking for. I wanted to know how to add documents from other sources to your pages. There are times the information is subdued and it will not save. Is there a certain format that needs to be used I order to save content ?

Please make a Pages tutorial on how to make a flyer or postcard like the real estate postcard template. I am having difficulty making multiple pictures the same size. As well as the border lines in between each picture or text box the same size and lining everything up. I noticed in your video the yellow guidelines show up on the outside edge as well as the center. Mine only shows up on the center. I’m not sure if I have a setting not quite right.
Just wondering if you can help me, I’ve written my CV in pages and I can’t get my grades to line up; there either too much to the left or too much to the right, let me know if you can help ✌🏼

Great video helping me get back into Pages after a long absence. However, I have no Password protect under More tab, and I need it. Just updated to iPad iOS 16. Could that be the problem?
I have created a my first page being the cover page for my book, but when I move to the second page, the design of the first page continues to the second, which I don’t want. I want to design each page differently, can you please let me know how I can do that.

Tutorial is great but I still can’t rename my files. When I use the rename option I get, “this operation couldn’t be completed because the feature is not supported” Apple just says ‘use the rename tool”… Have you come across this issue?
Great tutorial regarding Pages. I was not aware that you can do all these good stuff with pages. I've always used MS word and excel due to our company standards. I’ve been trying to upload my book to Amazon, but I was told that its too many blank pages at the end of my manuscript. It’s about 13 empty pages!!! I want to delete the blank pages but I really don’t know how!! Can U help me?
Nice tutorial but there’s no instructions on how to delete that last blank page that automatically generates (when importing images, one per page) Every page excluding end page can be individually deleted; last page when tapped, selects all pages!
i’m using pages for ipad… how do i change pages to be imperial instead of metric for document setup? (i have my ipad set to imperial and have deleted + re-installed pages)
Excellent presentation on Pages on iPad. I have only 1 minor problem with headings and subheadings. I have created a long text document and I am using 2 different colours in subheadings in the option ‘Gradient’. If the subheading is only 1 line sentence it is fine but if it goes onto 2 lines the colour completely changes on the 2nd line into plain colour. I have also tried in a table but with no luck. I hope you can help me. Thank you and king regards.

Mathew, I was following along with your tutorial until I got to the drop cap options, my pages app’s drop down menu does not have this selections under text. What version are you using as a demo?

I finally figured out how to edit an incorrect title on a document in Pages on my ipad; there is a faint little arrow next to the title on my home page. Ie. (TITLE v) This gives you a drop down menu with action options for your document. Hope this helps someone else; I could find no utube video addressing this process on the ipad, without sorting through your entire beginners video for ‘Pages on IPad.”

When setting up table I Cannot set the height of a row less than 0,71 cm on a iPad. It’s very frustrating. On the Mac it can be done. Anyone know how to fix this problem?

when i move the cursor on a word, a top manual will pop up, like fonts, highlight,…. Sometimes it is annoying. Can I switch it off?

I have a Zagg keyboard, it is part of a heavy duty Ipad case ad it is wonderful. Got it at Best Buy.
