We used to play a game called "Bullsh*t" that is a lot like this. It's played with a normal deck of cards, no extras. Each person plays the next number/face card in order. If you think someone is lying, you call BS on them. If you call them, you have to flip the cards to see if they were lying. If they were telling the truth, you have to take all of the cards in the pile. If they were lying, they take the pile. Winner is the first to empty their hand. Don't think I'd wanna play with the Russian Roulette aspect of the game. XD
Toast, the content that separates yours from the rest are your relaxed explanations in the beginning so that your audience knows what’s going on and I always appreciate those.
Wym I’ve seen several RUclipsrs explain how a game works before jumping to the video or do you mean like the way he explains it? Cus I guess he gives a little more detail but it isn’t that much more
Learned a lot from Toast's first person view. Basically he doesn't call anybody's card and play safe when there are 3-4 players. Other players on the table like to call each other out a lot. When they don't call early enough and toast runs out of safe cards, he will talk and trick other people to call the cards so he doesn't have to. During 1-v-1, toast will have to rely on luck more so he may lose more during this phase. He still has really great strategy can afford to lose 1-2 more rounds. I think as other people learn to call each other less at the beginning, Toast will not be so OP any more.
I was hoping to see a game with Toast sitting to the right of Sykkuno. Would Toast let him get away with it more or still keep his safe strategy of not calling when everyone is still alive? Sykkuno’s aggressive strategy usually leads to both him and the person right of him having to take shots.
I mean the game is pretty simple. Calling is bad because it means you're the one taking a chance when it could just be someone else instead. Other than that it's pretty much just blind luck assuming everyone in the game is smart enough to do random strategies.
Yeah it’s a solid strategy, calling a player out immediately puts you in the line of fire so it’s not something you’d want to do very often. He also quite often just plays 1-card hands which increase the number of “truthful” hands he can typically play, meaning he’s more protected from being called out too. He definitely picked up the right strats pretty quickly but that’s no surprise.
@@srigen1026 The game only looks like blind luck when you don't know how to play well. Look up youtubers like anthonyontv. He mains the pig and has made a ton of tutorials on the game showing how to win more often than not.

I used to play a version of this game with my cousins irl when our parents weren’t around, except it was Liar’s Dice and the guns were BB guns (we wore protective clothing to avoid any serious injuries but they definitely still hurt though). One time one of my older cousins decided to play and she lost immediately, then she jokingly aimed the gun at her head and pulled the trigger, after a few seconds of no reaction she immediately winced in pain (she had no protection on her head, she thought that the guns were procs and that the gun would just make a noise if it was “the bullet”). Needless to say we got found out afterwards since she told them everything so they took away my other cousin’s BB guns and there went our fun, we played the game again at a family gathering around 10 months ago but instead of BBs we used scotch whiskey and soda but we all admitted that it didn’t feel the same.
he stays quiet and doesnt call BS on anyone. (Until he has to). When he also convinces others to call BS. either harming themselves or the other player. When he plays heads up he tries to play his hand. But if his hand is shit then he will call BS before somone can call BS on him.
Game theory time... so they're 20 cards total - 6 queens, 6 kings, 6 aces and 2 jokers. With 4 players on the table, the probability of somebody lying increases drastically after the 8th card. Therefore, it's better to lie early and play real cards later because it's easier to call out lies the longer the game goes. At a table with 3 players or less on the table, the probability goes away because no one actually knows what cards are in play as 5 are now discarded. In this instance, it's better to play 1-2 cards at a time as it gives you more leverage to either be lying or telling the truth. This is especially truer if you're playing 1v1 because let's say you only have 1 truthful card out of the 5. Playing only 1 card at a time makes it harder for the opponent to predict if you're lying or not because the odds are 6/20 for telling the truth. It also becomes harder for the opponent to call because even if they held all the cards (as in all 5 cards in their hand are playable), there is still the probability you have the 6th playable care and now becomes a matter of guessing when you would play the card. But if the opponent had all the cards and you played even 2 cards, there's no need to guess as there is 0 probability for there to be 7 playable cards. Just my 2 cents about this game.
The funny thing about a strat like this. It only works if people don't realize it works. Once people start lying early because "its better" then that's when you're likely to get called out. Games like this have a meta in every group, and knowing the meta, you can play to counter it. Which then becomes the meta. And so on, it just kinda balances itself out.

I see how you try to justify Toast saying 20%, but it makes 0 sense in a russian roulette scenario unless you take out the bullet and put it randomly in one chamber slot that is not the one that you just fired. If you play it unlike the characters depicted on screen play it, so with barell spin, you you would still get 1/6 chance on your second try, so the probability of getting hit in 2 shots is about 31%. If you play it without the barell roll, you get about 33%, so you are correct about that.
Chance for death at second shot: 5/6*1/5=1/6 If you mean within the first 2 shots, only the would it be 1/3. Every empty shot doesn't increase the odds by 1/6 to die with the next shot. For the first one 16,7% then 20%, 25%, 33,3%, 50% 100% The increase by 16,67% is only for when you are talking about chance for death within the first x shots.
