    **********************CORRECTIONS***********************
DO NOT CUT THE MAGNET. There is a lacquer seal border around the edge of the magnet that prevents degradation from resin. If you do cut your magnet, it will still function as intended, but may have reduced extended longevity according to the manufacturer. I have been using it for some time with no sign of degradation as of yet, but it is better to be safe than sorry.
    Thanks Everyone!

Congratulations for being the best channel to explain Photon M3 Max.

Thank you so much! That's honestly part of why I started making these videos. I was searching for videos like this while I was learning how to use the M3 Max, but I found that content surrounding this printer is hard to find or incomplete. I'm glad I'm able to fill the void a bit and provide some helpful information to anyone who needs it! :)

@@nicknacks3d I think a video in which you describe your print settings and the resins you have used so far would be very useful, frankly I had a lot of problems with the values given by the manufacturers.

Fantastic video! a few points to mention : each kit comes with a small pack of extra screws, make sure to look in the bottom of your box In case they fell to the bottom before throwing away packaging. Also note, it’s best not to trim the magnet if you could help it because there is a lacquer border around the whole magnet to seal it to prevent degradation from resin. Your kit should still work fine, but this will help with longevity. However, it was a truly accurate and well documented process. Thank you.

Thank you so much for the additional information. I did not know about the lacquer boarder. I learned to cut the magnet from another 3D print artist's video on a similar product. Part of why I made this video, is that there was not a lot of information on this configuration of printer here on RUclips. Hoping I can be that voice. Thank you for correcting the record, I'll make a correction comment post so hopefully people will see it before cutting their own. Seems like it won't be a serious mistake, but one that should be avoided if possible. Thank you for correcting the record. I will check my box again because I do still have it back at my studio, but I do not believe there were any screws included in either of the two XTR flex plates I have installed. I appreciate the interaction and the encouragement, many thanks!

Why are there no videos for the photon m3? I see a ton for the max but not for just the m3?

Can you review on the printing speed of the m3 max? There are so many complaints about its slower speed compared to Anycubic ad (60mm/h). It seems you have other resin printers, so comparing the speed would be helpful. Thanks.

2:33 - This is NOT how you align the magnet, you should align the other end of the magnet, the exposed adhesive is the LAST thing to go down. 2:39 - At that point, you should check the alignment of the rest of the magnet before peeling anymore paper. Also, you MUST wait the 72 hours for the magnet adhesive to cure, if you don't, it will separate. It's almost like you didn't watch the WhamBam video at all.

I am pretty clear about NEEDING to wait the 72 hours to ensure adhesion. Also, I do recommend double checking the alignment before peeling. The method you are describing for alignment might present better results and I appreciate your suggestion. I got my information by watching all the Wham Bam videos available as well as other content creators. There were potential bad habits I picked up from these other creators and I seek to correct them. My video is certainly not the end-all-be-all of this installation process, though I will continue to strive for perfection in the future, but I assure you I did my research. Thanks

Just installed my magnet, and I have to agree, it would be better to line up the magnet using the wider edge as opposed to the narrower edge. If you use the narrow edge to align the magnet (like in the video) you have a higher chance of your magnet being slightly misaligned once it's stuck on.. either way still one of the best videos on this subject.
Using the narrow edge to attach the flexible build plate is better than using the wider side though.

@@DifferentAverage What you do is peal back an inch of the backing, then place the entire magnet on the plate, but don't let the pealed back part stick to the plate. Align the entire magnet, hold, then stick down the pealed back part, then work your way down. This is shown clearly in the WhamBam videos.

Thanks for the quick response! I used the official instructions and got mine to go on pretty straight.
In hindsight, I kind of prefer the way that Kiki Kannon does the installation in her video. She squares the magnet and removes the backing paper by going from the wide Edge at the bottom of the build plate to the wide Edge at the top of the build plate.
Seems like the longer edge of the plate is better to use for squaring the magnet than the narrow ends of the build plate they advise younto start at. just an observation though, could be wrong.
