- I've always wanted to try these pedals out and was able to get my hands on some this week. I brought them out to Piedmont and Spirit Mountain in Duluth for their maiden voyage. I really like how these pedals feel and function so far. I will be doing a long term review down the road, so stay tuned!
I might try these to avoid the pedal strikes, I am looking to keep my love for jumping with the stability of the flats and the attachment of clipless.
Just reviewed these myself and put out a video. You nailed it. I could not agree more and came to the same conclusion. I love that they offer the best of both worlds. Nice video!
I appreciate it! I can't wait to try the new pedals soon.
Nice, I'm a beginner triathlon biker, this looks a lot safer than clip in pedals! Thank's for the video!👌🚲
Waiting on a pair of these to get delivered to me. I have been riding Crank Bro Candy pedals for a few years and I hate the issues I've had getting out of the clips when I need to. Hopefully these will help me find a better combination of staying on the pedals and the ability to get out of the quickly. Great video!
Thanks! There is a slight learning curve to these pedals, but not nearly as bad as clipless. One thing you'll probably notice the most is the fact you cant pull up on the pedal as much as clipless. Hopefully you like them!
I am considering these pedals mostly because I want to get into jumps. I was mostly an xc rider for the past 10 years with clipless pedals.
although I understand the technique, I find it hard to keep my feet stuck to the pedals with flat shoes when I am in the air and that makes my landing dangerous.
I hope these pedals would help
which should i go with? 200N or 150N?
I would do 200N to decrease the chances of your feet coming off mid air.
Appreciate the video. I’ve seen these and they intrigue me a lot.
I think another (slight) negative is the fact you have to buy new shoes if you don’t have the proper ones.
I’d give these a call but just bought new pair of FiveTens (flats) last month so not wanting to buy another pair
Very good point! My clipless shoes were just laying around which was part of the reason I pulled the trigger on these. It's a big investment if you don't already have the shoes
That's cool. Clever idea.
Thanks for the info, how do you set up the pins? i copied the set up as recommended, but it did not feel stable!!
I set up the pins so that the whole outside, front, and back had pins in them
Thanks appreciate the review. Don’t they make these with a 30 pound magnet and a 50 pound? If so which one did you have?
I belive these are the 30 pound magnets. I bought them second hand, so I'm not entirely sure.
Are you able to change the pins for better ones?
I am currently looking into that
What is frame of the bike?
Salsa Cassidy
Hustle Labs version FTW
I'd love to try those to compare
Magpeds are def better than the maglocks. With that said I like the hustle bike labs magnetic pedals more
I'll have to look into those!
Seems like those would be really heavy.
They aren't terrible compared to other full aluminum flat pedals on the market. If anyone worried about weight, I'd recommend just going clipless. It provides a little bit more efficiency and it's lighter.
2 videos in one day 🤪
Finally had time to get a few up! 😎
