This is kind of a dream com true! I have always wanted to own a dirt bike and ride a track/race. Today I took my first laps on a track and took my first ever jumps on a dirt bike. I did end up jumping a berm into a pond, but no harm done! Hope you enjoy the ride! I am looking forward to more days on the moto!

Wet days in Bentonville are still FUN!

Every time I go to Bentonville Arkansas, it rains. Over the last few trips, we have discovered some trails that fair very well in the rain! What is your favorite trail in Bentonville.
I am done riding MagPed Pedals and here is why....
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.4 месяца назад
After riding these pedals for two full seasons with multiple downhill days and hard riding, I am done. These pedals feel great, but the durability and design could be better. I have lost over six magnets in my time with theses! What has your experience been with these pedals?

Back again at the KA bike Duluth festival! 7 stages of pure chunk and gnar and one brutal crash for me. I was feeling pretty good on my bike until stage 4 after that I started riding a little more cautious.

I've always wanted to try these pedals out and was able to get my hands on some this week. I brought them out to Piedmont and Spirit Mountain in Duluth for their maiden voyage. I really like how these pedals feel and function so far. I will be doing a long term review down the road, so stay tuned!

The race did not go as planned, but it was a super fun event and weekend! I ended up finishing 65th with doing 2 runs on just a front brake. I'm not supper happy with the results, but it gives me something to improve on next summer! S/O to @higherbasemedia for the 3rd person shots!

There is a little video of the practice day before my enduro race at the KA bike Duluth festival! Had a hard slam right out of the gate, but was able to get some goof practice in following Cody. Spirit mountain is gnarly fun!

I know this is a long video, but it was a long ride down! We drove around 2 hours up gold camp road in my buddy's Avalon and then had an hour of riding back down! It was a blast! Loose, chunky, and fast! If you watch the whole video, you are a legend! 🙌👌
Awesome riding. Great job!
I appreciate it! This event is such a good time!
Hmmm 🤔. This was interesting. Learning experience. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Very nice. Time to increase the insurance 😅.
Yeah no kidding
who brings a clock with them to play disc golf? not me
I heard clocks make a good mid range disc
@sotashredder3378 I did watch this video but I swear I posted this comment on a disc golf video...
I was confused 🤣 but it makes sense now
nice riding for first time. i really recommend getting neckbrace it is cheap life insurance. riding position is really important here youtube is full of videos for prober positions.
Thank you! I've been kicking around the idea for a neck brave, just haven't pulled the trigger yet. I've definitely been watching position videos, just need to put that information into practice!
Try using Vibra-Tite VC-3 instead of Loctite. It’s specifically made for shock loaded and high vibration applications. It’s more of a rubberized gasket like material than a glue which gets brittle like Loctite. Best thread locker I’ve ever used, and because it doesn’t harden it’s also easy to remove when you want to and is reusable.
I've never heard of that stuff! I'll have to get some
Wow. Thanks for sharing this with us. Looks amazing. Ten hours away 😞
It's totally worth the drive! Especially if you want to go ride in bentonville Arkansas
That's a good point. 🤔😜
Most trails in mn close when it rains. Don't want you to tear them up. Where the rocks slippery? Damn. The big jump looks scary.
They close the popular trail in bentonville with rain, but a lot of the less popular/rocky trails stay open. Yeah the rocks and wood do get very slick.
That was sick, great riding fellas 🤙🏾💯
Appreciate it!
i was out there a couple years ago. super fun seeing all those trails again. nice riding! making boneyard look easy.
Bentonville is such a fun place! They've been adding a bunch of stuff recently. I'd still say boneyard is my favorite trail 👌
Nice!! Keep posting, good stuff.
Appreciate it! Have some big things planned this summer!
How many stages do you have to pedal up? Thanks
It depends on what level you do, either the sport or open. Typically, the open is 4-5 climbs, and the sport is 2. They change it a little year to year.
Two years. You definitely gave them a fair try. You'll have to let us know how the new ones do. First? Thanks for sharing this with us.
You bet!
Great video, thanks for sharing. We'll be passing through this summer and will add this to the itinerary!
So sick! I hope to out next session!🤘
Come on out! It's a great time!
where did you get the longer pins?
You can order them directly off their website
You were moving! How did you do in some of the individual stages?
My two fastest stages were anvil and calc and monkey if I remember correctly. I was in the 30s.
Yoo this lil bike park looks super fun
It's a blast. The dual slalom is so much fun if you are racing someone
Here to steal lines for next year. BRUTAL crash
I'm very thankful to be okay! My lines weren't necessarily the fastest ones 😂 missed a few because I was too tired.
Awsome video! Great job on the race. You definitely improved compared to last year. Keep it up. You're the only one who posts about the spirit mountain bike festival.
I appreciate the kind words! The bike duluth festival is my favorite event of the year!
@sotashredder3378 hope to see you there next year. I plan to try out my first enduro.
I am planning on being there!
Hustle Labs version FTW
I'd love to try those to compare
Ouch 🤕. Thats some rough terrain. Was that part of a race? Any of those you?
These were all mine at the duluth bike festival in 2021
@@sotashredder3378 ouch. Rough. Any injuries? You ok?
@@harrygrimley4352all good 👍
Wow 😮. That was awesome. I've always wanted to try one. But I can't figure out the when and where. Do they have novice and age catagories.?
Yes, this race is a part of a series called lake superior gravity series. They have an intermediate and beginner category, which is most of the races
@@sotashredder3378 is there a name to Google. ? I'm a tech idiot 😂
@@sotashredder3378 ah. I found it. Looks like that was the only one in MN. 😟
@@harrygrimley4352 I believe there is an enduro that happened a few weeks ago in lacrosse Wisconsin and one that is happening next month at Steven's point Wisconsin
@@sotashredder3378 thanks. I give it a look.
dude that was fast
Ride fast take chances 🤟
Yoo I saw you !! Good job
Should've said hi!
@@sotashredder3378 would have but I was on the lift and you where on a trail👍
Rippin’ 💨
Grip it and rip it 🔥
Great job! Nice recovery after the spill.
Got up as fast as I could to make sure the bike was okay 😂😂
Hey. Good to hear from you today. Thank you for sharing this with us. Hope everyone is well.
Congrats on the family and the move! Nice you have a great skills area like that in your area.
He’s back!
Been busy 😂
Really awesome taking your extra dad out riding for his first time. Love the encouragement and good vibes. He did a great job, too. Thanks for the sweet video! Going to check Detroit Lakes out next weekend I think!
The lift is slow and the trails are short but it is fun!
Hey. You still alive? Still riding? Hope your well.
Still alive, still riding, and getting footage. Not having time to put together videos unfortunately 😒
Hold on a sec. I think you past a morel mushroom on that one trail with the dead tree in the forest... lmao
Better go out and pick it!
Just snagged a cassidy, bike is unreal
What is frame of the bike?
Salsa Cassidy
Hey buddy you missed two of the best trails in the back half! If you liked that jump line the other would have knocked your the rest of your brakes off. There is literally a tree gap!
I was looking into using my five ten kestrel pro shoes (just like the ones you have) but I feel discouraged.
The shoes work, but I feel like there are better clipless shoes for these pedals. The rubber on the kestrals don't hold up or grip as much as I'd like.
I might try these to avoid the pedal strikes, I am looking to keep my love for jumping with the stability of the flats and the attachment of clipless.
Is that an extra seat on your top tube?
It is a shotgun rider for toddlers to ride mtb with you
I'm definitely mag curious. But I've also found that riding a full suspension will help keep your feet from bouncing off pedals on rough stuff.
Full suspension bikes are definitely way smoother compared to hardtails. But once you get going fast through rough terrain on a full suspension, your feet still bounce off the pedals when you are on flats.
Good info & I appreciate hearing your point of view. Good stuff! Please post vid of you riding with your kiddo on board. THanks for posting.
Think it would be ok to ride a mountain board there?
I do not. Especially since its private property. And as someone who has mountain boarded, I don't think there would be many sections to actually ride on the trails.
Just reviewed these myself and put out a video. You nailed it. I could not agree more and came to the same conclusion. I love that they offer the best of both worlds. Nice video!
I appreciate it! I can't wait to try the new pedals soon.
I am considering these pedals mostly because I want to get into jumps. I was mostly an xc rider for the past 10 years with clipless pedals. although I understand the technique, I find it hard to keep my feet stuck to the pedals with flat shoes when I am in the air and that makes my landing dangerous. I hope these pedals would help which should i go with? 200N or 150N?
I would do 200N to decrease the chances of your feet coming off mid air.
Loads of real-World user info in a brief and entertaining video, good work. Wasn't sure about these before, but about to order a pair. Thanks!
Hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
I’m on the fence. I tried SPD and CrankBros not in love with finding the sweet spot to lock in but like being connected.
Have you tried these? I think they are simple and really effective!
do you have a GPS coordinate/ road intersection where to go to start this trail? I would totally be down to ride it.
I do not unfortunately. I know the trail is on trail forks
@@sotashredder3378 thank you that helped me find it!
Awesome review, this was a fun day!
Nice, I'm a beginner triathlon biker, this looks a lot safer than clip in pedals! Thank's for the video!👌🚲
what do you recommend to get for a stock mountain bike I just got my self one
Are you talking upgrades? Or equipment?
