We had defensive mistakes in the Seattle game that didn't come back to bite us. More mistakes in this game. We're still a rush team. Meier and Cotter are good skaters but they're a little too much in love with their speed. Jack needs to recognize when to dump and chase. Some teams he can skate through. Some aren't going to let it happen.

The immortal Scott Wedgwood puts up a shut out. Guess we were a little overly optimistic about being a cup contender just yet. Your take was spot on about shutting us down, everyone in the league knows it, not everyone can defend that way. Still need to make more moves, relatively quickly or this will be a nice season with another 1st or 2nd round playoff elimination.

Yeah. I know the current 4th line has been doing pretty good, but the sheriff should be deployed every now and then to shake things up so we don't fall asleep like we did tonight. I don't know much about the Leafs' game, but MacD needs to be in on Tuesday after this performance.

For me the loss was secured when Dougie coughed up the puck to Mittelstadt on a zone entry during a line change resulting to a wide open off the bench Lehkonen buries it to make it 3-0. Man that was brutal just get the puck in deep or safely enter the zone 😮💨

Well Ace, it sucks they lost but we should of seen this coming the second they announced Wedgewood was in net for them considering he had our number and i believe is 4-0-0 against us. the only thing we can do is forget about this game and move onto the next which is Tuesday against General Keefe's former club and hopefully we can beat them like they did us during our home opener. I was there and after those disallowed goals in the 1st period really killed our morale both team and fans. 2nd period we did absolutely nothing. Idk about you guys but Allen at net doesn’t sit well with me everytime. We play so bad today, it was one of their worst games I’ve seen them play in quite some time.

The game was difficult to watch. Hopefully the boys can turn it around from these slow starts. It’s only December and there’s plenty of time to right the ship. Like you said, can’t win every game, let’s take it one game at a time.

The head to head stats before the game had the Devils leading in every category. The game played out totally opposite. Devils decided to play a one dimensional offense, instead of getting physical to open up the game. “Heavier, Edgier, More Violent” is on holiday break it seems. LGD

Some talk crap about him, but it’s a different team when he is playing. Even for 5 minutes a game. As for my time up in NJ and going to the two games. It was a blast and I always take the good with the bad in everything. Devils won’t win them all and I’ve seen worst loses in my time as a fan. Glad I got to meet you and Amagi. Definitely a top hockey night experience for me :) Next game is in Toronto on 1/16. If I don’t make it to the Rags game at the end of the season, I’m satisfied with my attend record this year already :) 5-1. LGD! Hope to be back in June :)

I think we need a solid 4 th line I know the injury to that line isn't good but something needs to be done. It seems more times than not the 3rd and 4th lines are never the same no chemistry building I don't like cotter on the 4th line he needs to play the more ice time for him the better he plays . I know he took a couple of bad penalties but let it go play this man. Thanks as always. And also I didn't work Sunday so it seems like a pattern no work = loss work = win LGD
Are there plans A&B when teams employ those defensive schemes? Does the lack of intensity come down to the team leadership? Jack and Nico are who they are: great skilled guys, but seemingly unflappable in their emotions - whether the going is good or bad.

Colorado yet again upgraded their goalie position by trading for Blackwood. The two goalies that started the season are now gone. This is what a true GM does. Looking for ways to make the team better on the fly. Fitzgerald in the meantime just wishes and hopes... Again

What a lame game. Looked like the team was playing in quicksand. Colorado plays the most boring style of hockey when they're ahead. Like going 85 to 45 in 10 seconds on a highway. Confident they can bounce back for the next 3 games!
I blame Fitzgerald. The team has no forward depth, and it's all his fault. He's done a lousy job of bolstering the position in the draft and the free agents he's brought in have contributed little besides Noesen. Palat and Haula are awful. Cotter has disappeared. The blueline has been of little help when it comes to scoring, and again, point the finger at Fitzgerald. He drafted Nemecs when he should have taken Cooley, and this year he drafts a Russian giant defenseman with little offensive upside when he should have taken Zeev Buium. Also, it sure would be nice to have Sharangovich on the team, wouldn't it? Fitz stinks as a GM, pure and simple.
Once we got down 2-0 Colorado put on a textbook clinic on how to play and protect a lead. Hope they at least learned something from last night

Goalkeeper control
Referees must decide if the goalkeeper has enough control of the puck to stop play. For example, if the goalkeeper partially covers the puck in the crease and is in control of their movements, play should likely continue.
Frozen puck
Referees should act quickly to stop play when the puck is frozen to prevent altercations around the goal. However, referees shouldn't stop play every time the goalkeeper touches the puck.
Lost sight of puck
If the referee loses sight of a partially covered puck, they should stop play immediately.

What a lame game. Looked like the team was playing in quicksand. Colorado plays the most boring style of hockey when they're ahead. Like going 85 to 45 in 10 seconds on a highway. Confident they can bounce back for the next 3 games!

I blame Fitzgerald. The team has no forward depth, and it's all his fault. He's done a lousy job of bolstering the position in the draft and the free agents he's brought in have contributed little besides Noesen. Palat and Haula are awful. Cotter has disappeared. The blueline has been of little help when it comes to scoring, and again, point the finger at Fitzgerald. He drafted Nemecs when he should have taken Cooley, and this year he drafts a Russian giant defenseman with little offensive upside when he should have taken Zeev Buium. Also, it sure would be nice to have Sharangovich on the team, wouldn't it? Fitz stinks as a GM, pure and simple.
Fitz absolutely terrible as a GM. I hope if Jersey falters this season he gets the boot
