I'm through enjoying my Flip. I went with the 16bit version and it's so nostalgic. I bought this on a whim because the sliders interested me and I thought it might hold me over until the KTR1 arrives. But this still may end up being my favorite just because it's so small and so unique in this hobby. Clamshell and sliders.
Very unique. Although I’m on a trip and I brought it with and I am missing the RP3+ - I struggle with the sliders and the form factor. It is very nice for New Super Mario DS, though. Actually it’s VERY nice for this! So… pros and cons.
Mine has extremely squeaky dpad when pressing right or down. I contacted retroid and they encourage me to disassemble it to remove any possible rubber from around dpad. Really annoying and there are no even dissassemble instructions and this device is way more challenging to disassemble than previous retroids. I just hope it doesn't break or something. Otherwise yeah it's a great device and the color is ok
@@adinwalls mmyeah idk I thought about this, but it's really loud and feels like a bit harder to press too. Anyways I don't think it's a common issue, just my kind of luck 😅
But the pocket flip has a very smooth but it can be slippery whenever grab it it slip thru my hand . I have a indigo i almost drop it but lucky caught it . I went to store and found rubber tape called anti slip tape it for anti slip step for stair but anyway i added on my retroid pocket flip it works it so grips wouldn’t slip my hands it was fantastic hold on tight without getting accidentally drop it . If you put in your pocket and grab it and pull flip out of pocket it wouldn’t slip . It perfectly grabs .
Even though it's probably not a good idea for portability, but if the shape of the Flip was like the shape of the grip, i think it'll be quite a interesting. Just like the Nvidia Shield 🤔
Same performance as RP3+ and the flip is quite comfy to hold. The flip screen is very nice for travel. Put it this way, I’m travelling this weekend and I am taking the Flip, not the RP3+ purely for the portability. I still prefer the classic form factor of the Rp3+ though.

Hmm, I had a bit of squeaking in the beginning. Maybe you should just try wear it in for a while.

Oh I see yes that sound like opening it up and re-aligning everything will work.

Im between the flip and rp3+ and i dont know which to choose and reccomedations?
I have a video going out in a few hours that may help you. Personally I would choose the RP3+ unless you really like the novelty of the FLIP
Yeah but i like clamshells
Retroid Pocket FLIP 1 MONTH LATER

I'm thinking about pre-ordering the flip but I also really want the 3+. Which would you recommend more?
The flip is definitely a novelty item. The RP3+ is more practical in my opinion
@@adinwalls alright thanks

@@flamingninjaz195 how does it play?

Great review dosent feel like your fishing for views
Thank you
So how much do love it?????!!!!!!! I just got the RG35XX and I'm curious how load times compare.
Well there’s no real comparison of this to the RG35XX. The FLIP is faster and better all round.
I’m trying to decide on my final verdict on the Flip. It’s definitely the most nostalgic device next to the Miyoo Mini.
@laziiman2103 honestly, the form factor of the flip is very nostalgic but the regular form factor like the RP3+ is far more practical.
If you have to get used to the colour, then you've made a colour choice mistake.
it looks cheap, plasticky and horrible.. ughh!!
I really like it
