- CPP senator Oknha Mong Reththy is one of Cambodia's wealthiest businessmen.
In 1978, he and his wife, Maen Sun, were married by the Khmer Rouge in a wedding ceremony with 12 other couples.
They were the only couple to remain together.
Suffering together turn into love and understanding . Through think and thin which you two stand by each other's. Loves and compassion.
This is so interesting. A very lovely coupe and it was real dedication to stay together! Happy to have spent some quality time with Okhnya and Mrs. Mong Reththy! Aukun!

Vietnam saved the suffering souls of the Cambodian people. they have suffered the bad reputation of invading Cambodia. They sacrificed a lot of soldiers in this country to save their people from the hands of genocide executioners.
You know what, this is not too late if you want to having the real wedding and more happier ceremony. ❤

At least a TINY flame of love survived this EVIL. Along with the holocaust, schools should teach their history students about Pol Pot. If a secondary school teacher asked a class of GCSE history students 'put you're hand up if you know who Pol Pot was' they may get one raised hand or none. As important as it is to teach the holocaust, the Cambodian genocide is also one I feel needs teaching in schools, to show young people that things like the holocaust could happen again. It's our responsibility to help prevent it by using the precious gift of education.
If you're a regular 'school skipper' you are throwing an enormous gift away. Many children and teens in third world countries have NO access to free, state funded, mandatory education, the internet, study books etc. Their poor parents often cannot afford to send their child to school.
Don't throw your education away, it's the key to your future and the future of your country.

People who didn’t have education and skills, they only knew just accept serve as Khmer Rouge. That’s why they couldn’t justice well.

I was force to get married in 1977 . At noon time I heard they announce my name to married that night it was 20 couples ( my name was in it ) but I got away because to told the leader group ; I got engaged with the khmer rough soldier , I will get marriage in 1980 . They wrote down what I told them and keep in file. The leader said ; If 1980 come you’re not marriage, we ( Anka ) will marriage you with the handicap soldier . if you refuse you’ll get destroy .........
