    I just spent the weekend chasing permit and trevally down in Okinawa. Left with zero fish in hand. This series keeps the stoke alive but firmly grounded in reality. Cheers

    This series made it a requirement that I go fly fishing for bone fish in the Bahamas soon. Awesome job guys. Editing and filming, really the whole production, is top notch too.

    Scotty, huge props on creating the moment you had landing your bone fish. Filming, editing, and portraying the feeling of the moment is so much easier said than done. You nailed it man, loved the series and the story! If you find yourself needing a hand with the camera on your trout missions here around UT, feel free to reach out!

    This is so good! Complete DIY from travel to house to fishing spots, plus great camaraderie topped off with a good dose of hard, hard fought and hard earned first fish. Oh, and sunburn! Epic and well done! Now I gotta go look into flights to the Bahamas ...

    Look forward to your videos! Im still wondering why you guys don't use nets?? I always have a net with me flyfishing freshwater and occasionally saltwater. Is it becasue of the hassle of having to wade the water with it?? Awesome Video!

    • @WildFlyProductions
      @WildFlyProductions  3 месяца назад

      For this, we honestly just didn’t pack nets. Some people use nets for bones, but I think most avoid it to not mess up their protective slime layer.

    • @Neibsfly18
      @Neibsfly18 3 месяца назад +2

      For some reason you don’t use nets for bones, tarpon, permit, etc. idk why but when I’ve done it I’ve never used a net and guides haven’t used nets as well.

    • @spoff4183
      @spoff4183 3 месяца назад

      A net knocks the slime off the bone and slime protects the fish from disease/ infection. Worse, when a fish is handled ( net or just hands) and the slime layer is disturbed sharks can more easily track down the tired bonefish. Best practice is to avoid handling the bonefish, or at least turn her on her back and the bonefish will go into a coma state for the unhooking. Great videos!
