I can honestly say my life is dedicated to catching bones. I am fully addicted. Thanks for sharing your journey.
Dude. Mine too, full addiction since my first trip to the Bahamas. Fly fishing has never been the same since.
The feeling of catching that fish is better than drugs! Congrats! Happy birthday!
Amen brother!
I just spent the weekend chasing permit and trevally down in Okinawa. Left with zero fish in hand. This series keeps the stoke alive but firmly grounded in reality. Cheers
Sounds like you went permit fishing then😅 Salt is all about patience and sticking with it. You’ll dial it in next time.
One of my favorite series so far!!!! Can’t wait for chapter 4🔥🔥
Thanks boss! Chapter 4 coming soon 😈
@@WildFlyProductions HECK YA!!
This series made it a requirement that I go fly fishing for bone fish in the Bahamas soon. Awesome job guys. Editing and filming, really the whole production, is top notch too.
No doubt. Never been there but planning the family vacation for next summer. 😂
Thanks dude! You gotta get out and bonefish. It’s a must do fly fishing experience.
What a awesome catch well done
Shout out to the boys depicting the truth about fishing!
Crazy how it went from birthday browns to birthday bones lol
Scotty, huge props on creating the moment you had landing your bone fish. Filming, editing, and portraying the feeling of the moment is so much easier said than done. You nailed it man, loved the series and the story! If you find yourself needing a hand with the camera on your trout missions here around UT, feel free to reach out!
I appreciate that brother!
I fish that same island...it can be that hard! You did well!
What a catch! Hard-work paid off, congrats.
Y’all are so inspiring to get me back trying to fly fish. I bought a really nice combo and haven’t used it. Im gonna stick to it till I figure out how on the Alabama gulf coast.
I’m a freshwater guy but I would assume there are some opportunities for redfish & speckled trout down there. Tight lines man.
Heck yeah!
This is so good! Complete DIY from travel to house to fishing spots, plus great camaraderie topped off with a good dose of hard, hard fought and hard earned first fish. Oh, and sunburn! Epic and well done! Now I gotta go look into flights to the Bahamas ...
Haha you got that right!
I’ve enjoyed the series so far I’m always looking forward to the next post
One more episode to close it out!
3 comments. 1. Hell yes. 2. Hell yes. 3. y=Your title "birthday bones" has sooooooo many click-bait alt meanings.
Awesome video guys! I can’t wait to chase some bones
They’re the best!
if you touch it, it counts! nice bone scotty!
Size or not so pretty, pretty fish, amazing story, amazing cinematography, keep crushing.
Amazing trio.
Slow is smooth and smooth is fast
Amen!
Wild fly is such a hidden gem I found it a couple months ago and have been watching videos evr since excited to see what comes next. Nice bones, wishing you well
Appreciate you!
Look forward to your videos! Im still wondering why you guys don't use nets?? I always have a net with me flyfishing freshwater and occasionally saltwater. Is it becasue of the hassle of having to wade the water with it?? Awesome Video!
For this, we honestly just didn’t pack nets. Some people use nets for bones, but I think most avoid it to not mess up their protective slime layer.
That’s a caught fish. Leader touch
Scotty was in limBONE
Absolutely awesome footage and honesty behind the grind. I talked to your dad at the Maggie Valkey fly festival and told him I was ready for part 3. It did not disappoint!
That first fish counts, you grabbed him. You just didn't get the IG shot.
Bonefish drama continues. Great episode.
Thanks boss!
Calm down dude. It will come. More you think about it, the more it wont come.
You guys are awesome
No net? Damn that sucked , i feel your pain. We’ve all been there.
Sorry if I sound dumb but why no net?
For some reason you don’t use nets for bones, tarpon, permit, etc. idk why but when I’ve done it I’ve never used a net and guides haven’t used nets as well.
A net knocks the slime off the bone and slime protects the fish from disease/ infection. Worse, when a fish is handled ( net or just hands) and the slime layer is disturbed sharks can more easily track down the tired bonefish. Best practice is to avoid handling the bonefish, or at least turn her on her back and the bonefish will go into a coma state for the unhooking. Great videos!
